Resin Comparison AiL Alice in Labyrinth Resin Match

Please, help! How match AiL Bertram head with Limhwa mano body?

 

Ok, I'd love to make a short boy (under 58cm) out of the sleeping Alice head and a tall one (over 60cm) with the Chloe mold. I don't have an issue if I'd have to mod a girl body for the Alice but I'm worried about head proportion with both. The resin match doesn't have to be perfect, I'm willing to blush with a fury.

Any suggestions appreciated, I'd love to jump on the sale!

 

I'd like to put in another request for AIL/Iplehouse combinations. I have a feeling the NS wouldn't match (I hope it will), and I wonder about a match between the WS of both companies? I feel like I'm grasping for straws, but I really really love the EID girl body.

 

I have a NS Bertram I can test against my friend's normal skin Freezia, if you want, but I have no idea about white skin.

 

I would love it if you would. Really. I've fallen pretty hard for that body, and want to match it to an AIL head, if at all possible.

If you could take a photo, so I can see the difference between the resin, even if they don't match at all, I would be really grateful, too.

 

It's not a 100% match but I think it could be fixed with blushing without too difficult of a time because it's quite close. The Iple resin is more red/pink compared to AiL normal which is more yellow/pale.

EDIT:

The difference in color doesn't show up very much at ALL in my photograph but I assure there is one.

 

Thankyou! The photo is just fine; the difference shows up pretty clearly to me, especially in the shadows on the foot. I think I'll be able to live with that difference, especially if I blush the head.

Does anyone know if ws AIL will match with ws Dollndoll?

 

Does somebody know if AiL matches any glorydoll resin? And if the head is not to big. I really want to have a Chloe on a glorydoll girl body. thank you~

 

Myabe the angell-studio body could works?As comes in french resins too maybe you can get a good match color ^^

This is my big concern about AIL head on Angell Studio body,imo the neck is too thick...

 

Bertram looks really nice on the Super Senior Delf body and luts matches AiL resin pretty well. If I can get some pictures before I give the body back to it's owner, I will post them here.

 

The resin match looks particularly awful here because the sealant on my Bertram has yellowed and this particular batch of realskin is pretty pink. I think the proportion is really nice though, and blushing to match wouldn't be too difficult.

 

UHm good shots,usually the french resin tends to yellowed very easily.
But imo the neck is too thin..so at this point i will try with a solid pink body from Angell Studio.

 

The pink body from Angell Studio will be too pink. I liked the Bertram head on my AS WS male body it was a pretty good match. AiL doesn' t use French Resin. I must have misunderstood your comment.

 

I'm just learning about these types of dolls, but I find the pictures here and progression so amazing!

 

As far as i know according on what i've read on AIL web site the ail heads are made in french resin...Infact the other heads i own are made in a completely different resin from the resin of AIL heads.

 

My bertram head is definitely *not* french resin. And it's not the resin that has yellowed but the spray I used to seal his faceup.

 

My sleeping Alice arrived today!

AIL ws is a perfect match with Dollndoll ws.
Maybe there is a slight difference but hard to notice.





Her head is a bit big for the body but I don't mind.
(oh btw her body is in pieces because I was sanding the seamlines.)

 

Till 2008 summer on ail web site it's stated that the heads are made in french resin..don't know what else to say..

 

Ok guys just checek on the AIl thread with their agent and i was wrong completely:
AIL made its own heads in japanese resins,so i was wrong ^^

 

I would love to know what body you decided on/found for your Bertram!!

Also I would love to request nude pics of bodies, not just heads on necks

This is my dilemma: I want to get a Bertram head in natural and a
Alice head in white. They both should appear pre-teen age Alice being
10 Bertram 12-13ish I already figured I might have to mod the bodies
to suit the age so I'm more concerned with resin matches.

Dollstown resin still matches AIL White & Natural? Would that be
DT Paleskin for AIL White & Feshskin for AIL Natural?
I would really appreciate comparison pics of AIL heads on dollstown
15boy & 13girl bodies. Even better would be side by side pics!!

Newb question! Volks FCS is the only way to get their WS?

I saw in another thread that this is DT Orientalskin...
but I just found a FS Thread showing what the seller
says is Orientalskin next to a Volks and it's definitely not a match
which since (I thought/heard) that AIL is supposed to match Volks perfectly
so.....I'm unpleasantly confused!

