March 31st. ^_^ If it's anything like mine they will send you an e-mail with the face-up so make sure it's good when they're close to sending.

 

Guyyyyyyssssss I paid off my Hilda today, which means she will be sent over soon! I'm hoping to have her by the weekend!

EDIT: She shipped today! I should have her Saturday!!!! Also put the next payment on HongLee. :3

My Kimi finally arrived! ---> Box opening thread here~

I contacted AS on the 13th asking for an order update and they told me that they'd ship him out that day (I guess he was sitting around?) and that they'd email me my tracking info later. Though they never did and I was about ready to send them an email last night asking for it (I had the feeling that they hadn't even shipped him really haha) when I found a package delivery notice in the mail~

So I picked him up today and it just feels so good to have this little guy home finally~

That being said, MasahtiJade, he arrived as a boy and all is well so you can start modding on yours if you haven't already! Thank you so much for waiting though!

Well, he's going to be my InuYasha doll (If you don't know the character, this is what he looks like) I'm hoping it wont take me TOO long, I've already made a human sized one so hopefully making a mini one wont be so difficult? I'm not sure, because it'll be the first FULL outfit I make for a doll. (I've made sock dresses and some tunics, but never a kimono and pants >.> ) Honestly, I'm just procrastinating. I have the 68cm body for my YanDi, so it's not like I don't have a body to use

AS is on vacation now, they'll be back next Wednesday. I'm currently waiting for some hands. They're taking forever!

 

MoC got back to me, they don't know what the hold up is, but the April order is next in line to ship, so that's good news

Well, I went to the PO today thinking I was picking up a small package containing a shirt for one of my other dolls. Imagine my surprise when the lady behind the desk brought out a big, doll-sized package! AS never sent me a tracking #, so I had no idea my boy had even shipped. I haven't opened the package up yet, though, since I picked it up on my way to work!

Well, my guy was in perfect condition and my whole order was accounted for! The default faceup was really detailed and beautiful. I say was because I unfortunately had to wipe it since it was a little too eh... sparkly? for my guy. Talking copious amounts of pearl powder and the dreaded sparkle glitter over the face. It was a free default, though, so no complaints! Wiping the faceup has made his mods easier, though. On the other hand, the simple eye opening has now turned to a full-blown face lift.>.< His character has developed a lot over the past couple months, and the once appealing masculine jaw line of the sculpt looks a bit too mature for him now. So I'm going to concentrate on softening that up a bit and see how it goes. I'm really surprised, though, even with very coarse sand paper, there is really very little discoloration in the resin! However AS is mixing their resin, it's amazing.

Anyway, Anchi I hope your Honglee shows up soon! That sculpt is such a looker.^3^

 

Oh wow, what exciting plans you have for your Leo, Kimchi! I didn't know that AS ever did glittersplosion faceups on their boy dolls -- I thought only Fairyland did that!

But yeah, that's awesome to hear about how well the resin is sanding. AS is freaking awesome. Congrats again on your new boy!

 

Yea, my leo has a pretty fabulously sparkly faceup too. It fit his character nicely, so I didn't mind. I could see how it wouldn't be in someones taste though. Excited to hear about your plans, Kimchi! Do share pictures of the progress and the final product!

 

vadafade, "glittersplosion" is a perfect word to describe the faceup.xD It was very detailed and beautiful, but I am just not a glitter person at all. I think maybe because it always seems to wind up all over my arms and face.

Anchi, I've seen pics of your Leo and he's very handsome! Your photos definitely helped me decide on ordering my own Leo.:3

I've completed my boy, Keethos' mods. You can see him below on the right! Blue painter's tape because he's getting ready for a faceup.:P Overall, the mods went pretty smoothly. He definitely looks more like himself now! I opened his eyes slightly so he's not so dreamy, and I curved his jawline pretty significantly to narrow his face and make him look a bit softer. Sanding was a little bit tricky since I only have up to 1000 grit sandpaper, so I opted to abuse his face with a magic eraser until I got the smoothest finish it would give me. Any scratches that are remotely noticeable now are only so under intense natural light, and I suspect the MSC and faceup will take care of that for me! The most challenging part, now, is to keep myself reigned in during the faceuping process! I'm so used to intense, dramatic faceups for my girls that it's hard to adapt to boy faceups.

 

The eye opening sure does make a difference in his sculpt! I LOVE him like this! I can't wait to see the faceup you give him :3

I saw they was using a wrong address and I contact them before they send the order the first time. I have no idea what is wrong.

My doll arrived, after one month of the first sending... AS send it 3 times and fails they was wrong with the address and used a mail service that was not compatible with my country...
AS didn't sent the little band aid stickers for the little Tauro boy that was missing. I contacted them to send them. I will post some pictures.
