I paid my invoice yesterday so now it's down to waiting! I've heard that Unoalchemy is usually a fairly quickly turned around, but does anyone know what kind of time frame I'm looking at?

My Eclair (lusis) still needs new.. everything (eyes, faceup, wig) but she looks so cute in a uniform alongside my Tiramisu (sist), as well as a sneaky appearance from my Pukifee in the background

Does anyone else set up their unoas in a special way? All my favorite dolls sit on a couch atop my bf's dresser alongside his figure collection- where they're in sight (and out of direct sunlight) so that they're always pretty and on display

 

Thank you! I have some plans for the Sist, and then I might hybrid the Lusis with a Doll chateau body... maybe.

Mine will doubtless live in the bookcase with the rest of my dolls - although the bookcase is starting to get a mite overpopulated, haha. Maybe it's time make another spot for them?

 

Please excuse my awful indoors phone photo too, but all the clothes, wigs and eyes I ordered finally managed to make it out here and Toast, my Lusis, is looking much more herself now.

I'm loving having a Unoa finally! I've already started to try to collect new faceplates for her. It's stupidly fun.

 

I woke up to a shipping notice this morning! I can't wait to see these girls in person!

 

u wu I also got a shipping notice for my paradise kit ! I've been snooping around and couldn't find any info on it yet--- but has anyone done/seen any colour comparisons between paradise and other tans yet?

 

Congratulations!! I also looked around for comparisons but couldn't find much... when my girl arrives I can do a comparison with Soom bronze but that's about it.

I just got my b-grade Unoa Lusis from Unoalchemy.com and she perfect. I got from AL surprise bonus stuff! That was a total surprise! I'm in love!!!

 

My girl arrived today too~ Couldn't help but play with her a bit before remembering to do tan comparisons before the sun went down haha~ I'm not 100% sure if the bully face will be her main or not, but for now it is because I love how cheeky she looks~ I'm going to try to give her a face up tomorrow if the weather decides to cooperate.

Here she is with Soom tawny on the left and Luts real skin brown on the right. Paradise looks like a close match to tawny in person, a faceup would definitely make the match closer imo. I also took a picture of the headcaps + the small bust torso for a closer comparison. I haven't seen Luts real skin tan in person, but judging from the luts resin comparison tan might match well? I'll have to see if anyone in my local group will be bringing any tan dolls to the next meet up for more comparisons

 

Ooooh, congratulations you two! My girl was hanging out in customs all day. I'm sure San Francisco is nice, but hurry up and come home already!

@Ayuuya she's so cute! Tawny is a closer match than I expected - it will be interesting to see how the bronze compares.

Comparison with Soom Bronze. As you can see, it's a bit lighter and more yellow.

I'm curious - is it normal for the faceplates to come with flashing still in the eyes and mouth? Almost all the faceplates I got (aside from the Lusis and winking Sist) still have extra resin in their eye holes (and in Lusis' mouth).

 

@redfeathers ^^ thank you~ Your girl is also adorable, I like her outfit ❤ I think it is normal, most of mine also had flashing in the eyes and I've seen other faceplates with flashing in other sales posts.

Here's another picture of my girl. I think this picture shows how close the tawny can be-- although the wig choices might also skew the colours a little.

 

Long time no see everyone!!! I sort of didn't really do anything with my Lusis for like a few years. But since I got back from a three month long study trip, I've really gotten into buying and making more clothes for her. So I haven't been back here in ages and I'm not sure about where the best place to post clothing, shoe, and furniture reviews for unoas would be, since the links at the front of the discussion seem to be very old, but if I can post a couple photos each about different things here, please let me know. I'd love to share with you all what I've found works and doesn't work. Here's a picture of Adalia Dulcine. I had first named her Peach, because I hadn't seriously thought about what I wanted to name her, and originally she was going to be a sweet lolita, but apparently she takes to being a princess a heck of a lot more. Plus it makes sense with having a unicorn prince for a best friend. My unicorn prince will hopefully be made soon. I made an order for a fairy skin L-bi like a week ago? I might redo Adalia's faceup when I do the unicorn since I don't really like it. I think it needs more detailing and more blush. Her eyes are also those make-it-yourself kits I bought off ebay, but I think they might be a tad too big and the shade of blue I ended up making seems too cool for her look. I also put in the ultra fine shimmer stuff, and I don't think I like it since it gives off more of a metallic look rather than a sparkly look. I actually decided I like the nice grey eyes she came with, but I lost one of them. TuT

 

@Ayuuya and @redfeathers it's great to see more paradise skin Unoas around! Love both girls' sense of style. It's fun to see the rare, cheeky bully faceplate, too!

@Peachdolly I didn't do anything with my L-bi for a whole year, so don't feel too bad! Sometimes you just need to let them sit until inspiration bites you again. I've got a photo to share of my boy (who is also fairy skin!), so I guess you can think of it as a sneak peak for your incoming L-bi. Are you going to go with a pastel theme for your unicorn prince or perhaps something more unconventional?



Lliam here only just got his faceup this past weekend (and only after I finished my newest doll's faceup, whoops!). I put him all together this morning and he just felt "meh." So, I spent a couple hours this afternoon messing around with him (primarily trimming and futzing with his wig) and I think I'm starting to warm up to him again.

 

@Ayuuya thank you! I didn't know exactly what I should expect haha. Luckily my wife is a genius at tiny details so removing it was no problem for her (I am less than coordinated with an exacto knife).

