ALL Iplehouse EID woman discussion thread

Dec 23, 2009

1. I can't remember whether we were discussing it here or in the clothes thread, but I did a finger separation on my Asa. I would called it a qualified success. Getting rid of the flashing certainly looks better, but it still won't be possible to get gloves on her as there are areas where the knuckle of one finger rests on the next finger. At those points, it would look odd to separate them, as well as it being a Herculean task. This is in contrast to the SID male hands which really benefit from the knife. It is possible to separate their fingers enough to get gloves and rings on. So, if you are a perfectionist with a couple of hours to spare, a craft knife, some wet and dry and plenty of patience, go for it. If not, you aren't missing much.

I will post pics if anyone is interested. I am just blushing them at the moment.

2. I would certainly be interested in seeing photos of this. It sounds very interesting.

3. Asked Iplehouse, they are planning for YID, SID, EID womans shoes with flat soles!!! :D

*happydance*

4. WOO!! :D Having a hell of a time trying to find flat shoes for my incoming YID. Now to just wait it out.

5. Thought I'd pop in because I was really excited that I don't have to done tons of extra work drafting patterns for my Luna Chimera! I just happen to think hmmm I wonder if any of my 70cm boy clothes would fit on my girl...and if they are close maybe I'll be able to just alter the patterns I have already done. And...
....tada. Definitely not her style, but yippy!!! No hours needed to be spent on drafting new patterns. The shoulders need to be taken in a bit and the pants need to be just a tad bigger for more of a relaxed fit. Now to get working on some proper clothing that is more her style. Sorry for photo spam and run, I just had to let someone know of my excitement..lol

6. Totally!
It is something that really bugged me for quite some time ;)

7. Hehe, one cone...hm. Looks like Mauzi has the advantage at the moment.
Sorry to have you take them off again. ^.^"

8. @MauMau your girls are beautiful :) I didn't even know that was an Asa till I read it. Very awesome :)

9. thanks. I actually make all my own clothing for my doll, but good to know just in case I ever think about purchasing. It was just that the pattern I had for my 70cm resinsoul boy worked because the fabric has some stretch, but it will definitly need to be altered to fit her legs and hips with non stretch. thanks :)

10. Ooooh, great picture!

I'd be so scared of breaking a finger if I tried to seperate them. :(

11. [IMG]

After reading this INCREDIBLY useful thread (and a couple of others) on here, I decided to take a chance and try these SD16 heels (which I'd bought when I briefly owned an SD16), because I don't have any other dolls who can wear them and they're too pretty to go to waste!!

Note: SID/EID feet are wider than SD16, so you may stretch the shoes out a little (which might make them harder to share back and forth with an SD16), and not all SD16 shoes fit SIDs/EIDs -- but a lot of them do!

The angle of the arch of her foot is a little bit different, which was my main issue. I had to be careful, since the heels are resin, and there's a little tongue of resin that comes up the back of the foot, which I was afraid of snapping off.

I wound up just slowly and painstakingly easing her foot into the shoe, wiggling back and forth a little to stretch the straps, one little bit at a time. One of the shoes was harder to get on than the other (probably a microscopic bit shorter in the toe straps), so the foot didn't want to sit flat in the shoe -- but patient wiggling, and pulling the ankle strap tight, eventually did the job.

Thankfully, taking a risk paid off -- these are a perfect fit, they look AMAZING, and she is STANDING in them unassisted . . . and she kept falling over yesterday despite wearing *IpleHouse* heels . . . and yet, even on a windy day (as you can see by her hair and cardigan whipping around), she stood like a rock!!

(I know that the angle of the calf looks like she's leaning, but she's a couple of inches away from the bush behind her, and she didn't budge even in gusts of wind!)

SO MUCH WIN!!! (And now she needs more shoes, LOL!)

-- A :kitty2

P.S. More pics on my Flickr, including the shoes from various angles!

P.P.S. Apologies to anyone who reads this twice -- cross-posting to a couple of EID/SID threads so that the info is available!

P.P.P.S. D'oh!! I'd had the brand in the caption on Flickr, and forgot to copy it over! They're from rRabit shop: http://rrabit.com/rrabitstore/rrabitshop/

12. Those are pretty spectacular shoes. Where are they from?

13. Ooh, nice! I had my eye on those shoes for a while too. Hehe.

14. And thank you for the information.

What a polite bunch we are.

