Are there any plans to make 1/3 girl hands in different positions that can be purchased for the dolls?
I am also having problems accessing the listed website www.aoddoll.net I can get the page in english but can only acess pictures and information of the dolls that are featured on the home page. if I click on any of the links for 1/3, 1/4, and 1/6 doll nothing happens. Same thing for all the option parts. I also have some questions about the shipping of bodies. I ran across a thread two weeks back on here I think where a 1/3 body was packaged in a 1/4 box. It was just barely fitting in the box and the knee of the body had even popped thru the top of the box during the shipping process. Will the 1/3 bodies start shipping in an appropriate sized box? Or with better precautions to keep it safe? I'm really intrested in one of the boy bodies. I will try to find the thread that was referenced so that the quality of the shipping can be shown. If anyone else remembers this thread please help. I've been searching all over for it.
I was under the impression that the current seller on ebay I think the name was sky with numbers behind it is an agent.

I keep getting the impression that: SKY ( #######) = ALAN= Angelofdream ( here on DOA - though... didn't he have a different handle) = Person Aaron ( madonnafame) works under...? ... Who, if I understand correctly ( from what Jack posted) is an agent and not exactly AOD? Is this right? Things are getting extremely confusing...!
that's the impression but I'd like for someone to come out and say it plainly. It's still confusing to me! when we all first heard about AOD there was a huge discussion thread (http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135767) questioning the legitimacy of that first ebay seller, the dolls themselves, the first website that was available to order from, etc. And in the end, some of the info from the company made it seem like it was all official and authorized. Also, when the first english ordering AOD website came online we all thought that was the company site and now we find out it's not. The current ebay seller has changed name again and is now AODdolls. When that seller first came online they had a different name (top_sincerity####) and the ebay store name was Hotdollzone and because of some confusion with the company they changed it to sky#########, so it's still very unclear to me anyway who this seller really is. 3 Name changes in 5 months???? In that original AOD discussion thread (and later other threads) there was a lot of discussion as to whether this was the official company or not, and again I still have no idea. so........ topsincerity/sky######/aoddolls = Alan/Mr.Sun = AOD?????? and maybe the not-quite-working www.aoddolls.net = Alan = AOD also??? the only thing I know for sure is that Aaron (madonnafanme) is a real person (I've met him in person and talked to him lots) and is coordinating with the US dealers.
I'm also sure about Aaron. He's a member at the Ryung-Soah Yahoo group from before AoD even existed, and even if he doesn't post a lot there (gentle nudge, LOL), he has posted and shown us his personal collection of dolls. So I can say I've met him (in the web) before all this started. I don't think he's the same person than Alan.
Aaron is definitely not Alan. (I'm not quite sure who Alan is or if he is an agent or part of the AOD company.) Aaron is real - I've met him in person more than once. He is American and lives in the US (Las Vegas), but he works for Alan is my understanding.
I'm so confused now! I don't know who to buy from! And I would definately still like to know about how things are shipped. That one thread bothered me immensely when I saw the knee of the 1/3 body sticking thru a 1/4 box. It definately scared me off from buying a body and I would still really like to get one, just don't want to recieve it in that condition. Hrmm.. I still can't find that thread.
both my 1/3 doll and my 1/3 body were in 1/4 boxes. But that was awhile back. I haven't seen anyone post recently aboutt this so I don't know if it's changed yet. An official answer from AOD would be nice As for who to buy from? Even if this mess gets cleared up I'm sticking to the US dealers that Aaron is working with and will buy from Denver Doll.
Meanwhile, we in Asia seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, now that the only reputable sellers seem to be in the US (kind of an irony). I was planning to order a 1/4 boy body from Jack before the end of the year, but with him gone I don't know who to turn to now. Looks like both of these are now run by Alan. Jack is renaissancefashion on ebay.
Tokiko, you're right. I was so confused reading things this morning I mixed them up again when I wrote it out! I've corrected my thread to say what I meant: it looks like Alan is behind the aoddolls.net site and the ebay seller. is Alan also Angelofdream here on DoA (the originator of this thread)? And is Alan an agent or is he part of AOD?
It has been a long while... but when I was looking at the Chinese AOD site, there had been 3-4 contacts for AOD dolls... now, since I do not read Chinese, I do not know if they are stores, or agents, or reps, or what. But for those in Asia, you might try checking the Chinese site and seeing if you can contact one of those four people. Maybe that will help. Yes, it is all confusing. And I think alot of that has to do with the language barrier?! Maybe? I am wanting to purchase some AOD's in the future, but I will wait for awhile for everything to get straightened out! :-)
You mean on this page? they're all Chinese agents. In order, they're from (I think): Shenzhen (I think that's the HQ), Shanghai (I think), Guangzhou (I think), Beijing, Taiwan, Hong Kong (I can't read Chinese either, but with my rusty Japanese I'm sort of OK with reading city and country names.) yes! they really are wonderful dolls and it's unfortunate that these early problems existed. I love my dolls and plan to get more. I hope everyone else will continue to support the real AOD now that we know who they are. wow....glad I read these posts....I had placed an order at the www.angel-of-dream.com site ....it hadnt asked for for any payment info, just said an invoice would be sent...I sent an email asking if I could cancel since there seems to be so much trouble.... Yes - Please order your doll from one of our trusted USA Retailers. The stores that have signed on to carry the AOD lines are well trusted stores and the problems that happened with our China Agents\Retailers will not happen or be tolerated here in the USA. All USA stores are well known and great retailers. I do realize that many people were successful at ordering from many of our China agents\retailers but some things failed and AOD had no control over what they were doing and hope that all issues will be cleared up, and that all customers will be treated well with our new retailers here in the USA. I know most of these retailers personally and know each one is a wonderful person\Store owner. Please trust in us that we have hand picked most of these stores and know of their wonderful ethics and have placed rules with each USA store owner. I was looking at the AoD auctions on eBay today, and this evening, and the pictures of the dolls won't seem to load from where they are hosted. Is anyone else having this trouble?
Yes, i am having that trouble too Nytshaed, none of their auction pics will load for me. I really want to buy another couple of AoD dolls but everything seems to still be all over the place with the company at the moment - new website not working properly, eBay auctions not loading pics, people still waiting after months for their orders to arrive etc etc........can i honestly risk buying yet?
Try purchasing from one of the US retailers that were listed. I know alot of people who have had great customer service from DDE (Denver Doll). And Emory of Junky Spot is fantastic!
I am going to buy some more dolls but will give it a little longer yet to see how things settle. I love the two I have already

