My Amadiz Studio Yolande is back from faceup by Jisatsubjd (Chi no Tenshi) so I can finally share pictures of him! Meet my boy Marlowe!

 

My Virginia arrived this morning, no customs fees which was unexpected but a nice surprise, she was delivered while I was at the doctors and taken in by my neighbour who then went out for the day so I have only just got her. I am pleasantly surprised as after the long wait I was not too sure about keeping her but she is prettier than I expected, free ballet feet and a wig with her as well.

Should be able to get some pics this coming weekend as I have work tomorrow and visiting my 92 year old uncle on Thursday.

@avrilpaeony, I am glad your Virginia finally arrived! And that you like her. So all turned out well in the end. Do you have a name for her already?

Quick picture of Virginia, love the body but I am finding it very difficult to warm to the face, maybe it is because she has such a worried expression which could be rectified by a new face-up but then I don't really want to pay out that sort of money at the moment. I am also surprised how tiny her head is, 8-9 wigs swamp her and those are the ones I intended to use, she is wearing a 7-8 Iplehouse wig at the moment which fits well.

I think she is lovely! The face up looks cute, in my opinion.

 

@avrilpaeony your Virginia is very pretty, and having her face redone later on is always a possibility after all. What resin colour is she? I ordered my Virginia in bisque and she has somewhat gingery brows which will suit red and blond wigs, which is fine with me.

That's interesting to know about her wig size, thanks for that snippet of information.

 

She is in the chocolate skintone, I originally ordered the bisque then changed my mind as I had sold another tan doll I owned. I am a bit surprised about the wig size as for some reason I expected her to have quite a large head, her hands and feet are quite big though it doesn't look out of scale.

 

I have received my Virginia today! She is very lovely indeed.

Gosh, she's gorgeous! That wig suits her very well and that dress from the BO is so pretty. I really want a Virginia, but I still need to save some more (and mentally prepare myself for the wait time!).

 

She's such a beauty, congratulations! Is she the old type Virginia?
I'm still waiting for my girls, I wish Amadiz would get back to me about an estimate. I would only like to know which month I should expect my order, but I haven't received a reply in months...

 

Ask now, because they're reaching the end of the doll orders. When did you order yours? I ordered on the last day of the first pre-order for Virginia - the end of May 2017.

Oh, she's the new Virginia. The old one had a narrow nose which gave her a more mature look.

 

I wrote them again last week, I will give them some time to reply and nag them again in July . Also I ordered in November, maybe they haven't reached these orders yet. Argh, I'm so impatient

My doll is shipped (though it has been a few weeks already with EMS, which isn't common? )

Could anyone figure out exactly what shoes size she can wear? I have SD16 Size, and was hoping it would fit...

 

Amadiz released a newsletter about the shipping schedule, seems like they are still working on the first batch *sigh* I might have to wait until October...
I need more pictures, so I can enjoy the dolls through other peoples photos

 

Her feet are well-proportioned for her size - she's Iplehouse SID (SSD) size rather than SD, and her instep is too broad for SD16 shoes. Her high heel feet are very elegant, but arched like SD16 feet so she needs shoes from Amadiz Studio.

Her feet are beautifully blushed - they even have delicate veining, and little wrinkles on the soles!

What size wigs are Yolande owners think fit best? I'm anxious to start shopping for one, but since my girl hasn't arrived yet I wanted to clarify the size first.

 

Virginia has a very small head, a 7/8 fits her but not sure about Yolande.

The wig size is so much smaller than I anticipated! Thanks @avrilpaeony and @Reinameron for letting me know. This is not a size I usually buy so it's definitely time for searching.

 

I have a Yolande on layaway! I'm so freaking excited I've loved their dolls since I first saw them during the first release, and now I finally get to bring one home! I ordered her on the curvy body with the large bust size in Peach Cream. And now....I wait!

 

@lnl_akl - Beautiful feet! Do you think that they would fit SD16 shoes if the instep were sanded a little? I really wish I could find a doll that fits SD16 shoes (there are so many pretty options), and perhaps Amadiz would be willing to sell an extra pair of feet for the purpose of sanding them.

Also, does anyone know which skin color would match best with Dollshe Fresh? I'm guessing Milky, the lightest one, since the Bisque color looks pretty "standard normal skin" to me.

Her feet certainly are beautiful! Well, the new Soom female heel feet do fit SD16 shoes... I don't know about sanding the Amadiz feet... they are very nicely proportioned for her legs, so longer and broader than SD16 feet which are really quite tiny.

I hope George & Kate do some more heeled shoes at some point.

I did manage to take some nice photos this weekend, of Virginia in a Rouaken corset (never worn by a doll before!);

 

@lnl_akl , woah, she is a beauty! That's one wonderful shot! Which size is the corset?

 

Virginia was very co-operative today

I think that the corset is SD size... it doesn't quite close at bust level. I think Raouken is concentrating on minifee and Lillecat dolls at the moment, so I was lucky to get a couple of SD corsets a while ago.

I can tell her feet are beautifully proportioned for her body. I must have misunderstood your original shoe post, which I thought sounded like they almost fit SD16 shoes. Thank you for correcting me!

 

I thought they might fit SD16 shoes too... but I admit feet that size would look disproportionately tiny (like Victorian gentlemen's feet!) so I'm not really disappointed that they don't.

 

I really wish I found them before I bought my first doll last week.
Sadly, it’s probably for the best. I wouldn’t have had money left for custom wig (Amadiz, happily) or higher quality eyes or pretty clothes, since their doll is my whole budget.
But she does make my heart ache.
Excited for the wig though!

 

maybe message Amadiz directly about your wig and confirm the size of the wig for the doll you ordered. I waited over 7 months (close to 8 months, really) for the 2 wigs I ordered last November and when they finally arrived they were both way too small for the dolls I ordered them for (among other issues)

@Rook_Sever Very beautiful picture! The colors are so cool. I love all the pictures here - the Amadiz dolls are so special in their own way, and so very differently styled by their owners. It´s always a joy to look at all the different boys and girls.

 

@Ashemanu thank you! I am so glad I reminded these photos! Yep, all the dolls here are different and so nice!

 

Regarding shoes for Amadiz dolls. I wrote to Jay at sartoriaj to see if they would be able to make shoes for the high heel feet. They have made a couple things for these dolls plus they make SID size clothing.

He indicated they would if they had enough interest. If you guys are interested in shoes for your Amadiz, please write them. They are on Etsy.

 

My girl is wearing SD 17 boots on her flat feet. Some high heel shoes - or boots - would be real nice. I am just not quiet trusting Sartoria with those, not after I bought rather expensive high heel shoes in their store which were supposed to fit my Dollshe Fashion girl. Which they don´t. Or at least only real bad. And I don´t want to pay again 40$ or more for shoes which do not stay on my girls feet.

 

Well, I can’t blame you at all for that. I wouldn’t want to take the chance again either if that happened to me. I am just a bit desperate to get shoes for her heeled feet. It doesn’t seem that Amadiz is going to keep them in stock

 

Maybe Sartoria could make some shoes that have straps or something, to keep the shoes attached to the feet with more than only gravity ...
