Perfectly proportional, resin match is slightly off, head is a little lighter than the body.

Haylee; Migidoll Miho head on a Souldoll double jointed body, both in normal skin:


Perfectly proportional, resin match is off. Head is more yellowy, body is more pink.

 

Diamond is an Elfdoll BW rem. Nabee (with modded eyes) on a CP BW Delf Girl body:





The match is excellent, although the resin colors are slightly off. The elfdoll head is more pinky and CP is more yellowy. But it is a very slight difference.

Cillian is a MD BW Miho (first edition) on a CP BW boy body:





The match is litterally perfect, color and size wise!

Resin match : 95% (the head is a little bit more yellow because it's yellowing at a very fast rate, somehow D8. Even though the body is already a couple of years old)
Proportion : very good.

Proportion : Head looks a little big, bobblehead.

Resin match : supposedly almost perfect with newer bodies, but the Volks body that I have has yellowed.
Proportion : Very good.

Resin match : off. Glorydoll's resin is peachier.

She is a lusis head with Kaye headback on a ns B line minifee body. Shes been hand blushed to achieve a tanned look. I will most likely be giving her a dip tan to cut down on the joint discoloration soon.

 

Dollshe Afghan on a Dollmore Model Doll body. The proportions are just a smudge off and the resin match is right on.

Resin type/age/match: The body's about a year old and sligthly yellowed, while the head is from 2005. The match is rather good with a bit of blushing to the neck.
Proportion: The head look great when the body is clothed, but without shirt the torso seem a bit thin.


Head type: DOC Tender Zen
Body type: Castle Anne junior
Resin type/age/match: The head's from DODs 2006 summer patch, before they went completely pink and is a near perfect match.
Proportion: Proportions are great, but the neck needs to be sanded just a little shorter.

How do head and body fit?: The neck is a bit slender for the hole, but Recalls have a strange size head for a DZ and an unusually large neck opening so it doesn't look disproportionate. Easily hidden by a wig if the gap bugs you.
Other info: The resin match is perfect

How do head and body fit?: The head fits on quite well. The color match is almost exact (Though I have dyed it all purple on this doll)
Other info: I have matched up both of Obitsu's heads, Haruka and Gretel, with Dollfie Dream bodies. I love how they look together

 

Sorry for the bad pictures..I thought full body shots would be the most helpful, so I just used the quick ones I took after I made each hybrid .

Head type: Dolkot Kiss
Body type: Dollzone
Resin type/age: WS for both- Kiss is a few years old, while the body is from 2008. The head is a bit creamier than the body (as it has yellowed a bit), but the difference is negligible in most lights.
How do head and body fit?: Perfectly! No modding required, and the proportions look very natural.

The Dollzone body is better in every way .

Head type: DIM Rain
Body type: Angell Studio (normal)
Resin type/age: NS for the head (from their pink period-can't remember when that was). Pinky white for the body. They match almost perfectly, except the DIM resin has a different finish (it's shinier and rougher).

My body has a slightly faded chest plate, so that area is a little paler than the head...the other parts are slightly more pink than the head, but it's only noticeable in certain lights .

How do head and body fit?: The neck was way too long in my opinion..it really bothered me, so I ended up modding it-I took off at least an inch from the top (I forgot to measure before I started), and also sanded it widthwise-it took hours .

The neck is still a little too thick (the head has problems looking in certain directions), but I would say that the proportions are perfect otherwise. I'm going to be modding it later on, so I'll post new pictures once I have.

Head type: DIM Angelo
Body type: Fantasy Doll
Resin type/age: NS for the head (it's at least a few years old, so it has probably yellowed). White for the body. They match almost perfectly, except the DIM resin is slightly darker.
How do head and body fit?: The neck is a bit too long in my opinion. I haven't modded it yet, so the picture below shows everything in it's natural state:



The neck is also too thin for the head..there's a noticeable gap between the two. I'm going to be modding it later on, so I'll post new pictures once I have.

Head: Migidoll Ryu NS 2007
Body: Old-style souldoll NS
Match: Very good, I can only tell the difference in certain lights.
Fit: Didn't have to mod at all, has limited mobility and had to replace the souldoll "bar" with a hook to make the head stay on.

 

Head : Napidoll Chesi NS
Body : Volks SD10 girl NS
Resin match : 90% (the head is a little yellow than body)
Proportion : very good.

 

Kitsuni is a Haruka Obitsu head temporarily on a NS mature Sprite body by Bobobie.
The color match is perfect. The head is a little large for the body, but it looks cute IMO. I had to use one of those "donut" neck pieces along with the S hook to keep the head on, but once it was attached it worked very well. I can move her head around with no problem and it stays on.

Ehm, is he a hybrid, really? Anyway, CP Lishe head on CP boy body, works like a charm, of course!



CP Dreaming Moon (with modded eyes) on Fairyland boy body. They use the same neck system and you even get a Dreaming Vampire Moon head with Fairyland's boy body, so this one was an easy one as well :3



Musedoll WS Ciel with Volks DD WS body. Awesome resin match (okay, resin and vinyl match as DDs are not resin ^^ and well-propotioned imho. The hands are a bit big. The head is attached with elastic that goes to the hook of her headcap.

The good:
Perfect resinmatch
Head and body are in right proportions

The bad:
The neckhole isn't nearly big enough and needs some serious modding (which I haven't done yet, chicken that I am)

 

I no longer have this head, but this is a Chiwoo head on Olivia's body - SD16 Girl. I tried this head on other bodies, but it looked best on Olivia's body. The others were too small for this large head.

Well, this sort of counts. This is the only pic I have of Lore on his new body. Really must take more of him with actual clothes on. ^^;

Body: white skin Fairyland Feeple boy body

Kind of a no-brainer. Given that Fairyland and Luts are/were associated, their resin is a perfect match for each other. The Feeple bodies use the type 2 neck mechanisms that Luts uses on their type 2 and 3 bodies, so the heads and bodies from both companies can easily be swapped. And the Feeple body is fantabulous with posing and holding its poses without any sueding/wiring/restringing required. Does not suffer the "kicky leg syndrom" that most Luts bodies possess, either, so I can leave Lore standing literally for hours on end without fear of him taking a deadly tumble off a shelf. Plus, it's just so pretty to look at!

 

Head : LUTS Senior Delf Bliss (Real Skin White)
Body : Crobidoll Soft White Lance body
Resin match : 92...%? The body is slightly darker and yellower. The mismatch isn't obvious most of the time though. The faceup (or maybe just the MSC sealing it) tones down the paleness of the head slightly, I think?
Proportion : Excellent.
Other : Soom jointed hands in cream white are a terribly bad match D: They're paper white in comparison to the pinkish head and yellowish body *facepalm* Also, the wrist ball is a bit too small for the forearm, but the proportion of the hands to the rest of the body is still spot-on.

This is my fourth hybrid, Zana, a Volks Madoka-head on an oriental skin Dollstown 15y girl body:


The good: Resinmatch is spot on, head fits perfectly on her neck and has great posability. Proportions are also very nice.

The bad: errr... she doesn't have a face-up yet...?

The ugly: Nothing comes to mind. Really, this is the perfect combo.

 

2008 Breakaway Vampire on Souldoll Double Boy Body

The Good: Those hips, dear lord. X3 lol The body is pretty slinky and delicious. It suits the character perfectly.

The Bad: He's SO thin! Even the Souldoll and Delf clothes we have are too big for him.

The Ugly: We bought this body because were told it matched CP soooooo well. Really, it's my own stupidity. After owning 10+ Delfs over the last couple years.... you'd think I would know what matches one Delf definitely isn't going to match another. His head and body are so far from the same colour it drives me nuts. feral5 actually managed to hide it fairly well when taking this photo.

Fits very well when it comes to size and ability to move. Iplehouse's Normal Skin resin were almost a perfect match to Dollmore's Normal Skin during the first two years but after that IH's has started to get slightly more yellow.

Head: Minifee Miyu
Body: Soulkids double jointed girl body

Resin match is perfect. In tungsten light there can be a very little difference, but you only notice if you search it. In natural light you can't tell the difference! ^^ The proportion of head and body is perfect, too.
The good thing on this body is the mobility: It's very near to the mobility of the new minifee active line body.

The bad thing is that I had to sand a lot inside the neck so I could put the minifee neckpart for holding her head :S It was really difficult to do because the neck of this body is very thick x__x

Very good resin match and proportions. ^^

Good: Head needs the MNF neck piece, but then it fits perfectly.

Not a perfect match, the head is much more pinkish that the body!



Miu, a Minifee Miyu head NS on a New Dollzone Girl body NS, with minifee girl hands
The match head-body is perfect, but the hands are more recents than the head, and are a little more pinkish that the body!



Tom, a Minifee DES head BW on an Old Dolllzone boy body White skin, with minifee boy hands
The match is 100% perfect!^^



The last, Penny, a latidoll White Belle Head on a kit volks body (XD)
The head is a bit yellowed tan the body, but not so much!

 

I have three hybrids at the moment.

Two of them are DZ X/ Fdoll hybrids and one is a CP/Domuya hybrid.

DZ X/Fdoll WS hybrid

The good; I love the body. It's perfect for his character, and the WS is a near dead on match. Has decent posing ability for being single jointed.

The Bad: uh...he has snappy arms, but that could just be stringing.

Seamus:


DZ X/Fdoll NS pink hybrid

The Good: Again, nice posing for only being single jointed and the body fits the character perfectly.

The Bad: The resin? Doesn't match. It's better than the NS Yellow was, but still not good. I had to blush his neck and shoulders to get them closer to the colour of his head. Other than that, there isn't much, except hedoes the snappy arms thing, too. Might be a quirk of Fdolls.

Proportion on these guys is good. The neck is a liiiitle long, buttheyalways wear collars, so it isn't noticeable unless I point it out.

The Good: Where do I start? XD Love love LOVE the body sculpt, poseability is absolutely fantastic, resin match is very good and I am utterly in love with his hands! XD Also, my El is a T2, and the neckpiece fits perfectly on the body's neck.

The Bad: It took tightening him a *lot* and hot glue sueding him to get him to pose really well.

Proportion is fantastic on this one.

 

I'm looking for pics with CH little junior head on CH junior body. Is this possible? or this combo requires some sanding or something?

This Hybrid is a Pepper head by Kaye Wiggs on a Thaasa 2, normal skin body. The resin is, for all practical purposes, a perfect match.

Although the colour match is not as bang-on as the ID body, it's close enough. And, I really like this new body.

The ID body is around, and is being used by it's original head SID Alex, Charlie.

 

I don't know if there is a thread for this. I searched 'frankendolly' and only got a few small results. I know its a pretty odd request.

But let's see them!!! All the super hybrids out there, with parts from lots of different dolls or companies all on the same doll. This will also be very informative for those who may wonder what can and cannot be Frankendollied. So go ahead and show your highly customized boys and girls. Or unstring and start swapping just for funzies if it tickles your fancy. I know I would if I had more dolls.

I would love to make a special Frankendolly of my own, but I'm a little financially challenged to do so right now. Maybe later in the thread my own dolly mutt will pop up if that changes.

Oh, I have a hybrid~

Eva is a dollzone head on an AoD body. They're both NS. It's an old AoD body that I bought second hand, so I'm pretty sure the NS resin is from before they had NS-Y and NS-P options. I don't know if the DZ kimi head is P or Y, but I'd assume pink.

Anyway, the resin match is almost identical. The DZ head is just half a shade lighter than the AoD body; not noticable unless you know it's a hybrid and are specifically looking for it.

 

Here is my hybrid- HZ Wang Ye head on Impldoll star body both normal skin:

 

Reece is a hybrid, he's a WS BBB Espree head on a WS Dollzone body with WS MNF hands.
The body and the head is about 2 year-ish and matches pretty good.
The hands are a lighter shade the body/head but they arent very noticable.
I'm gonna change his body to a RS one soon though cause I dislike the dollzone one.




Tommy, a WS ND Peru head blushed to match BBB NS Resin is on a Light Tan RS body.
The head is a lighter shade than the body,
but doent bother me since it's not very noticable on pictures.