That said, I'd love another AOD doll in the future, but it's a purchase that's going to have to wait until most of these problems have been solved and the US dealers stocked on items.

I can only speak from own my personal experiences, but I have had dealings with both Aaron and Alan and would recommend them. Very personable, great communication, and committed to customer satisfaction. I would buy from either one again in a heartbeat. I'm sorry to hear of others who are having difficulties with AoD...I can understand your frustrations and I hope they get resolved. I tried, but they only give you 45 days since you paid to open a dispute so they said they could do nothing. No help from paypal, unfortunately. Alan and I are both working very hard to straighten out the issues with the agents\Retailers in China to straighten out the failed orders. I'm sorry that this happened but as I explained in a few mails these agents are store owners and I can't understand why they have failed to complete the orders for items paid. In the USA we could not do that type of thing so I'm happy thjat many USA stores woill carry AOD so we do not havbe to order overseas! I think that will make the world of difference! Aaron and Allen, I just want to say a big "Thank You" for stepping in there and taking care of the Customer Service portion of all of this. Your dolls are fantastic, I've never wanted so many dolls from one company before! I'm sorry that it had to get complicated, but am glad that you both are working to make things right. Thank you pegapup.We just shipped out two missed orders of one GU and one JingGe.The two dolls belongs to two customers who have emailed us for their unreceived orders from former Singapore agent.We hope they will receive them soon and enjoy playing.Also AOD will take care of all the missed orders after investigation.
Just wondering if the 60cm dolls are still being squeezed into the 40cm boxes? Has the packaging improved lately?
Yay! I got a ship notice today Aaron & Alan, thank you both so much for your help. It's really great that AOD has stepped up to help out their customers.
Nope the dolls are still sent in the same size box. This helps reduce the cost of the dolls since we use the same size box. I've requested that the dolls hands & feet and be wrapped in bubble wrap with a face gard then wrapped or tied in the pillows so it will not move on it's shipment to the customer. If they buy addtional size boxes then the cost has to go up as well. I'm sorry to say that, but in all the dolls I received I've never had an issue with anything getting broken. The dents on the boxes are from the post Office. Aaron

I have to say that I purchased a girl doll body from Alan at ebay and had a wonderful experience. The item was shipped quickly, and is an excellent quality resin with nice jointing. I am very pleased with this doll body and will buy from Alan again. ^________^

hi! I just want to ask if the shoes from AoD could fit to DoT boys. The AoD foot is same leght as the DOT but the width was not mention in there... ^_^
I think it’s important that you all understand that AOD is replacing the missing items from the Singapore agents failure to send out product to its customers. AOD really does not have to do this but is doing it so that we can repair this agents\Retailers bad choice. AOD was just a distributor of our product line to this agent\Retailer so they could sell our product on there site\Store. We felt really bad that this agent\Retailer did not do as a retailer should and want to help resolve the issues they caused by not shipping product to there customers. So please understand that AOD is not responsible for agent\retailers actions. We just want to help resolve this horrible wrong they have done to AOD customers. A friend of mine has a DOT boy, so I can try the boots on him when I receive them. I've only a DOT girl so I can't tell right now. Hope it helps. (And it's the least I can do )
