Nice to have a new thread! I can't have enough of other people's EID women. (By the way, Pam, I think my last pre-vacational PM about my Jessica's comission outfit got lost somewhere XD. Should I re-send?)

I've recieved my Luna some days ago; even if she was supposed to be a boy, I am still surprised of how... boyish she looks when unpainted! I will post pics of him soon, when I can give him a decent face up (I have no luck with natural looks, it seems). Gosh, Luna's head is -small-! Wich wig size do other owners put her in? I think she may fit in 7'5, she is that small...

 

My Iplehouse Jessica should have arrived before Christmas but she got delayed in Customs...argh!

Good news now though, she's scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday...can't wait!

I've heard that 7"-8" wig size is good on the EID ladies but needs to have a stretchy wig-cap.

 

I would say that my luna has smaller head than my jessica... believe me, it is really tiny! And, as I suspected, luna looks her best on 14mm eyes, instead of the 16mm she is given as default. Much more focused look, and way more adult.

 

I was going to order a Jessica but seen their announcement about not doing custom face up or blushing...Can anyone tell me if this is just temperary and when they may start doing it again? Im getting itchy for Jessica!

 

I think it's only temporary so they can get through the Christmas rush quicker and they don't suffer from a huge backlog of orders. You could post up on the Q&A and ask about it, but yeah, I personally think it's only temporary but I'm not sure when they're going to start accepting custom face ups/blushing again.

Can anyone tell me if its worth getting the mobility joints or not for Jessica? My girlfriend has them on her Tatiana and it seems to make her sit up better.

 

I definetely use 7/8 wigs for my Jessica, the 8/9's fall off. I don't have Luna, but I thought my friend that has her uses 7/8 wigs on Luna as well.

 

checking the order status on my WS Luna daily. Can't wait til she ships. I ordered her with the large bust. I know folks will think I'm weird for saying this, but I think the large ones have a much more natural shape to them (more teardrop/pear shaped than orange balls on her ribcage).

 

I agree ^ I do like the shape of the larger bust and think it looks more natural and looks great alongside her hip width. The medium bust is great too, and makes her look more athletic somehow?
Im sort of thinking of getting the mobility joint now...

 

I used to have a Cocori and Tatiana, both with mobility joints. I never had a problem with them. I never really noticed any great improvement in posing either though. I ordered my girl without because her legs (well her whole body) are gorgeous and I didn't like the way the line of the mobility joint broke up the mile high curvy view.

 

Thats what I was thinking, that it might spoil the look. Can anyone point me to some good pictures of posing with and without the joints?

It's been a while since I've looked at the Noctarcana Circus stuff, and with their server down I can't go look. What other EID women are we expecting right now, if any?

I'm pretty sure someone asked Iplehouse whether there was going to be an ebony/black EiD girl to go with the EiD sword guy (sorry, can't for the life of me remember his name right now!)... and Iplehouse said they were, indeed, going to release an EiD girl like that.

I wish Iplehouse would set up the new website for their Noctarcana Circus dolls, I love reading all the dolly profiles over there and speculating who the other 'shadowed' figures are going to be on the main NC webpage.

 

I was wondering myself about a dark skinned EID woman, it just has to be done!

Ip did tell mem that they will be releasing Kamau and Luo counterparts this year, but did not say how dark Ms Kamau's skin would be. Personally, I am gagging for a Ms Luo. Come on Ip!

 

Ok, I said I'd only have one EID, but now I want Luna so she can be a friend to Jessica. These girls are so addicting!

Quick question- to those of you who have them, do you take all their clothes off and put them back in the box every time you're done playing with/looking at them? I'd like to keep my Jessica on a shelf in a dark room, but I'm not sure if that's good enough coverage to keep out all the sun. Am I being too paranoid?

 

hi just saw a post in the news section saying that from this weekend iple is selling the eid girls in realskin!!!! Yay, can't wait to see pics of them!

 

I'm the same way...a little on the paranoid side. But, I tend to keep the curtains in my bedroom closed so there isn't much light coming in...plus I um, insisted on putting UV protective film on the windows. Ok, so I am very paranoid I guess! At least I can leave Jessica out and enjoy looking at her and still have piece of mind. I never put her back in the box except for traveling to meetups.

