AKAGIDOLL - 72 cm and 66 cm dolls

Hello!

I really do need your help, I want to get the 66cm version 2 body in NS for my Switch Ryuzo head and I will really appreciate if someone can give me any info about resin match and proportions.

Does anyone know when the current Akagi event ends? Alice's Collections has the discounts on their website, but no information about when the event ends. I can't check the Akagi Facebook, so I was wondering if anyone here has any info!

 

Not sure when it will end, but I can tell you when I ordered mine (August 31st, also from Alice) it was with the 21% off sale discount. Since there is no sale information, it might not end for awhile. Just a guess, though.

 

Thank you! I wish there was an ending date somewhere, because I really want to get You Yue soon, but I also have another preorder opening soon that I want to get in on... It does seem likely that it'll be going for a while though, if there's no set ending date. I sure hope so!

 

I have looked at those heads for a long time. They all look very unique!!!

 

I just got an email from Alice collections that my Yair has shipped!! I'm so excited, I've been waiting since mid-March and now it'll be less than a week (assuming he doesn't get stopped too long in customs) until he's home!!

 

Does anyone have any akagidoll 1/3 head hybrids, preferably in normal skin? I realy wanna make a hybrid with my Ban head but resin matching has me so nervous. ;u;

 

@Cap'n - I have an Akagi Doll Tanta hybrid. I've attached his head to a Dollclans S line body. I can take some pics of the resin match for you if you'd like. ^^ (Dollclans have a a U line and Y line body as well, and they would be around the 60cm mark. These might be a better option for the Ban head.)

 

@rensirita - Yes please!! Thank you! I'm not so much worried about the size as I am the color. I've never made a hybrid before. >.<

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone had an Akagidoll body in white skin and could tell me what kind of undertones it has. I'm planning on getting the Ver. II 66cm body in white for a head I'm getting, but the head is pretty stark white with no yellow or pink undertones (or extremely slight ones), so I'm wondering how the match will be. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help!

I'd say the Akagidoll white skin is a bit of an in between - not really yellow, but not really pink undertones. More of an in between. It's not as yellow as my yellow-toned dolls (April Story NS, Leekeworld NS; both are probably fairly volks-matching) but not as pink as my pink-toned dolls (Doll Family H Pink skin, Fairyland NS) but not as pale/white as my white skin dolls (Fantasia Doll WS, Swandoll WS; Swandoll was labeled as being close to Volks white skin.)

The Akagidoll white skin matches nearly exactly with Ringdoll normal skin (based on my 2016 Akagidoll and 2016 Ringdoll pieces); so if you can find any comparisons with the head you want and Ringdoll normal; the Akagidoll will be similar in match.

 

I did a hybrid of my Switch Ryuzo head on an Akagidoll 66cm body. The proportion is perfect and the resin match is around 98%, in some lighting you can't tell the difference. The body is darker than the head, same color gradation.

still loving my Ban hybrid girl - ''normal' on impldoll idol female body in 'pink' although this batch from impldoll was very pale compared to another 'pink' I had from them. Pink always varies batch to batch so there's no guarantees - I've had both body and head for a couple of years now, and they have both faded and mellowed, to complicate matters further - I'm not fanatical about resin matching though.

I'm still wondering if I should get a 47cm or a 66cm version. Then I was looking at Dikadoll 73cm body and wondered how the head would look on it, maybe with female hands as well but those probably wouldn't fit.

Does someone here also have a Dikadoll and can do a comparison?

I ordered a full 66cm doll from Alice's Collections on August 31st 2016, and it shipped November 27th 2016; I'd imagine the wait time for just a body would be pretty similar, and I wouldn't think the wait time would vary greatly from the end of 2016 to now.

 

I can't say exactly how long it'll be, but for reference I ordered a 66cm doll (with a face up) from Alice Collections on March 14th 2017 and he shipped out on June 4th, so my guess would be about 2 months or so? Based on previous posts in the thread, 2-2.5 months seems pretty standard for turnaround times.

