Where have all our complaints disappeared to? Alan has requested that we post here if we have any problems/enquiries concerning AoD - please, if this is the wrong place for this thread can it be moved to the appropriate area of the forum so we can ask the questions that we want answered?
This thread WAS IN General Discussion earlier today, when I tried posting TWICE. The first time, it was actually removed while I was editing it, to add something. (And of course, nobody ever tells you anything). I've been out for an hour or so, and I see the re-post is also gone, and this thread has been MOVED TO News. Well, someone better have the thread starter remove the: "We are also going to answer all the problems and issues for each purchase of Angel of dream in this thread." from the first post, don't ya think?
Um yes, how else are they suppose to answer our questions if our questions aren't here for them to answer?
Alan, if you requested that our previous posts be deleted can you at least tell us why? You state that you want us to ask questions here so i will post mine again... Do you intend to improve your customer service by actually shipping out the dolls within a reasonable time period and answering customer emails within 48 hours? You have had a terrible track record of very long waiting periods for dolls being shipped out, running into months and months, bad packaging methods and lack of communication between yourself and your customers. The one reliable agent for AOD dolls was Jack and now he has gone - i have had many transactions through Jack for my AOD dolls and he never let me down once, always shipping within a few days and answering all my emails promptly. I want to buy 3 more AoD dolls but until your business practices improve i shall either find another way to buy the dolls or not bother at all. Changing your bloody eBay ID is NOT the answer - good customer service is. We will all know who you are even if you change your eBay ID because as soon as we have to wait for months for our poorly packaged dolls to arrive and all our emails go unanswered we will know it's you! We are not stupid.
Mamehisa, I totlly understand your frustration, but my guess is Alan had nothing to do with deleting the posts. I've seen lots of posts lately go "missing" in this section so I suspect the mods are deleting anything that qualifies as "chat" without explanation to either the person who posted or to the thread. Just poof! gone.....
Hi Mhdolls Yes, i did notice this so i am hoping that a Mod will move this thread to another area where we can respond to Alans invitation to ask him questions and make enquiries about AoD dolls. I don't want to rock the boat but i do want to hear what Alan has to say
Oh REALLY? I seek an explanation to where my Order No# 86 from Jun. 24, 2007 went to. All I ordered was eyes. Nothing else.. Where are they? I couldn't tell you since the last e-mail I received from AoD was Aug. 10th. Got any answers for that? Yes, I -AM- rather peeved, apparently been scammed again. >=/ Take CAUTION, my previous transaction w/ AoD came at a loss of $77: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159717
I double-checked the section it was in after my first post disappeared while I ws editing it earlier today, and this clearly was in General Discussion. Even if there might be plans to have a Manufacturer's Contact section eventually, why in the interim remove posts and move this to News? And my first post was a re-request for alternatives to the fist-and-pointy-finger right hand and pointy-finger left hand of the 1/3 boys!
hobbywhelmed, I've had other kinds of posts disappear lately too without explanation. Not sure why, but I think there may be system glitches or something. Usually the postsof mine that have disappeared are the most benign so I don't think it's anyting I'm writing that is causing them to be wiped out. When that happens, I just try again later and hope for the best. A manufacturers section would be a fantastic idea. As it is now, sometimes those types odf threads are in general, shipping, or even size-specific. One place for all would be great to make them easier to find and also for the reps to find them to answer.
Just to clarify, posts that are not actual News posts will inevitably disappear because they do not belong in News. The moderating team does not PM a member when chat posts are removed. As this thread doesn't seem to actually be for News, I'm going to move it to Buying/ Shipping, which seems the most appropriate. Thank you!
Not a problem. In future, across the board, if you see a thread moved and don't think it got moved appropriately, feel free to PM a mod and let them know. We're all pretty busy, and sometimes something will get moved because we missed a section. Hahah, and he's doing fantastically. If only he wasn't OT so I could glamorize him here.