All that aside, I'm completely enchanted with the engineering of the body! I love all the little things Araki put in to make posing simpler and more expressive. I can't believe it took me over a decade in this hobby to get the Unoa bug lol.

@Kimchi your Lliam is adorable! I have to admit that a fairy skin L-Bi is also on my wishlist. I guess something about the sculpt really suits it!

 

@Kimchi I love his rainbow-ness. He looks like one of those giant rainbow swirl lollipops.
I was actually thinking of being boring ad doing traditional white hair for my unicorn L-bi. I might make my own wig and have some pastel sky blues or lavenders and lilacs in his white wig too. I'm also definitely getting him some Oscar eyes!!! A unicorn should definitely have sparkle eyes!!! I was thinking sky blue with lavender, but it'll depend on what I can find.

@arabel I adore Toast. I love seeing pictures of her, so post more! She has a nice expressive faceup.

Man, I wish we could do a Unoa meetup where unoa owners from all around the globe all come together and make tons of photo stories!

Also, for those of you that have multiple faceplates for the same doll, do you get multiple eyes to put in each plate or switch the eyes from faceplate to faceplate as you change the one on your doll?

 

Oh thank-you so much! I'm very lucky to have her - I'm hoping to have some more time to do a proper photo shoot soon! Every time I get time to try its awful indoor evening light.

And for me, I have a set of eyes for each faceplate at the moment - mainly so that I don't have to mess around placing them properly all the time (it seems like some sort of black magic to get the placement just right, so I hate moving them if I don't have to!).

I am sooooooo excited.... I splurged a little and bought a Fairy Skin Lusis from Unoalchemy !!! I paid but haven't yet gotten a shipping notice or anything, I can't wait for her to arrive so we can start figuring out her style And finally my Narae will have company again!

@Vandella here is a photo with a 10mm eye and a 12mm eye in the same face plate as a comparison (click photo to reach original photo source, I didn't take this). I know there's a thread around here too with 10mm vs 12mm eyes for either Naraes or Unoas... can't seem to find it at the moment, but if you do some searching you should be able to dig it up!

For your request, here's a photo of my Lusis (center) wearing 10mm. The sist (right) is also wearing 10mm, and roron (left) is wearing 12mm. Hope this helps!

I personally prefer smaller/more realistic pupils, so I prefer 10mm. It can have gapping in the corners if she "looks" in one direction, but they mostly work well.

I personally prefer the 12mm look more I think, but the 10mm look nice too... maybe I just make a field test and order both sizes and see which one looks better to me. Thank you

 

I've been admiring Unoas for years and finally got my own sist! She's so beautiful, I can't wait to finish her I am having trouble finding an 6-7 wigs in the style that I want for her, but I'm seeing soooo many 7-8 wigs that would work Anyone have any experience with slightly larger wigs on Unoa heads? Would the fit be reasonable with a silicone cap?

 

The pink wig my middle unoa wears (my last post) is 7-8 from Lullaby Poem actually Here's a photo of it without the hat:

The biggest flaw I find with it is that the bangs are too long for her face(and I don't want to trim them because they're perfect length on my actual 7-8 dolls), but with a hat (or a silicon wig cap) it sits nicely.
With this said, I've definitely tried larger 7-8 wigs (more towards the 8) that she swam in.. It's a lot of trial and error I suppose.

Now the truth is collected only one girl, but even in the plans of her twin sister)) I will hope that it will manifest itself swiftly!

The girl's name is Mia Colette, nicknamed Cake!

 

I'm working on a bed for my incoming girl Niko, and got some cool props in for Ryon this weekend!

 

It is taking everything in me to not scream in all caps right now -- the day has finally arrived! And by the day, I mean my beautiful fairyskin Lusis!! I receivied TONS of extra goodies (including a decadant, a wink, and I believe 2 regular Lusis plates) and she came so much faster than I thought she would, I was completely surprised! These photos are of her JUST out of the box & clothed... I'm not sure what style I want her to be in because she looks so cute in so much, but for now here is something sticky sweet (and a makeup app to mock-up a sweeter faceup!).

Edited to add another pic of my girl! I can't get enough! And makeup apps are super fun to try different future faceup styles on her haha. Not sure I want one like this but it worked. Man, I hoped she was going to be kind of gothy because she's so pale, but I think she's going to be super sweet instead!! They have a mind of their own sometimes....

I snagged a second sist last week and she arrived recently- here's the two of them together. I tried to style her after Tiramisu (right) and would like to think I did a decent job

 

I use to give my dolls no new name, unless her original name is silly. The only doll with a new name is my Volks DWC-02 named Keiko.
Therefore she will stay simply Lusis :-) When I buy another Unoa, it will be Sist.

Hello! I have a bunch of sewing patterns that fit the Unoa 1/1.5 body and I'm trying to figure out whether they will fit my dolls/what I might have to tweak to fit my dolls. I'm looking for measurements for the wrist/arm, thigh, and ankle girth, shoulders (including arms), and arm/leg/torso length. I've done some digging and these are the most detailed measurements I could find. A lot of the older pages people linked to are totally gone. Does anyone have the measurements on hand?

 

Hi all! Everyone's Unoas are so lovely, I've had a great time looking through pictures~

I've had my eye on a Lusis for a while now to shell a character of mine (a robot named Makoto). I'd like to put the Lusis head on the L-bi body, and was wondering if anyone had a hybrid like this they could share, if it'd work. I've never actually seen an Unoa in person, so I'm not sure how they're assembled or anything. Any help would be great! Or just Boy Lusises (?) in general~
