ALL Iplehouse EID woman discussion thread

Dec 23, 2009

    1. I've ordered Ashanti without a faceup, and I'm just waiting, but she hasn't shown as shipping yet.

      - Mel

    2. Yea, I ordered with a face-up on 3/16 and it's still before shipping. I am excited to see pics and actually see an EID woman in person.

    3. RROSS- When your girl arrives I would love to see pictures of her, I sooo wanted to order this doll, but could not.

    4. No face up for me.. Can't remember the exact day I ordered (and am too lazy to go check) but I got her payed off fairly quickly into the ordering period. Still on 'Before Shipping' as of this morning.

    5. I cant wait to get started on a project I have in mind and take pics. I hope to see her maybe by next Friday....

    6. Just a head shot of Nokomis. The red jacket makes it very hard for posing options.
The only other outfit I have at this point is a heavy sweater one- she needs more clothes. Believe me, she's already informed me she's expecting some soon.

    7. Oh your Asa is so pretty!!

    8. Yay! An Asa is home!
      Congratulations. ^_^

    9. Hi everyone
Haven’t stopped by this thread in a while. I’ve been meaning to post a picture of my Jess. She is about three months old and I have been wanting to give her a photo shoot. I’m currently working on a dress for her. Perhaps when I’m done I’ll get some photos up. I really like sowing for her body shape. I like all my girls, but sowing for her is so nice. I adore her curvy sculpt. She looks so good, and I really find her body shape refreshing.

Kadepie, Asa is gorgeous! Lovely photo.

    10. So I was wondering if anyone had any good restringing advice. I restrung and sanded my Yur today, and am having trouble with her legs twisting outward. I thought it might have been from it being too tight, so I took the knot out and tied her a little looser. Now it seems like less of a problem, but it is still happening. What would you guys think: too tight? too loose?

    11. Neither. Is the elastic itself twisted?

    12. Oh, I have that problem too, I restrung her with a thicker elastic... so it might be a case of tight+ thick elastic....

I'm not too sure, I think it's cute though, since her knees roll in and she seems modest.

    13. I've been lusting over Asa for a couple of days now and I have to wonder. Her height is recorded as 65 cm which is the same height as the S. I. D. models. Does anyone know if this means that Asa can fit into S. I. D. clothing?

    14. The SID girls are 62 cm according to Iplehouse mesurement. It's the SID boys that are 65 cm, I guess. Just as the EID boys are 70 cm while the girls are just 65 cm.

    15. If you look in Iplehouse's gallery, there is a posting with SID girls wearing EID woman clothing, and EID women wearing SID clothing. The answer is yes...if it is stretchy.

    16. Biggy: Well that's just silly. I guess I'm used to male and female models who are the same height with like one cm of a difference.

Lady Ravenswood: Awesome. I'll have to look through the gallery and see what I can scrounge around that might fit her. =)

    17. Hello everyone, maybe it is interesting .
My Jessica is one year old (arrived 1 Oktober 2009) and she is real skintone UV-protect resin,
with the time "real resin" could be green / yellow , but I can not see.
My Jessica doll is very often used and her place in my hobby room (daylight, but no direct sun)
Here Comparison photos with various light: left (hand used one year) and right (hand brand new and unused).

    18. Thanks for the comparison shots. I can hardly tell the difference. At most one seems darker than the other. It gives me hope for mine. I got my Jessica this year in real skin. She is hardly half a year old. I keep her on a shelf, but not in direct sunlight. It is also dark in my room most of the time. I’m hoping that she will age ok. I think I would miss her too much if I put her away. Have a doll in white French resin and I hardly see her. It makes me a little sad, but I take her out every so often.
I was just thinking to myself how happy I am with my Jessica. I cannot get over how gorgeous her body sculpt is. I think it is very refreshing to see. I have a soom gem, and I like her tons, and it’s not that I don’t like her body sculpt, but I think the prepositions are typical, and by “typical” I mean tinny waist and giant bust line. For the most part I feel like EID woman’s waist is in good proposition with her bust line. To me it seems so even with the large bust. I ordered mine in medium, so I can only judge the large size from pictures. I really enjoy sewing for her. Hopefully I will get a picture up once I am done sewing an outfit. She is my first EID woman so I feel like I still have new owner’s excitement.

    19. Interesting photos Anita. Thank you for the comparison. I really don't notice any difference at all other than the one may be a bit darker. Definately no green cast. Wasn't that just a problem with the first dolls before they had UV? I'm sure that any doll would change color if left exposed to light for long periods of time. The hands of your doll look beautiful after a year.

    20. Speaking of the hands... I was wondering if there are any poseable hand/finger sets other manufacturers make that will work, or can be adapted to work, on an EID woman. I would just like the option of posing the fingers for photoshoots. Thanks...

Nanyalin has some for her Jessica.
They look like DikaDoll Hands - Best PM her to make sure :)

    22. Hi all you EID woman owners. I have ordered an EID Asa (NS, Type B make-up, medium bust, mobility thighs) and am now looking at how I will need to adjust my doll shelves to make room for her. Can anyone tell me how tall an EID beauty is when she is sitting down? So, a measurement from her seated butt to the top of her head with an allowance for a wig. I am guess-timating around 35cm? - or am I miles off? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

    23. 35cm is about right, depending on the wig. I just measured my Jessica and she's 34cm seated without a wig on.

