Angell-Studio Waiting Room v4

I am... a bit frustrated, to put it mildly.
I got the exciting news that my dolls would be shipping this week, and was thrilled! I paid extra to upgrade to DHL shipping since our EMS has been so slow lately.
...yeah, well, apparently there was a shipping mix-up and Angell Studio sent my dolls via EMS.
... ...and the Chinese shipping center they've been routed to is reporting 30- to 60-day delays for shipments to the US.
... ... ...that's before we account for the delays on the US side, especially with my local customs processing center, so that could add between 1 week and 4 weeks.

If they'd been sent DHL as I requested, I would get them in 3-4 days.
Instead, the earliest I will see them is likely 1 month and it make take as much as 3 months.

(I've already been refunded the extra I paid for DHL, but somehow that doesn't make up for a 3-4 day wait during into a 1-3 month wait.)

I ordered through a dealer, but the dealer had arranged for the dolls to be shipped directly to me. The proxy gave them the right information, Angell Studio just... completely flubbed the shipping.

 

I am sorry to barge in here, but it seems the most appropriate place to ask this question. I have been reading a bit about what is going on with Angel Studio and I got really confused! I am interested in getting one of their dolls and on their site, they say that the manufacture period is 3 to 4 months and in here I read that is 2 months or 10 months!! So does anyone know what is their manufacturing period?

 

I ordered my Hua Rong and Bai Rong through two official Taobao BJD dealers (SWDoll and CCDollHouse). Hua Rong with face up arrived at Superbuy (Taobao agent) after only two months, Bai Rong in blank made it within 7 months. I would say try your luck with them and the wait is definitely worth it since Angell Studio dolls are simply amazing

 

LOL!!! That is so random!! My husband wants to buy me a dress from them as a gift for Easter since we both believed that the doll would probably arrive around that time, but if it takes 7 months to arrive, he might be buying me a birthday present instead :p

Anyway, thank you for your reply. I do love their style and I have heard that they have great quality resin too! I don't know how they do it, but their dolls have amazing eye shapes! I am crazy for 3 or 4 of them! If only I could get them all!

 

My blank white doe/faon took 2 months. The mermaid from them took 6 months, but that's understandable due to the body being a nonstandard type and uses clear resin and automatically comes with body blushing

 

I saw her on the marketplace. Why are you selling her? Good job on the face up. You nailed the colors and feeling quite nicely! I really like Fao white Doe, I am also drooling over Wen Yao fullest and Ines time ambassador. If Faon had the new ver 2020 heel legs I would probably snatch a full set in no time, but when I see Wen Yao’s eyes, I become so captivated and then Ines has such an interesting look! Like I said I really like a lot of their dolls, but the randomness is a bit annoying for me. I contacted Ioridolls, the European dealer and asked a couple of question that will help me decide. Anyone ever ordered through Ioridolls?

 

Lol I'm starting to waffle on whether I actually want to sell her. I'm getting more and more attached to the head, but I just bought Caroline. So one of them will have to go. White doe does have heeled feet, but it's the 2017 body. I might end up selling the Caroline head on the 2017 body and keep the 2020 body.

Is your incoming Caroline blank or with the face-up? I find her face-up style so dreamy, maybe my favorite I've seen from Angell Studio!

In some good news, by some miracle, my new girl has arrived!!! Her shipping time ended up being just shy of 2 weeks -- slower than the 30-60 day delay that I'd been warned about, but still longer than the 3-4 days that DHL would have taken. Finally, I can breathe again.

 

She's going to be blank, but i might copy the ASdoll faceup, their taobao is so handy for the faceup pics.

@bahboh Oh, congrats! Did you order Caroline with her fullset outfit? I'd love to have the dark version one but sadly AS isn't selling it seperately.

 

Lol i didn't. I just got the nude doll because I was primarily just interested in her body (Lol out of context that might sound bad).

It looks like I'll get my Qingyi and Chiyu phoenix sculpts in the next few days. Yay!
I didn't expect the delivery at all, only sometime after the Chinese New Year holidays.
AS forgot to send me my tracking number beforehand. That's why I asked AS via email whether the two dolls are already on their way - and it's this package.

 

I've received the AS package with both Phoenix sculpts today. Yay!
Now I must still find a few out of production accessories to complete my beautiful Chiyu and Qingyi full sets.

Hi everyone! I just put a Fiona on layaway. She was an event head, but they're letting me buy her as a nude full doll. I tried to see if they would sell a Caroline head so that I could body share on the same body, but they will only sell the full doll.

Thank you! ^_^ They gave me the option to choose between the flat foot 60cm body or the high heel leg 60cm body. I chose the flat foot since I think it will be more versatile. I tried to buy the 58cm high heel feet, but they said they won't fit and told me they're developing separate high heel feet for the 60cm.

