Aileen Doll Tiny discussion part 2

I suppose on the bright side they didn't up the price on V3 despite all the added joints. Looks like I will either be waiting for another version or trying to find a 2nd hand version 2.

 

Editing my post as I was looking at AileenDoll's photos of the new body again today and have to admit it's grown on me! I do wish the Ver. 2 dragons were still available as another option, but it'll be interesting to see what poses and expressions people can get from the extra jointing in the Ver. 3's wings and legs.

Also wanted to add that the painting on these new dragons is gorgeous as ever.

I have a friend in the hobby, who has a few Pico Dragons lying around and they agreed to sell me one.
So I am getting an Aileen Doll Pico Dragon Rot 03 white edition next time we meet. So excited. They are beyond cute!

Hey everyone, just popping in to say that the new Little Dragon line has been deemed on-topic!!!! YAAAAAAY!!!! This is identical joint by joint to the V.2. Dragon body but in isty bisty teenie tiny size



I am so considering breaking my "no more dragons" rule and getting one without faceup for my own collection. The pink is cute but I think this one would look amazing in gold and silver accents! Is anyone planing to get one too?

Petite Ashes is so cute in pink and white. I want one. Buy why, oh why, does Aileen Doll always debut a new dragon when I am fresh out of doll funds? I'll have to content myself with repainting my little gray Pico Ashes.

So the Picos are still off the table. I wondered about that seeing as some of their parts attach with magnets. Well, color me not buying Petites. I'm still out of doll money.

Yes! Sadly, Picos are off topic due to their legs not being strung + low number on joints. On the other hand, Little Dragon is exactly as the big ones! Here is a comparison between Pico Ashes and Little Ashes, they are almost the same size, but the Little one has more joints and more mature proportions!

Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve checked on AileenDoll and wow, much has changed! Which dragons are off-topic? I can see pico are off-topic, but are there any others? Are there usual times when the dragons are released? So much to catch up on!

I hope it’s ok to post my dragon, Cinder. We recently took a trip to a lake and had some fun.

 

Hey Aiko! Pico Dragons and Classic Lapis (and PlaPico) are off topic due to not enough joints, the rest of them are on topic!

Releases vary from time to time, there is no set schedule. We just released the kittens and their second preorder reopens this saturday (off topic). And next we will be releasing some more non-draconid resin!

Cinder is so adorable, and she looks so happy in the outdoors, I hope you both enjoyed your trip to the lake

Hey everyone, hoping to give this thread a little bump! I have been in and out of the hobby for the last few years but just (completely on impulse) bought a little ashes off the mp and now I'm falling hard for these dragons! The little dragon size is very appealing to me, plus I love the photos of dragons traveling around and seeing the sights. I'm stalking the aileendolls websites but nearly everything looks sold out, hopefully there will be more dragon events in the future?? Can anyone share dragon spam and wisdom to tide me over until mine arrives? I'm already expecting he will want a horde of gold and jewels and I'm not sure I have enough shinies in the whole house to appease him...

Does anyone know what happened to Aileen Doll? I went to their website and appears the domain had expired/not renewed? It's been like that for a few days from what I can see, so I'm not sure if they closed or not? They haven't released much in the way of dolls lately, so I've been trying to scoop up their cute dragons second hand.

 

They still exist. they just haven't refreshed their aillendoll.com page - their shop is here: Aileen Doll

the thing is - they were supposed to release the tiny jointed trouble somes (Rot's scale) with different heads from June to September, and they only did the first release, so... maybe something is going on?

I ordered in May 2022. Still haven't received anything. Their main site, which you can only find through that link, hasn't been updated. They have not answered the Q&A board. Meanwhile they're updating their blog and the Korean website and Doll has, in hand, items that were released well after I placed my order. If they're not selling overseas anymore, fine, but they need to refund and communicate with those of us who still have outstanding orders. Problem is I cannot get in contact with them.

 

You could try to get in contact with the person behind Aileendoll Europe, they were an official dealer for them - maybe they have another way of getting in contact with them?

Second, I have come to officially coment on AileenDoll's International site closure. As some of you have noted, the international site no longer works. Due to fluctuating shipping fees, the team in Korea has decided to stop selling outside of Korea and Japan. This is not to say AileenDoll will never resume international sales! If things pick up or there is a lot of interest for one of the new releases I will liaise with them and consider options.

All orders before the international site closure have been fullfiled or refunds have been sent. We apologise for any worry we may have caused you (we are happy to report everyone is in good health!).

AileenDoll Europe is still dealing through our website with our last stock (PlaPico and Krakens). You can always reach me through e-mail or even our instagram (I apologise if I may be slow in replying, this last year of PhD studies is slowly draining my body and soul).

Hey all! I thought I'd drop a little ray of positivity for my fellow dragon lovers here. I got in contact with Aileen Doll on the Q&A board of their site and was able to get some news. I've been buying their dragons since Rot v.1 came out back in 2012, and let them know that I had been a customer since that time. I told them how sad I was to hear that they were going through some tough times and asked if there was any way customers from their old sites might be able to buy through their Korean site. This was the reply they kindly sent back. (I added some bold for emphasis.)

The Migidoll site is unfortunately already sold out of both versions of the Angel Seed, but I thought you guys would like to know that all hope is not lost for us international collectors!

Do we think the new Seed’s Scale Kindergarten dolls will be on topic? All strung with replaceable eyes but no ankles or wrists joints.

 

I'm thinking they're not due to lack of necessary joints...you can ask the mods to make sure.

Thank you! There are a lot more artists open to painting fantasy sculpts these days than there were back then! I’m very fortunate that the artist I was eyeing has accepted my commission for this little lady!

 

I had no idea that Aileendoll made quadrupedal dragons! Does anyone have a list of which ones they’ve made? So far I’ve seen onyx and lapis, but am very curious if they made any more.

 

I think the four legged dragons are a new model. I've followed Aileen doll for quite a few years and have not seen them until recently.

 

Yes, those are the only 2 they've made so far. They're still working on the design, so there's a good chance they'll make others down the line

 

So stunning!!! Those horns are so angelic and the eyes match so well. I know you plan on painting them but honestly to me they already are beautiful as an albino dragon