    24. Awesome. Thanks abbie! :)

    25. I have a question for the EID and SID owners: Will a female EID head fit on a female SID body?

    26. Finally got my Iple girls painted. Love these dolls.

    27. I love your Carina, cristylee!

Yes, you can order them this way through the custom doll system, and I have seen several of them in the Gallery and box opening threads. The look good. ^_^

...I haven't seen any of the SID heads on EID bodies though...has anyone tried this? ::curious::

    28. To add to Lady Ravenswood's reply, Iplehouse also shows in their gallery and in their Limited Edition section EIDs on the SID body.

    29. Ah yes, that is true! There is a photo on page 2 of their "Iple Gallery" as well of a Yur on the SID body next to a Luna on the EID body.

    30. Y'know, after I asked this I noticed the pictures on Iplehouse. lol

What exactly is the custom doll system? I never noticed that on Iplehouse. ^^,,

    31. The custom doll system allows you to order a doll with your choice of head, body, body options, and resin color.
So for example, you can get an EID Kamau in RS with the muscular arms that were released with the NC Luo, even though Kamau was is no longer available as a special edition or in a basic form, and the arms were part of a NC release. Or you can get a Yur head on an SID woman body, etc. The custom doll system is only available at the beginning of each month. ^_^

    32. Oh, I see. Thanks. I plan on ordering my Jessica at the beginning of the year when I get paid. :)

    33. If I got Jessica a Monique wig, do I need a 7/8 or 8/9 wig?

    34. I always get an 8/9 but I put a silicone wig cap underneath so it holds on really well, I find 7/8 too small but different makes may vary.

    35. Okay, so I'll still get a 8/9 wig just in case. :)

    36. I always use 8/9 sized wigs as well. ^_^

Here is Nightingale in an 8/9 Monique wig:

    37. Very late to the party here and interrupting the flow, but I had to pop in to say that your faceups and styloing have just blown my mind, cristylee. Absolutely stunning. So subtle and realistic.

      OK. As you were...

    38. Oh, I definitely agree.

My Jessica's at "before shipping" :)

    39. I have a question about Iplehouse, on pages for eyes it says 'eye' singular. I'm confused, so when you order do you get one eyes or two?

    40. cristylee I just saw your Eva on the xtreme website, if I didn't see she was an Eva there I would have continued to think she was the Jessica mould. I can't believe it, it's amazing what a great face up can do for a mould.

    41. I've never heard of anyone selling one eye at a time. Don't worry, I'm sure they mean a pair! Some Asian languages don't distinguish between singular and plural, so they probably just got their English mixed up.

    42. You definitely get two eyes when you order them from Iplehouse. ^_^

The only eyes I've ever seen sold individually are the steampunk gear eyes, or if they list specifically that there is only one eye so that you can mix and match them, but Iplehouse doesn't have that option.

    43. Thanks, that's a relief

BTW, Lady Ravenwood, those dolls in your sig look awesome, the fourth one, what sculpt is that?

Sigh, my Ashanti is still 'before shipping'

    44. Me too, the only single eyes I've ever seen are custom types.

    45. Thanks, Demonique. And glad I could help. ^_^
The fourth doll is a Tedros, but in the Chimera parts that were offered with his initial NC release.

    46. He is so cool! :D

    47. ... Hey, gals... Here's a silly question: Does "on shipping" mean that a dolly is done?

If that's the case, then my girl should be on her way. O_O

    48. yes it does...you might QnA about a tracking number

    49. Well, I checked my order summary for the number. But, I'm just surprised she took this quick since she didn't come with make-up.

(I'm not even a ninja on my new sewing machine since I thought she'd take a month or two to get here. D: )

    50. I LOVE "on shipping" :D It's the post office and customs I'm not so fond of :D Congrats Mayonaka :D

    51. Thanks, Glodrakes! She's currently in customs at Chicago. So I'd expect her to be here some time this week. :)

    52. You're very welcome Mayonaka :D

And let me introduce Kaitlyn :D
      [IMG]

    53. She is so pretty! I'll probably be getting one on a SID body sooner or later. XD

      (Out of customs! Yay! :D)

    54. Thanks :D I almost died when I saw her in NS, so someone had to be bumped from the list at that time :D
And YAY for out of customs :D

    55. hehe I can see why. :aheartbea

    56. Your girl Kaitlyn is gorgeousl Giodrakes - congrats!

I have a question in regards to EID Iplehouse girls. Do they normally come with "heeled" feet not flat feet? Do they stand well with heeled feet in heeled shoes? Or do most BJD stand on their own only when they have flat feet?

Curious - trying to understand how I see some member's pics on here and their bjd's look like they are standing on there own.

      Thanks for any info.

    57. LOL Thanks Mayonaka :D

RacerGT, thank you :D She came with the flat feet on her, and a pair of heel feet which I put on her so she could wear the shoes I ordered with her :D Kaitland stands like a rock either on flat feet or in heels. I love it :D I wish all my dolls were as solid standing.

I think most BJD's stand on their own in flat feet. They don't do so well in heel feet WITHOUT the heels, but they should stand in heel feet with heels, if the ankle is not too constricted. I know I've heard of problems with some boots that are too tight, which don't let the ankle bend or something, but I haven't had that problem so far.

    58. I have no issue getting SHE to stand in her heels. I am endlessly patient however when it comes to balancing for photo.

I have also no issue with my EID girls (flat and heeled) ,
it is very important for me that my dolls standing own.

    60. Squee~ She's in town! Hope I'll be home in time tomorrow for her to get here. :D