My Racrimosa has shipped
A little less than 3 months wait. Better than I expected, if I'm honest. I was expecting to wait maybe 5 months, so I'm pleasantly surprised to have gotten a shipping notification from clover-singing already

I just got my shipping notice for a blank Caroline from clover singing too! It took a little longer than I expected after my 2 month wait last year for white doe, but yay finally! @BynByn93 I think maybe AS shipped both of our orders to clover singing at the same time and so she shipped it out at the same time too

 

I got the good news that my tan Wen Yao arrived at the proxy! I'm waiting for just a few more items to come into the warehouse before I have her shipped, but that means I'll see her sometime in early April.

Caroline came in today! however i think customs completely unwrapped her and left hair inside the box along with brown scuffs.... there was no bubble wrap or foam around her arms, legs, and head, just the foam and bubble wrap scraps floating around in the box. they even unwrapped the poster D: thankfully nothing was broken, but it felt really unpleasant and dirty doing the box opening....

 

I ordered the full set of The White Doe with body blushing November 6, and she arrived last week!

 

I just did my first AS order for a wig, shoes, and accessories for my existing dolls. Hopefully the wait time for those aren’t as long as for full dolls and sets.

 

Not too long of a wait usually. Though shipping is nuts right now. And as far as it goes, I swear they use the flimsiest cardboard for their boxes ever. Nothing has ever been broken for me, but don't be surprised if it looks like it was used as the ball in a World Cup final.

I did get the fullset, yes! AS makes such beautiful clothes, I had to.

 

Does anyone know if the "unit in stock" quantity on the website is of actual physical stock? Or is this the number of units they will make? I'm looking at purchasing Night elf full set, but would feel better about the purchase if I knew she was going to be shipping sooner than later.

 

It's the number of units they'll make. I think their shipping times are pretty good right now. I ordered the Biyao fullset in July and received her in mid-September.

I just placed my first order with AS - an outfit, two wigs and some elf ears. I'm curious how long your ended up taking? Super excited about it though...I've been creeping on the website for forever!

@Ctrowbridge77 I forgot to update! I received my order on Oct 5. Placed the order on Aug 17 and it was shipped out Sep 9. Spent a while in transit and the box was smashed when it got here, but everything inside was in good shape.

Are there any good recent comparisons of solid pink vs solid butter? A lot of posts are from 2017 and I'm wondering if it's changed much. Most owners seem to be saying the solid pink is too pink?

Just went ahead and purchased a fullset Crescent Night elf

 

Joining the waiting room! Finally ordered Adele, been eyeing her for a couple months now. The wait doesn't seem to be too long currently? Hope she gets here fast.

 

I think the wait may be pretty decent these days, but I'm only speculating. I ordered two wigs, and outfit and elf ears from them on 11/2 and they shipped them 11/19. They didn't get to me in the US until 12/4, and of course it wasn't a doll, only accessories, but I was estimating it would take about two months to reach me based on what people said and it ended up being super quick! So it sounds like they may have things quite on track.

So, hopefully your Adele and Crescent elf @Chrys and @diamondust arrive soon! They are both such awesome ladies. The outfit I got was the Time Ambassadors' so I love those girls (the dress is utterly glorious)!!

And now I had to buy that new princess braided 8-9 wig and the other elf ears that came back in stock. I have a serious wig problem, y'all....

 

I just placed an order for LingZe tan through new clover singing. I am informed that AS production time is about 4 to 5 months for now

 

That dress is stunning! I'm quite jealous, I recently purchased on of Gem of doll''s full outfits though ( Maya's ) Because I think it will look superb on the crescent elf, so I couldn't grab any of the other's but I think I'd love to nab the pink dreamy ball dress at a later date too.

 

@diamondust Ahhhhh the Maya dress is awesome! That'll look so cool with your crescent elf! Do you get the crown with the set (I'm kind of obsessed with the crown lol)?

Ooh yes, I also loved the pink ball gown!! I think one of the coolest things about the time ambassadors gown is how nicely they placed and cut the outer pieces to show off the print well, and also have parts like the corset nicely matching from right to left sides etc. I was not expecting that level of effort put into cutting the garment and was just hoping I reasonably liked where the print was placed on mine....nope, it's superb. I'm really impressed.

 

I only ordered a single set of the elf ears, and they shipped November 20th, here's hoping I see movement in the tracking sometime soon.

 

I ordered the mermaid bust in tan on Dec 12th and it was shipped out on the 3rd Here's hoping it gets here within the next 2 weeks!

ETA: It arrived todays aaaannnnddd I love it!!!

 

I ordered Crescent night elf with faceup, eyes and wig on December 7th. I received a shipping notice yesterday Jan 21st.
About a month and a half from ordering to shipping.

 

I ordered a painted Lin head through a proxy on December 30. Just got notice she's at the proxy!

But they won't be able to ship her until after CNY.

 

Received my Crescent night elf today. so about 2 months from ordering to delivered Always love a fast turn around!