So now I post again... I am concerned because a shipment of dolls that was to be presented at the Resin Con Doll Show this past weekend NEVER ARRIVED. I have not heard from the dealer that was suppose to ship them to me. Last I heard AoD had shipped the dolls to them, but they never passed them along to me. Please, can you address this issue? Where did the dolls go? Did they never get shipped? There were several disappointed people at the Doll Show. Many came with the intention of purchasing AoD dolls that were not there.
thanks Junkets. I guess when those first non-news posts in threads get posted maybe rather than automatically deleting the posts the entire thread could be evaluated to see if maybe the problem is the op started it in the wrong plce? Yes, I know we can all pm a mod and ask for something to be moved, but I don't feel right doing that with someone else's thread
Grrr- except this WASN'T a news thread when I first posted. It was apparently started in and was sitting in General! Perhaps whoever deleted my post did it because he/she was moving the thread to News, not having read AOD's first post, or not having read it all the way through.
Speaking for myself, if I buy another AoD doll--and I do like the sculpts, it will only be through a US dealer I have used before, or Jack. I found Jack's service flawless and prompt.
Jack has posted in various other AOD threads that he is no longer an agent for AOD and is not allowed to sell the dolls anymore. Seasons Final Colors: AOD has recently authorized several US BJD dealers to carry their dolls in their stores and on their websites. This thread talks about it here: AOD News Thread. I believe they say that they will try to have these dealers supplied in the next few months. I've heard a couple people have ordered from Junkyspot and received their dolls very quickly.
I hope AOD does resolve the problems people currently still have. My good friend, Ravynspear, ordered two 1/3 dolls with the free heads. There had been a problem on the AOD end confirming her payment in the proper time frame for receiving the free heads, but the AOD agent assured her that since the problem was at their end, she would receive the free heads. She asked for custom face ups and photos were sent to clarify what was wanted. She received her dolls approximately 3+ months after her payment... one doll came with NO face up at all, and the other was a stock face up - not the customized one requested. And, No Free Heads. She has written several times to the original agent without success. She has also emailed the other two agents - Jack & Alan. Neither one of them giving her a satisfactory response. I ordered my AOD within the first 30 orders... and received my doll in a timely fashion with my custom face up just fine. I have wanted to order another AOD doll, but will wait to see how customer service improves... or not... In the meantime, I search elsewhere...
I would always recommend the Junky Spot for any doll--unfortunately he doesn't carry everything, but he has a few AoDs right now.
Oh wow, that's horrible about your friend @_@ That is something that should *definitely* be rectified. My order was screwed up as well - I ordered a doll and two pairs of shoes, and one of the pairs of shoes didn't make it. I still haven't heard back from anyone about my complaint. At the very least, I want my money back. I have to agree with you about waiting to see how customer service improves - I dearly love my Wang Zi, and the dolls are very well made for the price that they are and I'd love to have another one (especially the elf, You ), but I will not be ordering another one until I know I can purchase the doll without having a 10+ week wait during which I have no idea if I'll even get my doll at all, and there are other dolls in the meantime from other companies that I would really like to have as well. So I'm going to wait and see and hopefully the newer molds will be sent to some of the authorized US dealers.
I notice my post has been deleted too. I was planning on buying one more MSD and a SD Gu through Jack as a minimum before christmas (there are quite a few dolls I want) and am quite disgusted with the way this has been handled. AOD have got rid of the one agent who nobody seemed to have a problem with which cannot be good for their reputation. I have put my doll wishlist on hold for now.
Hi Mamehisa, I am sorry i never request delete any posts. Also i am new with some of this forum function.I really want to see all the post no matter it is issues or problems.I just want to fix them all. Acutually we have been able to ship our product within one week for the lastest one month. And also i did reply all the emails come to me within 24 hours.I hope you can understand that we are improving ourselves day by day. As far as i know,Singapore agent is lack of communiation to many customers.I want to say sorry to all on behalf of Angel of dream.BTW,i want all of customers to know that in order to let custoemrs more convinent to buy AOD dolls,we have joint up with many stores in USA.They will have our products in stock soon. I want to say it again.I replied all my emails. What i have to do now is solve all the problems that our Singapore agent has left.Though it is not my fault. We are now preparing for two customers who didn't receive their dolls after purchase from www.angel-of-dream.com.
I am sorry for the issue.Could you send the detailed inforamtion to [email protected]?Did you order from our Singapore agent www.angel-of-dream.com?We will solve the problem as quickly as we can.
