It does look a lot pinkier in your photos than it does in the Amadiz ones so I am curious to see it in really life.

Can not say how much I wish getting this body.
There were shown another ordered body yesterday and more and more I have a look at it my hands want to click the buy button ^_^°

 

Just seen a reference to the truffle tan on their facebook page, it is a special dark tan made for 'a lady in Texas' which I assume is Dreadfulme. I also had a closer look at the video from a couple of months ago showing boxes of body parts and spotted my name on one so that is a bit more exciting, hopefully not too long now.

May I ask how long the wait times tend to run? I love Virginia's sculpt, but I'm a little scared of a long wait time.

I paid my Yolande on Aug 26, and saw him casted in the middle of February. The last email I got from the company about shipping schedule was in November 2017 with "Sending schedule for Yolande: November 2017 - February 2018" Now is April and still no information...

 

I just got my Yolande at the end of last week - a little over 8 months from ordering him. First impressions are good, though, and I'd say he's worth the wait

Gosh, I thought wait times maxed out at six months.

Oh, jeez those are some long wait times. I wonder why it takes so long. Is the resin of unusual quality or just average, I wonder. Hmmm. I'll have to think about it! I love Virginia so much, but ahhh that wait time combined with the higher price tag makes me question the cost/benefit. I do kinda want one, though.

 

I paid for my Yolande in July and saw my name in the video that was posted. I emailed them a couple weeks ago and they told me I would get him this month. But I have been emailing Amadiz every couple of months since the intial 90 days and his shipping schedule keeps being pushed back. I'm at the point now that I feel I will never see him. I am debating if I should file a paypal claim to recover some of the money that I lost.

Every email that I sent was addressed to George and the answer is always the same. I'll get him in whatever month. Its frustrating because I know my doll has been made and I didn't order any extras. Maybe if the wait time was more upfront at the beginning I wouldn't be so frustrated.

 

thank you! I'm very excited about him ^^ The sculpting on his extra hands and feet is so nicely detailed, and he's a lot of fun to pose!

The resin quality feels really nice too, sort of unique in a way I don't quite know how to describe ^^; but he's very heavy and solid and not at all shiny in that way people tend to associate with "cheap"
(the wait was still a major pain and I was getting a little nervous about it; I've never waited anywhere near that long for a doll >< It does sound like they took on more work than they could comfortably handle, unfortunately, but I suppose extra waiting is better than rushed dolls)

 

There's only the two of them and I think they have been overwhelmed by the number of orders, plus having more than one doll on offer at a time and changing faces and bodies half way through it has all combined to make a much longer delay than they anticipated.

 

Plus they have their wig sale, which seems to be going very well. I am waiting for 3 or 4 wigs atm, the oldest must be nearing 6 months wait now. So its the dolls, the clothes, the ongoing wig sale, and all that with two persons who also have a child to care for. No wonder it all takes so long.

Nevertheless, I really would love to order another wig, but I don´t feel like waiting 6 months for it. On the other side, their quality is awesome. Hard decisions ...

And even if it takes so long, I am sure everybody will get their dolls in end.

 

In that case, the wait is understandable! I wish they'd get some help to relieve the workload. I'll have to think on it.

 

I got my Yolande boy as well XD. He poses beautifully and I love him. The company however forgot to include the ballet feet I ordered in the package so I'm waiting on them to send that to me as well as a free wig as apology for the mistake. They have amazing customer service. I'm definitely glad I bought him.

 

After I read all your posts about long waiting time for your dolls I must agree. Yes, it's a really long time you are waiting for them but as you said... They are doing all these in a very small team. Wigs, clothes, accessoires and dolls next to their small family and the issue they have with the Russian BJD community too. I think it's much more than we could imagine.
So I must say I would be much more happier waiting so long for a doll which is made in quality and with a nearly perfect resin than having such a desaster some buyers of Fairyland had last event with the Eva they ordered. Some had broken parts, thin resin or legs that where not like they should have been if they were made well.

 

Got all excited just now as I had an email from Amadiz and thought it was my shipping but they are opening up another pre-order for 10 dolls. I am not sure this is a good idea, just more added pressure, I would prefer if they concentrated on getting out the ones they have outstanding then had a bit of a breather before they started again.