15. does anyone know how I can get my hands on the 'redish' wig shown on the Basic EID Luna? I am getting a custom SID with the Luna head and the basics faceup... but I adore the wig and even the order form show no sign of it or anywhere on the site??

16. Asa and Carina all the way! Though the new Aria and Olivia both possess a mystic lure...

17. that's not 'mystical lure' that's Ipleholism ^^ The first step is admitting the addiction hun ^^.

18. I'm fairly sure it's M057 in saddle brown. They have done pigtail braids and then wound each up into a bun on either side. You can see where they have used elastic ties in some of the pics. I have this exact same style and colour and it's quite easy to achieve this look and other similar up-dos because of its texture.

19. I finally figured out how to be able to ask questions directly (their message system is a tad odd). THEY said, IHW_M012 (Color choice) * Color : #9 (Sepia) O_o I am not so sure about their idea of color but but they said it's that one just braided and tied up... I've ordered it and the one you suggested in brown (which seems to show up nearly red? I also ordered a JID in saddle brown so at the very least I will have the 3 top contenders for color in my hands to see. And I don't mind extra wigs ^^ I got the new braided updo as well in brown... I will probably end up with those 3 styles in a few colors each (eventualy) . They really need to sort out their crayon box cuz it's doesn't have the same stuff as mine LOL. And is it elastic
.... or ribbon? Either way I'll be able to try it out ^^. As soon as they answer my custom make up question I am ordering.... I can't wait anymore
:kitty1

20. Oh yay! Do you know of any other shoes from the shop that can fit our gorgeous girls? :)

21. Rootedinvanity, I don't know about rRabitshop, but Tata's Paradise carries some similar shoes (and I think some crossovers of shoemakers in a couple of places.) I had done a post in the other EID/SID threads about them, but apparently missed this one, so here you go! :D

* * *

I made a reference post with the different styles of SD16-sized shoes from Tata's Paradise -- since I can only post one photo here, check the link to see the styles I tried on my SID/EID high-heeled feet:

Hope this proves helpful!

-- A :aheartbea

P.S. Thank you to Mier for the following list of Tata's styles that do NOT fit:

- Yasi
- Ice
- Hone
- Princess.S
- Nayi, Nini, Nora

Also, Mire Lapin says that the "honeSi" style doesn't fit.

22. my new favorite doll: Lilith, most sweetest demon (fantasy Doria)

23. WooSoo, she's GORGEOUS!!

:D

24. She's awesome WooSoo!

25. I honestly think they are way off if they think the colour is sepia. That's my favourite colour from Iple and I have many in that colour and it's a much deeper brown, closer to chocolate brown, without much of a red tint to it at all. The wig style also surprised me because of the shape of the fringe and bangs, but I guess that depends on styling. They are both very nice wigs either way. I have both styles and use them a lot. ^^

26. I'm totally with you on this one... mine arrived today... I like them in the colors I ordered and will keep them... It had been my intention to have them in both colors anyhow... Just the reverse of 'when' I got them lol. For now my 'guy' can wear the pigtails while I work at learning to style teeny wigs >< ... I'm a twelve thumbs on a good day type :P. He is not gonna be happy with me lol... but I'll have some spam shots later for a couple of threads ^^. Either later tonight or tomorrow I will be ordering my dolls so I have say.... 6 weeks to get it right? lol And I adore my JID outfit! It came with cute socks and a pearl and button choker! How cute ^^ ... I just need to find some summer sandals for her. I will order the nine9style ones for the EID (-_- all 5 colors... I have no will power). But Cami will have shoes!

27. Congrats on all of your new stuff ^^. Which nine9style sandals fit EID? I need some for my girls too. I bought the strap twist sandals from there in SD13 size but they look pretty tiny. I am not even sure they would fir my SDGR...

28. according to the numbers they should fit... I had somone confirm actual foot measures, if anything they should be a teeny bit big.

EID foot (quote from another thread where I asked for the measures) "I measure 7,3 cm in length and 3,1 cm width at the broadest part of the foot." So it should work ^^ Oh and this was for the FLAT foot, which suits this shoe.

http://www.nine9style.net/shop/step1.php?number=5194&b_code=B20110127110536&c_code=C20130122062919 as they say "

Shoes size: approximately 8.3cm (length) x 3.3cm (wide)

and yes its the SD13 according to them *shrugs*... we shall see. I just wish the msd fit the JID ><.