Okay, if you are willing to answer questions, then I want to know why you got rid of Jack? He was very reliable, always answered questions when asked and shipped everything very promptly. In reality, he was probably the best advertisement your company had and you have hurt yourself by eliminating him. I think I am speaking for a lot of people here.
I was curious about why Jack stopped as well., As far as I knew he had excellent feedback and he was always very quick to asnwer questions. I was planning to buy from him so that's why I am curious.
I am sorry i have nothing to do with eliminating anyone in our company.Decisions were made by our CEO.I am just in charge of international sales. I hope the following questions will be concerning Angel of Dream dolls.
OK, I have a question about an order placed with Angel of Dream. I see in the new page my account has dissapeared, which is normal. But I'd like you to check the history of order 33 if you still have it somewhere. It took a lot of time to arrive and when it arrived there were 4 pairs of boots missing. Vivien wrote to me several times saying she was going to ship them as soon as they re-stocked but a month ago she stopped replying my emails and I've lost boots and money. Seeing you're alive somewhere gives me hope. Is it possible that I get my money (73 dollars) or my boots? Please let me know something.
Did your Singapore agent just keep the dolls that you were suppose to send to me for the USA Doll Show? I really think that you should investigate, considering there was suppose to be an entire shipment of dolls and clothes coming to me that NEVER ARRIVED.
We are contacting with Singapore agent. Please follow this thread as we will post what we can do for you after investigation. It seems impossible to get money back because you ordered from our agent who is lack of communication with us as well.
I seriously think you should investigate this matter. Your agent is absolutely irresponsible. This might be a matter between your agent and my friend which I did not wish to bring up when she first started her whole "Representative" thing, but I feel that since the whole matter is revolved around her, I should share my friend's experience (Because he doesn't have a DOA account and is too nice to complain a single bit. You may call me a busybody but I was so horrified when I found what from him what happened!) and hope you really resolve this issue. Your agent knew my friend, before she started as an official rep. And tried to sell him "Rao", which she apparently got for free in one of your contests when your company first started out. She charged him close to SGD700!! (Roughly USD460??) for a MSD. The set came with clothes, a wig and face-up. Honestly speaking, I thought the dress she gave him was really horrible and couldn't and SHOULD NOT cost more than USD50~70. Her so-called "face-up" from your company, AOD, was apparently her own doing as she removed the original face-up to experiment her skills on it. The face-up was horrible!!! If it were free I wouldn't have been so peeved on his part. But she charged for the horror that is OVER GLOSSY eyes (As if syrup were just dripping from it!!) and BARBIE PINK eyeshadow and lips. On such a fair resin tone, mind. How can all these add up to USD460? He also bought boots (Not from AOD though, OOT sorry but just had to mention) from her which cost like USD70? And took ages to arrive. And from what I heard, she avoided trying to reply him when he asked her for them too. It did arrive in the end though. After he told me that he got friends who knew her closer, to chase her. I admit my friend is such a ditz to have bought it from her, but he was still new to the whole Dollfie circle and anyone who knew him knows he doesn't know market prices well enough yet. Worse thing was, Izumiyavi (a.k.a Vivian Ng) was his FRIEND. And they even cosplayed together. With such an attitude and ridiculous business methods, I cannot help but let those concerned know and not let the matter rest. I do not think it is just mere "miscommunication" we are looking at. This could be an issue of ETHICS. Angelofdream, my friend says she is online at the moment. But probably away. In any case I bet she is avoiding people as what she did to my friend. I think you have every rights to chase her legally especially if you signed a contract with her. Forget my friend's issue, he doesn't care anymore but there are so many people who have been "cheated" by her. This was long. Hope you guys don't mind.
If I can get my boots it will be OK: I've tried almost everything, even complaining to Paypal, but as the order was placed on the end of May there was not much to do from that way. I know this is difficult for you too if you lost contact with Vivien, and I don't have more complains against your company than that one - she was nice and kind while we were in touch so I'm afraid she had real problems. But our order, which was a big one and even included several dolls, was a group order, and I'm responsible of the items lost, which were not for me, so I really need those boots! If it helps, these are the missing boots: - Two pairs of SH22 boots - 1 pair of SH21 boots - 1 pair of SH11 boots I really hope you can help me!!!! Thanks for everything Sonia
I will forward all the information on this thread to our CEO.All the information will be help for us to investigate.Thank you for posting.
