I love looking at all the hybrids So I figured I should throw my lot into the fray.


Left is Sigil, a DoC Bee-A Dollzone NS girl hybrid. The resin match is really good on her - no noticeable difference. And the body is so long and elegant, it suits her perfectly.
Right is Bran, a DoC Too on a Dollmore new boy body. Again, Resin match for him is really good (some dference in the way his face has yellowed where the testors has been sprayed, but where it hasnt the match is damn near perfect).


Hyarhys, an AngelFantasy Sleeping Huo head on a Dollzone boy body. This is actually really bad, and I don't recommend it ^^; But with a white skin body it might be better. Still, I loves him ^_^


My boyfriend's Kalis, an Angelregion sleeping Cien head on another Dollzone boy body. I think it works ridiculously well myself ^_^

Okay my first hybrid was Teapot a DoC Hoo-Narae hybrid

Pinky White was a perfect match, unfortunately the french resin does yellow a lot faster than the DoC resin so now there is a difference that wasn't there before T_T

My second was Tovi. He's a DoC Zen-Dollmore hybrid

Resin difference is so tiny, it's barely worth mentioning.

Third is Caer, a DoC T.Too-Dollzone hybrid


was worried this one wouldn't work but while the head is more pink than the body there's not enough difference for me to worry about it.

Fourth to be hybrided is Dustin, he's a DoC U-MNF BW hybrid

In certain lights his body does have a bit of beauty green colouring to it. In other lights it's not noticeible at all.

How do head and body fit?: Perfect fit.
Other info: I had PherretLord mod a slot into Ro's head, it made head-removal, and swapping even easier. Aside from that, no modifaction was necessary. In fact the slot was for ease, not out of necessity.

Resin type/age: Normal skin opaque resin; head is about 1 year old, body is about 2-3 years old (I got it used, so I'm not sure of age.)
How do head and body fit?: Beautifully. The head looks very natural on the body, and the resin match is nearly spot-on.
Other info: Since I have an old CH body, and the Lune head was one of the first they made, the resin probably won't match if you get a new Souldoll head and CH body. Also, I modded his face slightly. His jaw was a little lopsided, so I evened it out.

How do head and body fit/match?: The head sits perfectly on the body, however it is a little wobbly (that might just be how I position the neck piece though) and the proportions are perfect. The match is quite off as Leeke normal skin resin is a light creamy normal skin while the CP body I have him on is a little too peachy. The mismatch was actually done on purpose though since Riddley is supposed to have white-ish clown makeup on. =) I think he might match an older batch of CP.

How do head and body fit/match?: The neck of the body needed to be sanded down quite a bit in order to support the small Elfdoll head. The proportions are very nice but the match is a little off; Elfdoll resin leans a little more to the pinky side while B&G is a little yellowy. It doesn't bother me though.

How do head and body fit/match?: The neck hole inside Dia's head needed to be dremeled a bit so that the strings from the Minimee body could fit through. Once that was done, his head sat quite well on the body. The proportions are pretty good, though I would like it if the neck weren't so thick since it makes it difficult for him to look downwards. The match is also a bit off; The head is a nice creamy white yellowy color while the body is a bit more paper white, and the resin itself seems to be thinner. The body could probably use some blushing in order to match the head better.​

How do head and body fit?: Head hole slightly larger than neck circumference lending excellent mobility without looking overlarge; resin match is 95% since MSC on faceup lightens the slight yellow tones of the head.
Other info: The neck of the Thaasa body was lengthened by Shin to 4.8cm from clavicle to top as per my request. There is a faint line at the seam, so I covered it with white pencil and sealed the torso with MSC. The new longer-necked version of the Thaasa body has a slightly shorter overall length of 4cm.

How do head and body fit?: Resin match is almost perfect (the head is a little bit paler). Neck was a bit problematic because of MNF’s neck system, but problem was easily solved by modding head’s neck hole.

Resin type/age: The head is almost a year and a half old; the bod is brand new.
How do head and body fit?: Perfectly. The Type-1 neck-hole sits nicely atop the body's neck and there's a good range of movement there. One of those U-shaped neck-pieces from Luts keeps the head on securely.
Other info: The resin matches well in photographs, but in real life Li's head is rather pinker than his body. It's enough to be noticeable if you're looking for it, but it's not overly distracting especially if you can't see the physical join between his head and neck where the colours change.

Name--Nora

Head Type-- Unoa faceplates

Body Type-- Serendipity Sharmin body

Resin Type--older version SR body. Unoa faceplates, little difference between 1.0 and 1.5.

