How did you create this image? What was your concept?
The concept was my girl getting hungry in the middle of the night and deciding to make pancakes. I used an oil painting for the window. The food is real - flour, quail egg, vanilla, margarine, syrup - except the sugar, which is glitter.

How did you create this image? What was your concept?
When thinking about the theme "Almost Human," I got to thinking that one of the most human things about us is that we imagine being others. What night best embodies this trend towards fantasy than an american prom night, when every girl gets to put on a fancy dress and crown and be a princess for her prince, a date in a shining... well, tux! My favourite parts of this image are the bow tie for the boy, and his date's corsage both crafted especially for this photo! Please enjoy my hard work!

How did you create this image? What was your concept?
I wanted to portray a runaway child, and how adventurous but scary it can or will be for that child. One is in a kimono like dress because I wanted clothing was was long and looked flowy. I the lighting was a bit hard to figure out so I took it outside before the sun came out and it was perfect!

How did you create this image? What was your concept?
It is July in a hot, sticky climate for Emma. She doesn't always get to cool off in front of the fan with her partners, as in other shots I was taking. While shooting her as a model for clothes, she gave me this image of a hot, tired woman glad to be in her coolest clothes after a long day of doing her best.

It's July in a hot, sticky climate. I was shooting Emma in other clothes for quite awhile. She was doing a great job as a model. When we were down to a nice, cool undershirt, I was getting pictures where she looked very relieved!

Great job, everyone! Too bad there could only be three winners, there were so many excellent entries.

But ... why are there so many missing pictures?

I counted 17 with "unavailable" or broken links. I'm concerned that the host privacy settings used may be causing this, which could be a problem for some of the entrants in the remaining contests. There seems to be no problem in the voting thread, though, so I'm mystified.