Angelofdream> Thank you, I really hope that your company can manage to chase her to get your money back and help the rest with their missing packages. I'm sorry your company has to deal with all these >_< It really sucks when it really isn't your fault. Good luck!
I'm trying to see if my friend Ravynspear is on-line right now so she can tell you the problem that she had which needs to be corrected...
ok, I'm very confused now as to who the former "bad" agents even are. It seems there's someone who's had problems with every one of them. So, who are the current "good" and approved agents at this point? Is it just the new US sellers? Is it either of the direct purchase websites? (www.angel-of-dream.com or www.aoddoll.net ) Is it anyone on ebay? (right now there is skyxxxxxxxxx) there's also another seller on ebay doing horrid faceups and outfits and trying to sell Rao (a $175 doll!) for $400-600!!!!! I surely hope no one is being duped by her
I recieved my dolls, Mo Lan and Gu. Mo Lan had a face up, but not what I asked for and she had tool marks on her neck. Gu had no face up. I also did not recieve the free heads, I did order before the specified date. I did try getting it fixed through Vivien, but she rarely answered my emails and then stopped answering them. I do not know what you can do about this. I was very unhappy with the lack of communication. I felt like she was not even trying to find a solution to the problem.
Alan, I sent you a PM on the forums about this, but I see you haven't replied back to me yet (if it's because you are unfamiliar with the way the forums work, that is okay), so here is an edited version of the PM, taking out private information: I ordered a doll from the www.angel-of-dream.com website back in June and received him at the very end of August. The doll itself is fine, however, I ordered two pairs of shoes along with him. I received only one pair of shoes and have not had any of the emails that I sent replied to about this problem. My Order number was 76, and here is a copy of what I ordered: 1 Wang Zi (Skintype: Normal Faceup: Yes: ) MSD10 $175.00 1 SH05 SH05 $16.00 1 SH06 SH06 $16.00 The missing pair of shoes is the SH05 (pink boots). I would be grateful if you could help me out with this problem, or put me in touch with someone who can, if you cannot. I would like to have the shoes shipped to me, as I bought them for a friend, but if necessary I would appreciate a refund of the $16 the shoes cost, as I did not receive what I paid for. I will send a copy of my PM to the singapore website again, though I am not hopeful about getting a response. I agree with what other people are saying, in that if your Singapore representative is not coming through with her transactions and practicing shoddy customer service, then SHE is the one who should be made to stop selling dolls, NOT an agent who had, from what I understand, a VERY good track record. In my opinion, whoever made the decision to stop allowing Jack to sell AOD dolls was a very serious error, and probably lost your company a lot of money.
I hope this all settles down soon. I have purchased dolls from both Alan and Jack from Ebay and was hoping to buy more through Jack (I liked the fact I could choose from face-ups were in stock and that my Fei arrived around a week later). All this back-biting has really put me off and I will not be putting my order in until I know where I stand as a repeat customer. The issue over these agents really does need to be clarified by someone who has the authority to speak from within your company as it is putting a huge cloud over the situation which will put off potential customers - myself being just one. I was also the recipient of one of Alans "illegal ebayer" notices which was the main reason I did not wish to deal with him again. I found it very petty. People like to choose who to deal with and once they are happy they do not like to be forced to change without a good reason. So I would like to get more dolls - but I would have liked to purchase from an agent I trusted. As this is no longer the case I will keep hold of my money for now
Well, while I confess I bought one of the first dolls through the Singapore site (and apparently was very very lucky to get a good faceup and no problems), I will say that I recommend using Emory at Junkyspot for buying any future AoD dolls (or any dolls that he carries). I've bought over half my dolls from him and he is quick, reliable and has awesome customer service. I know he doesn't have a lot of the AoDs in stock right now, but he is easy to contact about pre-ordering and always a pleasure to work with. Plus he does layaway as well!