Plus, I have to agree, the second version body is wonderful. That's the one I got, too!

Are any of the dolls insanely heavy? I considered purchasing the ResinSoul Yi 72cm body but after hearing about how heavy he was I decided against him. I am looking at Akagi's 72cm new version body now and am just hoping he weighs less.

 

So what's the difference between a 66cm body version 1 and a version 2? Is there much of a difference?

 

I have just come onto this thread to try and find out just the same thing! The version one body looks to suit my hybrid more but if the version 2 has improved posing then I would be swayed!

 

In the spring Ban's head came to me, and only recently I made him a make-up. And before that, I change the shape of nose, it narrow in the nose bridge, and I changed shape of the nostrils. It became more accurate and short. And I made more elegant lips and slightly opened he’ mouth)))
I already picked up this hair for the future wig. They are very fit for him))
He does not have a body yet, in the process of choosing)))

Hello everyone! I have a question. I just got a Ban head Through AC. He was in the in stock tab and only 25 bucks so I got him as a practice head. that being said he didn't come with a CoA? do they usually not or do I need to see about getting one? I dont plan on selling him ever, and I do know he is real since I got him through AC, but it would be nice to have just in case. I do apologize if this isnt the place ask. I just thought owners would know best about the policies.

 

I do not remember anymore, it seems the head came to me without a CoA, but they are not falsified, and the head has an original plate. I do not think that there is a problem of it selling)

Does anyone know the color difference between Akagi’s normal skin and Doll Leaves’ normal skin? I’m looking for a partner doll to my normal skin DL boy (who’s on the way), but his partner is a bit more tan than him.

 

I finally got my boy's 66cm body in and I simply adore my Rowan. He's a green witch
But I do have a question for anyone that swings by or sees this.

Are there any jointed hands that fit the body? I'd looked at Resinsoul (since they give fairly exact measurements) and neither of their 1/3 hands seemed to match the measurements.

Anyone have a Dollshe head in Oriental skin on the Akagi 72cm ver.II body (NS)? I'd love to see good daylight photos.

 

Does anyone know how well a Switch Waseon, Milhwa, or Huisa (not direction) would fit on either of the 66cm bodies?

 

Well, I can answer my own question now. I ordered the version 1 body in white, and the version 2 body in normal, and the heads fit on both of them. Although I feel Waseon's head works better on the version 1 body with it's wider shoulders, and Huisa, and Milhwa work better on the version 2 body because the shoulders are narrower, and they have smaller heads compared to Waseon. I do wish the necks were a little longer. All of the heads sit rather far down on the neck of both bodies, so I'll probably need to get some type of neck piece or extender.

In terms of resin match my Waseon in rosy white (although after receiving my Huisa, and Milhwa also in rosy white I think Switch might have sent me a Waseon in their old white) is about a 95% match to Akagi white. My Huisa, and Milhwa however, are far to pink to match Akagi's white, and to light to match their normal which is a darker peach color.

 

I had this issue with a recent doll (different company), ended up just fixing it with a big buffer of hot glue. It turned out that I needed to fill in up to just slightly past flush with the neck sculpting of the head. I figure that would help quicker than waiting for a piece for the neck/head.

 

@Peneyofdeath I was thinking of just making a piece out of epoxy. I did it once before as a test with another body, and it turned out pretty well. But, thanks for the suggestion. Did you make it as a separate piece or was it similar to sueding joints with hot glue?

 

I did it just like I would hot suede a joint. So double duty, now I don't have to suede her neck xD

 

I was curious if anyone here had any of the 3 1/3 girl sculpts (but especially April or Bertha) and would share pics of them? I've not seen a single owner photo of any of the girls, and when I asked Alice's Collection for pictures of the body they come on and blank head pictures, Akagi only gave them the body pictures and said they didn't have blank head photos.