Fit A head back must be made unless one is lucky enough to have an extra Unoa head back. I made one from sculpty clay, after several false starts. It fits all right but I have added blu tack to create some friction so I can more easily manipulate the head. At this point in time, fellow DOA member Kaye is making Unoa type resin headbacks.

Other-- the skin tones matches Unoa great, but I have been told the newer version of SR bodies are too pink. Also the SR body is more petite, and more slender then the Unoa body, so some of the smaller type clothes fit great.






Some of the Unoa type clothes are too big and baggy for the SR body.

To keep the faceplate on the headback, try using tape, glue, or blu tack.

 

Rhoswen is a Leeke Honey Elf Head on a Magnetic Bambicrony Body

Resin type/age: I'm actually not certain how old either of them are, since I am not the first owner of either. I purchased the head in January 2007 secondhand, and the body secondhand in early 2009. The DIM resin is the older yellower color. I believe the Lumedoll body was from sometime in 2008.
How do head and body fit?: The head fits well on the body, though the body is slim for such a round head. I don't mind the look, but it's something to bear in mind.
Other info: The resin doesn't match very well, but the head is the older DIM resin and may be yellowing with age. The body has been blushed to match the head.

Resin type/age: The Juri 06 is from December 2006, of course. Fantasy Doll white skin body delivered in July of 2007.
How do head and body fit?: Well, the original fit isn't very good, since the Juri head has the new locking style and the Fantasy Doll body has the traditional S-hook. I changed the S-hook out for one of the Type 2 neckpieces. It fits like a charm!
Other info: The resin is a dead-on color match. It's very difficult to tell that they are from different companies in photos. In person, the Fantasy Doll resin is a bit smoother and shinier... but only really noticeable under close scrutiny.

Resin type/age: The MNF head is from spring of 2007, I'm not the first owner of the body so I don't know its age
How do head and body fit?: It takes some modification to get it to fit. The MNF head is set up to take the CP locking neckpiece, while the Soulkid body has the standard S-hook. I was able to obtain a secondhand MNF neckpiece to attach, and now it looks great. Before I got the neckpiece, I used a washer inside the head and the neck looked a little short.
Other info: The resin match is very close. I even have spare Minifee hands for her.

How do head and body fit?: Perfectly. I am not a big fan of the ring that the Elfdoll bodies have instead of the S-hook, so it has been changed. However, it fit well with the ring. (I just tend to restring dolls pretty often and it's easier with an S-hook).
Other info: Resin match is decent. The Domuya head is just slightly pinker (Elfdoll a little yellower), but it doesn't show up in most photos.

Resin type/age: The head is older, from 2005 I think, no later than 2006 for certain. She is a bit darker and a bit more orange than the current CP NS.
How do head and body fit?: Pretty well. The shape of the fit in the neckhole is a little strange, but it doesn't affect posing or show up in most photos.
Other info: Resin match is pretty bleh. The older CP NS is much more peach and a bit darker, while the Flexibody is lighter and yellower. (The head is a bit darker and peachier than my newer CP dolls, though).

Resin type/age: The head is from winter 2007, the body was bought secondhand in the fall of 2008 so I'm not sure how old it is.
How do head and body fit?: Since the DD2 body normally doesn't use stringing, the body had to be modified with an added bit of elastic and an S-hook to accommodate the head. (This was done by a previous owner). Once the elastic and hook were added, it fit nicely. I trimmed off the extra extension of the skeleton that stuck out of the neckhole, as it kept bumping her eyes and making her look cross-eyed.
Other info: There is just a bit of difference in the two vinyls. The DD2 body is a bit darker and yellower, while the Obitsu is a little more pinky-white. It does need a teensy bit of blushing for a perfect match, but I'm happy with it as-is.

Head type: CP Dreaming Lishe (Type 1, eyes modded) - fairly heavy yellowing
Body type: Angel of Dream WS v2 girl body
Resin type/age: The head is fairly old, probably around 2004 or 2005. It had yellowed somewhat when I bought it from its previous owner. The body is newer, but I'm not the first owner. If I had to guess, I'd say about 2008 for the body.
How do head and body fit?: Very nicely. I use one of the "neck donuts" to keep her head on instead of the "s-hook in the headcap" method, and the neck fits quite well into the neck hole.
Other info: Since the AoD resin is newer and the CP resin is older/yellowed, it's hard to tell if they'd have been a match if they were both new. As it is, the AoD resin has a more peach undertone and has to be blushed to match the head.