 

I took some comparison photos of Iplehouse's cream white with Soom's cream white and NS. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post them, but I'm sure there's probably people out there that may be interested in hybrid-ising their Yur chimera parts with other companies' body parts....



Okay; buckler is Soom NS, croissant-horn is Soom CW and the tail is Iplehouse CW. You can't really tell from that photo (that was taken in natural lighting), but IP CW and Soom CW is different.




It's hard to capture on camera (at least for my crappy digital camera), but you can definitely see the difference with the naked eye. IP CW has a slightly more pink/peach tint to it while Soom's CW is creamy-white. It should be noted that the croissant-horn has seen the light of day quite a bit so it's definitely not pristine brand new Soom CW. But even if it was, there's still an obvious difference between the two cream whites.

I guess it isn't too bad if you don't mind blushing the Soom CW parts to match the IP CW parts.

 

It might also be possible to reduce the pink tones of the Iplehouse white by exposing them to sunlight, especially if they use the same red pigment in their "cream white" skin as they do in their "real skin" and "brown skin" resins. It's very unstable, and breaks down quickly.

 

Unfortunately Scotland doesn't get much sunlight, but I will be leaving my doll out in my room, so hopefully she'll 'mellow/yellow' a little from the lighting that way and I'll be able to see if she has gone paler or not

 

I agree with you.... I have many dolls, but Jessica is now my favorite, and last time I just play many with. In my doll room the curtains are also closed,
but I use many professionel photo light and later I can say, whether her color changes (because other pair hands is in box and unplayed)

 

I think Luna looks really nice in the realskin, actually-- she's generally my least favorite of the three, but that color looks good on her. I'm still planning on a basic NS Yur at some point, but it's always interesting to see Iple's dolls in realskin.

 

Why am I such a sucker for Realskin? Seriously, they all look amazing. We already knew Jessica rocked the Realskin but Yur and Luna both got a whole lot cuter/hotter to me. Luna in particular is probably wearing the most flattering wig I've seen her in on the Iplehouse site. Can't wait to see owner pics of these girls.

 

The RS girls look like completely different dolls to me (and I mean that in the good way!). Luna looks less 'cute' and more sultry in RS. Jessica always looks sultry no matter what color her resin is XD

I won't be getting one of them since I just got my Yur, but I'm curious if this the same RS that had/has a habit of turning green if exposed to light/sunlight too often? If it is, it's a shame... because that RS is a really gorgeous color and I'm hoping to get one of the EiD boys in that color some time in the distance future.

 

Im absolutely smitten by Yur in realskin. I was planning for a Jessica but now I think Im going to jump for a Yur in realskin. Could anyone direct us realskin noobs to any threads about it? They seem to be saying its a more stable kind?

This RS is the UV-protected kind, which fades much more slowly than the original RS resin did. You should still try to be careful with it, but you should be able to take it out for short periods of time without any severe greening. (Although I'm one of those few people who would actually like a greened EID boy, or at least to see one, because it's a really pretty shade of green that would be perfect for one of my characters.)

Getting back to the girls though, Yur in RS is indeed nice but I still want to see the normal version of her with the different makeup options already. Also, the fact that all the EID have two different makeup options is awesome. Especially on Luna, with the sweet-looking A-type and the sultry B-type.

 

Luna is realskin is seriously pretty! Its such a shame realskin is limited.

 

It still seems Iplehouse are still not doing custom face ups or blushing? I would have loved the blushing on Yur.

 

I like that they gave Yur more sultry eyes, but the whole faceup together still makes her look really childlike. I think she'd look rockin' if they had given her some darker lips.

 

I agree-- darker lips would really make that faceup.

 

I actually love her pink lips ... but then, I looooove pink ^_^

 

OH MAN.

When the EID ladies first came out, I told myself I'd wait to see what other face sculpts they'd come out with. And if I ever decided to get an Iplehouse girl that big, she'd have to be in Real Skin. I'm a RS addict -- I own 4 Iplehouse dolls, 3 of which are Real Skin.

Iplehouse really knows how to keep a grasp on my wallet, apparently.