 

avrilpaeony I suppose only 10 dolls is not a lot to add onto their list, they say the waiting is 4-6 months but having waited a year for my Virginia I'm not too sure whether it's possible. As much as I'd love to order a yolande boy I agree with you, they could do with a breather before going further. sigh......

 

I got the same email, plus another email saying that my doll had to be remade. Maybe I'll see my doll next year.

 

Does anyone have photo comparisons of the female curvy and elegance bodies?

 

I am very grateful for the opportunity to order a Yolande boy (YAY!), and I fully understand the situation regarding waiting times.

Virginia was my first experience of Amadiz dolls.

I am what you might call a "resin snob" LOL, I cannot abide resin which feels like plastic, resin which is thin and brittle, resin which is so lightweight that I'm afraid to touch the doll for fear of breaking a finger - therefore I am a little overcautious when it comes to ordering a resin doll from a new company.
I decided to take a chance with Amadiz because the dolls look so beautiful, so elegant and graceful.

And when Virginia arrived I was VERY impressed and so glad I had ordered!
Such a beautiful doll, sturdy well-cast resin so smooth with not a seam in sight, superb posing ability - well worth the wait even though the wait was killing!!!

I have Yolande girl on order, and now a Yolande boy because she will need a brother.
Very happy.

Grats @pianissimo ! You will have a complete Amadiz-family soon I was fighting very hard to order a doll or not, but in the end went for two wigs ...That makes 5 wigs I am waiting for now - Guess when you are a resin snob you could call me a wig snob ^^

Hey guys, for those of you who already have an Amadiz girl, just how heavy are they?

 

Solid. Nice and sturdy, similar to holding an Iplehouse YID girl. Comfortable weight, easy to dress, and lovely to hold in the hand because they are slender yet curvy. A very well thought out design.

 

potentially stupid question - is there a side by side comparison of the 2 female body types anywhere? Just having the measurements isn't really all that helpful when the measurements for both bodies are exactly the same

My girl wears Iple SID tops and pants. The tops fit very well, the pants can be a bit wide. nYID size would possibly work too. Isn´t that compatible with SD13?

 

So after 8 month of waiting I asked when my order to be shipped, but the company couldn’t settle the exact term and offered the refund. Since I’m done with waiting, I accepted the refund and got it today. Hope all you guys waiting for dolls will get them soon!
Nevertheless I still like the dolls and especially 1.5 of mine: I have Magdalena Old and Yolande head (got it from locasl secondary marketplace).

@echotexture I can confirm now that there is no way that these girls fit into SD13 bottoms. Maybe if they have a very elastic waistband. Otherwise, no chance.

The curvy one. But Georgy said there isn´t any difference in measurements between the bodies.

As I said a few posts before, SID pants are fitting well, even if they can be a bit loose. Maybe nYID pants. Can´t say, since I don´t own them.

Ah missed that. Another question. How are wigs on her. I'm trying to get a Crobidoll wig for her, but they only have 8 or 9-10. would you say her head runs small?

Amadiz posted a few days ago that the last dolls were almost ready, i am waiting for Virginia new in peach skin tone, and the excitement is real. Did anyone else order her in this skin tone?

 

@Dollyaya My Yolande is peach cream. It is a lovely color. When I first opened her box I was surprised how dark the skin tone is, I was expecting something more like normal skin. It is more like the Iple House peach skin color. But now I really love the color, it fits her character real well

thank you so much! it's was so much struggle to wait! one year... omg. I thought a lot about to cancel my order. but Virginia became my grail doll while I waited. I'm so happy that she didn't disappoint me.

it is so much pleasure to see others dolls too! I hope that everyone who waiting now get their dolls soon.

 

Well she finally shipped yesterday though it is 10 days since I got an email with photos to say she was ready so I had thought she was already on her way, anyway we will see how long it takes to ship from Russia, from past experience it can be quite a while.

 

Is your doll from the first preorder?

 

She was ordered on layaway in May of last year so I think it was the first one.

 

My Virginia is ready as well. I ordered her in bisque. I'm so looking forward to getting her!