I would also like to echo what people here are saying about Jack. I've done business both with him and with Ms. Ng (for my aunt's doll). Jack was super-communicative, and he shipped my doll body super-fast with no hassels. The doll arrived in pristine condition and is wonderful. I had planned on doing a number of other transactions with him in the future; but have been very put off by what has happened recently with him not being allowed to sell AOD on ebay anymore. In that case, I will be holding out until the US agents are carrying the AOD products I'm interested in. Ms. Ng was a whole other story. My aunt ordered her Fei in early June, she didn't arrive until the very end of August. Her faceup is less than stellar--in fact it's sloppy with the gloss smeared around her eyes. Aside from that, she is quality-wise a lovely doll, but the severe lack of communication throughout the process, as my aunt sent many emails all summer with few answered, was just so nerve-wracking. And when finally she was told her doll would ship--it was still another month until she was in hand, making me wonder if the doll had shipped at the time she had originally been notified. All of my other dolls that have shipped via EMS, which she paid for, were in my hands within days of the shipping notice. Suffice to say, we both refuse to do business with the AOD sites or agents that have proved customer service is just not high enough on their priority list. And it's a shame, because AOD has a lot of potential to do very good by their customers. Jack especially was a fantastic seller. It's a big mistake to let him go.
I have sent you a e-mail but I will place the contents here as well: Order Number: 00000086 Order Date: 24 June 2007 Order Items Qty Name SKU Price Total 1 18mm Flame E18_10 $14.00 $14.00 1 16mm Devil's Eye E16_3 $14.00 $14.00 1 18mm Evil Eye E18_5 $14.00 $14.00 1 16mm Orange E16_7 $14.00 $14.00
There are three ways to buy AOD dolls currently. 1.Buy from Aod international site www.aoddoll.net (The site is being updating, please follow the shopping guide to buy currently). 2.Buy from the US Authorized Dealers.Click here to see them. 3.Buy from ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/Aoddoll,please be noted that the ebay ID has been changed from sky18482310521 to Aoddolls. Angel of dream will be responsible for purchase from above three methord. We ganrantee you will get best service. Thank you for your constructive question. Angel of dream team.
We will be responsible for customer who have placed their order with singapoer agent but haven't received their items yet. Please understand we are trying to contact with her as well.We hope our customers all can understand us and give us time to fix all the problems. Please send your detailed order information to [email protected].We will send you a new head for her promotional event after investigating the issue.
Sorry for my late reply. We will send you the boots as soon as we finish investigating.Issues regaring Singapore agent,we believe we will fix it in a reasonable time. P.S.magneticjade,sorry again.
The reason why we start thread on denofangel is we sincerely want to offer better service to our customer. And we hope we can solve all the issue that has happened and aviod problems happening. We believe our service is going to be better and better from now on.
I think clarifying this what the situation was with your Singapore agent and how AOD will rectify it would put many people at ease. As it is, it seems there has significant damage done to your name, unfortunately. Incidentally, for people looking to get one - I believe Emory at Junkyspot ( http://junkyspot.com/obindex.html ) still has several in stock. He has always proven to be reliable in all his dealings, has fabulous shipping prices ( daaaaamn you Emory... O_O) and wonderful communication. If you're looking for AOD, I'd wholeheartedly recommend getting it through him.
Hello TheSaint - I'd like to know who you are working with? I've never heard of you before and I'm the rep for the USA dealers. AOD was not even invited to rescon so I'm not sure who you have been dealing with so I can not help you! Maybe you could provide more information on who you were dealing with! Aaron Egawa USA Sales Rep - Angel of Dream WWW.aoddoll.net or WWW.aoddoll.com
Hello Aaron, Angel of Dream most certainly WAS invited to Resin Con. It was all done through Vivien Ng. I have all the emails and would gladly provide you with all the emails that I received from Vivien. I was told that Angel of Dream was sending me an entire shipment of dolls. I even got a hold of volunteers that were going to help sell the Angel of Dream items. A few weeks before the the doll show I received a message from Vivien saying that Angel of Dream had sent the dolls to her for a 'final inspection' and she would send them to me immediately after she'd made sure everything was all right. That was the last time I heard from her. Am I to understand she was flat out lying to me??