29. Oh and a bonus post ^^ I just ordered my girls (yes TWO). I tossed in a couple of extra clothing items too... I already posted it to the waiting room (it's noon there on the 12th does this mean I bought them.... in the future O_O LOL)... But anyhow in a couple of months I will finally get my Cami & Melli (EID Luna & JID "I"). :aheartbea:love:XD::celebrate:whee::celebrate:dance

30. Ok, I have these at home and can confirm for certain that they do not fit at all. Not even tightly. They won't even go on the foot at all without cutting one toe and some of the side of the foot off. Here is a photo to show what I mean:

*edit* also just want to say I'm not trying to discourage you from buying these and it's totally your choice if you want to take the chance that they might fit. I just wanted to give you a heads-up on this since I know how frustrating it can be to buy things and find they don't fit. I bought these about 2 months ago for my SDGR girls and they barely even squeeze onto the SDGR flat foot >.<.

31. that makes no sense O_o??? Are you dead sure thats not the "msd" size shoe?

Shoes size: approximately 6.6cm (length) x 3cm (wide) x 4cm (height)

the shoe should be longer than the foot by more than 1 cm O_o.... I'm really confused now.... and technically if the heel foot is 7.5 cm an "8" is what you should shoot for.... someones math is off... the question is who is screwing up the measure... and no I actually mean the various companies not you ^^.

32. I don't own any MSD size dolls. Actually nothing smaller than SDGR. I ordered SD13 size and this is what I got. To be honest I was quite disappointed when I got them too, since they are too small for half of the dolls I own. :(

33. I can confirm that those particular shoes run on the small side, too... I have a black pair of them on my Delf Elf Lishe at the moment and they fit her pretty well. Her feet are a fair bit smaller than my SD13 girls (Who can wear those shoes, but getting them on or off is a serious fight and a half-), so I suspect putting them on a doll with even larger feet would be impossible. The company probably just copy-pasted the wrong set of measurements for them. o_0

34. this is the exact reason that there should be a standard for how to "label" sizes. Especially for shoes >< ... and the hunt begins.... AGAIN ><

35. I know that the heel feet are slightly smaller than the flat feet -- have you tried those in the shoes?

(But, yeah, they look tiny, and Delf girl feet are nowhere near EID size!)

<3!

36. LOL you would have to ask mier ... she is the one with the doll! I just ordered mine 2 days ago

37. The heel feet are slightly smaller, but as has been said, those particular sandals are tiny. There's no chance of them fitting on the heel feet either. The feet are too wide at the toes and also the arch of the foot is too high for those sandals. I can say for sure though that the nine9style ballet flats fit on the EID/SID/YID heel feet really well and because they are enclosed the foot arch isn't really an unsightly problem.

38. Whoa, just saw this. LOVE IT. Adopting this term from now on!

39. Hi guys! Sorry to just randomly barge into your thread, but I've been considering looking into getting Jessica for a while now... However, I'm kinda stuck. Instead of buying alternate hands, I like to custom pose the fingers myself, and in a photo (may have been this thread or another, I've looked at so many now, I'm not sure) I came across, it looked like the outer 3 fingers on each hand were joined, instead of separated. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is true, or if it was just the way they appeared, do to angles of the photos.

*ETA*
I'm so sorry! I saw the last post was Oct 17th, but missed the year. I didn't mean to resurrect an ancient thread :/

40. No worries!

If you buy a new Jessica from Iple, she will come with separated fingers on the new-style hands. (Check out the "option parts" section on the Iple site -- they have several hand poses for EID women.)

This is a fairly recent change -- before this year, the default EID Woman hands did have fused fingers.

Hope this helps!

-- A <3

41. Its cool Jade, after all, I didn't know IH started making separated fingered hands!

Now, if they'd make some in gray so I can get a pair for Twyla, my Luna Tamer, I'd be happy!

Ryu

42. only thing you need to worry about is 'shade' of grey ^^ ITEM VIEW : E. I. D Option Parts - EID_Woman New hand parts01

43. :aeyepop: OH WOW! That's good to know! :D I'm going to look into getting a pair!

It looks like the clawed hands still have the fingers together. :...(

If they would make separated fingers in clawed hands I'd be even happier! :3nodding:

Ryu

44. I have a quick question. I’m getting Jessica for my birthday with large busy and I have know idea what she could wear. Do SD17 pants fit like they do for SIDS or other 1/3 doll clothes. Also what size eyes, I was think of getting either 12mm or 14mm

45. Hi @lili_707, and welcome to DoA!

You would be better off asking your questions in this thread instead, since the EID woman thread hasn't been active since 2015. :3nodding:
