Nice to see Momo again too mysteriousracerj! I really like her hoodie! Lol I do the same thing! I can't stand it if my dolls are in winter gear and it's hot outside (or if they're dressed in summer clothes and it's cold!)

Took my kiddos outside today to play in the snow!

 

Oh my gosh that's so cute!! The snow angels, and the footprints leading up to them...! I've been wanting to do a snow shoot with Momo forever, but last year we had like no snow and this year whenever we have snow, I'm in one place and Momo's in another!

 

Oh, so cute!!! No snow here so far, I hope I'll be able to do a little shoot like this sometime (although I'm grateful the temperature is okay right now, lol).

 

Thank you! ugh we have soooo much snow right now. :P and so cold. Could hardly be outside for very long to do this.
I do hope you both can do something similar some day! It's fun to get them out in the snow.

 

I received my first Angell-Studio doll from Mint on Card and I am very impressed with the detail they put into their dolls. He even came with kips already installed and poses wonderfully! I happened on these dolls while looking for clothes for another yosd doll - so glad I found them

I got Cheney and he is adorable, though he will be a girl here, and he makes a beautiful girl. My DIL is suppose to show me how to post pictures on Sunday so hopefully next week I can add some spam.

I'm so excited! I ordered a Hamtaro miniature so that Momo could cosplay as Laura at our Comic Con next weekend, and it came in today!

I think she looks adorable with her anime-style look. I'm very curious to see what other constellations Angell-Studio will create.

 

I saw her earlier in the week, she looks so cute!! I can't get her because Luts is taking all my money, but I'll definitely keep a look out for other releases. I totally have a thing for anime faces!

 

Oh my goodness! She's super cute, and my sign! Why aren't I rich?? I do think it's a little weird that they had some like... sexy motor girl pictures. Like, she's a Yo-SD, she's supposed to be a kid!

 

I think she's pretty cute too, though I think it's strange that she doesnt have a torso joint.... >.>

 

A lot of doll makers prefer the aesthetic of a jointless torso, like the older Volks girls. I like my dolls to have that joint too, but I'm pretty excited about the inbetween size of the new Starry body:

They really do! She looks like a very versatile sculpt I like the anime style more, though!

I love her anime face better than her regular face! I'm actually going to plce her on layaway thru MoC on Thursday. I can't wait to see the release for my sign. (I'm a Libra) I also wonder if they'll do boys and girls or just all girls.... If it turns out to be girl-boy-girl, then my sign will be female.

 

Looks like you were right, Yuki-chan86 - they're doing a girl-boy-girl thing. The Taurus sign was posted and it's a boy! I like how mischievous he looks.

Unfortunately, that means my sign (Scorpio) will be a boy. I was hoping for a cute girl.

 

Just wanted to jump in here and ask how long is the wait for AS dolls? I just saw the minotaur doll and am in love!

 

All four of my doll orders from them have arrived in less than two months.

 

Does anyone know what size eyes they take?
AS only has 9,5, 16 and 18mm eyes, but no 9,5s in stock at all. So I'm kind of confused...

 

If you're talking about the starry babies, Mine was 14mm from them.

And also they made my ayaliz in less than a month, contacted me and already finished my custom face up.. really fast working~

I was thinking about my third AS doll maybe being one of their zodiac dolls. I'm really liking the starry body and look forward to other releases as well.

Pixidance so far she is a fab poser lol i have a picture i took of her doing a cpt morgan pose. She stood on one foot like a champ.

I got the full package and opted for non anime face with anime eyes, the eyes are 16mm and i have since changed her to 14mm eyes but am a bit torn, i think i like the bigger eyes better on her. I love the body sculpt and might actually get a body only and swap my DL yoyo head out and put her on this body. they are taller and slimmer AS is calling it their senior body type.

 

The only thing that I would change is a add a torso joint for better posing and sit.
Everything else is nice...

Hey guys! Does anyone know if they ever made Trick in white skin? I've only seen tan and grey. His little face is perfect for a character of mine ('course I'd have to mod out the scar). And I haven't seen any in any color on the marketplace, so I may be outta luck either way! D:

 

I haven't seen many Tricks around altogether, so I believe not that many of him were sold. I do believe he was available in all their skintones, but correct me if I'm wrong!

I just ordered Geminy. The more I saw of her, the more she grew on me.

 

The girls tried on some of their new dresses.

 

They are just gorgeous!!! I love the pastel pink and purple on their grey resin.

 

The new Starry girl Aria (Cancer) is so cute! I want to hold off on buying any until they release a Leo or Libra, since they're my sun and rising signs, but this one is so sweet with her little wings and her artist outfit.

 

I'm glad I bought Geminy instead (even thought I'm a Cancer) I like her more Aria is cute, though. I love her outfit.

Hi all, I just wanted to ask if anyone's gotten a tan doll from Angell Studio recently? :3

I've just put in an order for a tan Bake, and I'm just a little confused because I'm nt getting slightly conflicting info that I read before. Previously, I read that AS does both normal and french resin for tan, but now I was told that all AS dolls are in french resin? It just strikes me as odd because I see pictures of tan AS dolls and some look like they've got translucent buttery skin, but others look like they're done in normal resin?

I'm sorry if this is such a noob question, but this will be my first doll from the company and I wanted to make sure I had my expectations in check.

 

Congrats on your order!! I don't have tan dolls from them, but I do have solid and translucent ones. AS themselves say that all their dolls are made of French resin, but not all skintones are translucent. The solid skintones are just that, solid and thus "normal". I believe the translucent ones would technically be referred to as "environmental" French resin which lets more light in. But yes, the solid skintones are the same as any other company like Luts or Fairyland or even Bobobie.

 

Oh, that explains so much! no wonder I was so confused, thanks so much for enlightening me! XD

I've been so worried I would personally hate the look of environmental looking resin, but I'm glad to know what I got would just be solid. Phew.

One last thing? Is their resin quick to yellow, would you know?

 

Only the translucent skintones. The solid ones don't yellow any quicker than other companies. My boy and girl haven't yellowed at all in the 2.5 years they've been with me. I would say my solid white girl has perhas mellowed a bit, but the solid butter boy looks no different than when I got him

I just got the pictures from Angell-Studio of my Bake They'll be sending my package off to me very soon. I'm so excited! No photos of Geminy but I assume that's because it's the default face up. I'm looking forward to some doll mail!!

 

I have gotten photos of all may dolls including the basic ones. They do send the pictures when the head is done even if something else, like an outfit, is holding up the shipment.

 

I really like their current Zodiac series~ I suppose Leo would be next right? I've been hanging to see Scorpio because that's my sign! XD