With the release of the EID ladies in Real Skin, I thought I'd like Luna the most; since I loved her face when she came out, but I didn't love the Rose Gray resin or the kitty parts. And most of the Iple dolls look even more gorgeous in Real Skin... But it turns out that I like Yur the most. She looks like a big Tatiana! Who I love, she was the first BJD I ordered.

Although, it seems like her head is sort of small compared to her body. Is it really, though? Or is it a result of the floofy wig and semi-bulky sweater she's wearing? Regardless, I think I might be ordering my first EID woman during this ordering period. If I do, I'll definitely have to rearrange my room so I can have more display space to fit her in. And I'm sure it will be an adventure in sewing clothing... I've already had mini adventures sewing for my JID girls.

 

Jessica still looks best in RS after all. Though I now feel a little silly for rushing at the original Pierrot version, I'm glad they are re-offering her in this resin color.

Yur does look much closer to Luna than Jessica as presented though. Funny since I thought the opposite with the Noctarcana limiteds. What a difference a face makes!

 

I think her face/jawline is narrower than Jessica's and Luna's, which might give the illusion that her head is smaller.

What does Iplehouse put in their Realskin resin? Pixie dust? Magic powder? Rainbows and butterfly hugs? Realskin makes ALL of the Iplehouse dolls 1000% more desirable.

I ordered the Pierrot Jessica the first day I could, and she's the Most Beautiful Thing Ever. Luna's always been cute, but they put her in Realskin... and wow. I'm a sucker for the style of wig that Luna has, too, so that doesn't help.

Definitely in the infected category. I caved and ordered Luna in RS. I've got one in WS that should arrive tomorrow or monday. I'll likely be selling her head now.

Regarding the green thing, I thought they took care of that?

 

I think all 3 realskin EID women are wonderful. Iple did a fabulous job with their faceups. Jessica has never done much for me but I do really like this version.

But I love Yur and that makes me happy because I'm now absolutely sure I'll really love the Yur Astrologer I've got on order. If I had the funds I'd be ordering the realskin Yur as a dark sister to my Astrologer.

 

Does anyone happen to have a picture of their EID woman next to an SSDF man? I love the EID body but I'm worried it would look too big next to my emo-thin SSDF...

 

OMG. Yur I really didn't like in the Noctarcana version, but she is gorgeous in the RS version. I was thinking of Luna next, but she's nothing next to Yur. Iplehouse wants my moneys!

 

I totally agree, I think Yur is stunning in realskin. Too bad I have no money for her though!

 

Even though I love Luna (I have a Noctarcana one at home) I'm not fond of her in RS. For me I love her in the rose grey resin the best, although I don't mind NS or WS on her either.

I think the girls do look great in the RS and can't wait to see what else they do with them.

Also, I just wanted to say that the EID woman's body is amazing. The hips, the shape, all very nicely done. I'm still trying to figure out the range of motion it can do (I'm thinking of doing a "Can my dolls do the advertised poses?" photoshoot soon). Also, I'm in love with the high heeled feet. They look amazing and I love the amount of detail that's been put into them.

 

Just thought I'd let everyone know two new girls are set to be released soon.

 

Oh goodness! If she's got a mature face I'm sure I won't be able to resist the African girl... oh no ;-; *wait for basic version Charsier, wait for basic version* Oh but she might not be in dark tan then... ;-;

And Charsier, don't forget that Kamau never came out as a standard, only as part of the special RS releases. So, it might also be the case for this one.

Just when I thought I was safe.......and now they are going to release 2 new girls too?? I'll wait to see what they look like, so far Jessica is still my fave Iple woman...so far.

 

I have to resist these new girls even if I love them. I have a plan, and I'm sticking to it. Jessica will be mine VERY soon, and then Luo and Evan will finish up the year. If money isn't an issue, Akando may also make his way to me this year. Otherwise, Akando will be next year...and then I can consider adding another lady.

I just hate that I may miss out on a dark tanned girl. Well, maybe I wont even end up liking her, lol.

I was really thinking about RS Jessica but I am going to wait now as if they do the African lady in the Dark tan they probably won't release her in that resin again. *Squeal* I really want someone on that body. Its my second fave body after Twigling's Ylisande body, which is ridiculously pose-able.