Here are some of the emails...I'd be MORE than willing to take screen captures as well so you can see them, rather than them just being copy and paste. There are TONS. I had been in touch with Vivien about having AoD dolls at Resin Con for MONTHS! She even announced it here on Den of Angels HERSELF! August 10th 2007 - Hello, I'm sorry for the late reply. I've already checked with our General Manager over in China and he has gold me that the dolls are already made and will be shipped to me by next week. I will then go through some final checks to ensure that the dolls are fine before shipping them over to you. Vivien, I have not heard from you or AOD in over a month. It's really starting to worry me as we get closer to the doll show time. People are excited, but it seems you are having a lot of problems getting things finished. Make sure there is plenty of time to send me dolls for the show. I really hate for everyone to miss it!! People are so excited to see AOD dolls and have a chance to buy! I know we will sell out for you for sure. ^_^ Please let me know when things will be finished so that I can be looking for the shipment. Thanks again!! Ok... Now I understand! So Vivien is the Singapore Agent! I do not know of her, since I work directly with Alan and Mr. Sun only. I think one very important thing needs to be said and that is that Vivian was with the Singapore site. This site is what we call in the USA a retailer! So she basically buys product from AOD and then sells it via her website in Singapore. So please understand that the Singapore agent\Retailer is buying product from Alan and AOD. We really have no control on how she does her business. We hope to settle all the issues with her customers who did not get there orders from her or are missing items from there orders. We are very sorry that this has happened and AOD and Alan wish to get these issues resolved. I personally have been working very hard the last 7 weeks since I started with AOD to help get 10+ stores signed up in the USA. This way we have retailers that we all know and trust selling the AOD product without these types of issues. This way everyone knows most of our USA retailers by name and this should help many customers in the USA since the Dolls\items will be available at many stores by Christmas in the USA. I personally never heard anything about the rescon convention so I was not sure what was going on with this thread and what you were talking about. So sorry for not knowing about your arrangement with Vivien! I’m sorry to say I have never spoken to her and did not know of her just of the Singapore site in general. Please understand that this is a new company and we do have some really neat dolls that everyone should be able to enjoy at a nice price! So as soon as we get over this big hurdle I know things will look better. Alan myself and AOD have many plans for the USA in years to come! So please be patient while we fix these issues\bumps. Aaron Egawa USA Sales Rep - Angel of Dream WWW.aoddoll.net or WWW.aoddoll.com
Aaron, unfortunatelly Vivien's web page was the only one for international sales at the moment most of us placed our orders, so many of us really thought she was part of the company. Anyway I may be very naive but I think something can have happened to her as she was answering messages until 6th August when I received the last one. I'm not against AoD and I like the products, but unfortunatelly I'm in a bad situation as the friends who placed the group order with me are waiting for their boots, and have reasons to be bothered. As far as I'm concerned, if Alan can send the boots I'm missing, I'll give my confidence to AoD again. BTW I think the history of my order is still at the old Angel of Dream website, the one run by Vivien (www.angel-of-dream.com) so if Alan needs to check it I can send him my account data and see everything is true. Hoping to get this solved soon Sonia
yrdin_y_luna> Do not worry! Vivian is actually very active on MSN and seems to show signs of happiness when my friend asked his friend's friend (confusing, yes) to check. Ironically enough, I heard she bought 2 WooSoo, finally paid off for her own Lahoo, and bought another Hodoo (sp?) within a short span of time after becoming a AOD Rep. As far as I know, she is not that well to do to be able to spend around $5k+ within a few months :/ I heard she seems to be very occupied and active with her own cosplay plans too. A little update for those who believe that she is encountering some misfortune or is unable to reply due to other unrelated problems. Thought you guys, especially those who have not received items her, should know.
see this is where it gets all so confusing! As that website was the first to come online and was around the same time the dolls appeared on ebay, I think everyone assumed it was the "official" company site and that they were buying direct from the company, not an agent. The info here on DoA at the time was all very confusing and contorted. so is the current ebay seller the "real" AOD? or an agent? and is www.aoddoll.net the official company site or is that an agent as well? and that site, in case anyone cares to fix, does not work properly: in Opera, all the navigation links are completely missing (even in masked mode) in Firefox, the links are there but nothing happens when you click on them in IE, if you click on anything you are requested to download chinese language packs and I'm sure as heck not going to ever download anything in IE so... currently, the site does not appear to do anything at all, so even if I wanted to order direct (assuming that is the official conmpany site), it's impossible. Good thing the US dealers will have them soon.