Can you tell me what the difference is of regular Volks bodies
and FCS bodies? I'm a complete Volks newb too lol

 

the only difference is that you have to go into the volks store to order fcs (which stands for full choice system). This means that you can choose other colours. I think the only colour you can buy on line is normal skin, but you have to buy a whole doll. FCS is not avaialable on line

 

Does anyone have the heads on in the White skin and what bodies match the best with the white skin?

I really need to see an AIL Bertram head on a Dolltown15 body.

Resin match is close to perfect, and I love the proportions.

I don't have pictures yet, but I just put my AiL head on an IMPL Star body. My Christopher head is out for a face up and I borrowed the body just so my poor floating head got some time with limbs.... to my huge surprise it isn't that awful. This was under normal light in my doll room so I haven't looked at it in natural sunlight. But I was thinking that with some blushing, it might not be too bad. I have some folks from my local forum coming over this weekend and I will ask their opinion and get some pictures. Also, I have my Bertran head (painted as a lovely girl) on an Angel of Dream body and it works really well. I picked the yellow skin. I actually bought the body for a different project, but it worked so she is keeping it for now. I will try to get pictures of that one as well.

I just ordered Ail Elijah from Wind Doll with face-up. Now I just need a body about 60-63 cm. But the body need look very soft, feminine and slim like like the body of an Japanese rock guy.

Anyone have any suggestion to what body that might be. And matching skincolor is important.

OMGosh I can`t wait to get my Ail Elijah home. He is my dream bjd boy I have never had a doll with a open smile. It`s gonna be so fun

You are correct Bridget. Volks standards only come in NS. You can only get WS through FCS and from their LE dolls. One warning if you buy a LE BW doll it is a different color resin then the WS FCS. I bought a SWD beauty white Nana and the resin is more like yellow cream. Volks uses a different color resin for their LE dolls. So if you buy a LE body it will not match at all. You must buy a FCS body either second hand from the MP or from the Volks store.
I did get a new Alice painted by Sdink, you can see her in my avatar. She is a WS head and a Masha WS body. The body is a little yellower than the head but you cannot tell because her entire body is painted. Photos soon as the weather clears. You can to to her Live Journal and see photos of her by Sdink.

I have now pretty much decided to get my Elijah a DT15 body. I am not very pleased with the Minimee body even though the resin match is perfect. There is so many other things I don`t like about the Minimee bodies

 

Volks SD13 boy body. Where can I find pictures of the body. And how tall is the body. I want to take a look at the Volks SD13 boy body as well before I decide for what body to get Elijah.

I have an AIL Heyley head and I want to get her a Dollstown body but I'm not sure what size to get, a DT13 or a DT15. Does anyone have pics of an AIL girl head in this two bodies? Thank you very much!

 

Um I am unsure if it is just my camers that makes the pictures look like this or if it is that I have chosen the wrong resin color...



Um yeah, romance picture. I just took one picture. My Ail is the black haired one. He is on a DT15 freshskin body. And I am starting to wonder if I chose the wrong color. I have a feeling I should have taken oriental skin for his body.

 

Oh thank you for replying to my post. I love my Elijah very much and am very sad to see him with this a big missmatch on the resin color. To decide what I gotta do now, I guess I should try to find some people owning Ail heads on DG bodies. Hear with them how they like the DG bodies etc. Or maybe a DT15 body in orientalskin could work if I got the body blushed a bit.

I am not giving up. People have Ail dolls, so there must be at least one body out there good enough. I don`t mind if it have to be blushed a bit to match the head better. I don`t know how it will work to blush that DT15 freshskin body that I have.

When I visited the Alice in Labyrinth site i saw in the description of the Ail heads, ( The color of head matches with our own SD body(PS Fresh Skin, made in June 2007), but depending on the body's condition or manufacturing lot, there could have a little color difference.

With they`re own SD bodies?? Can you buy bodies from the Alice in Labyrinth company? I don`t see any option to buy one. And I have not seen any Ail owners haveing these bodies.

 

On the AiL site, there is a link for "Doll" which is their msd sized girl that they sculpted a body for. It's only a girl body and only in msd size which is why you don't see many of them.

 

OK so I took some new pictures with my brothers camera.

This is how he looks with blitz. All pictures is taken at night. I will take some pictures at day time to, to see the differenses. How the resin color looks on the pictures might have something to do with when on the day it is taken. And maybe part og the problem have something to do with how the dollcompany I bought him from blushed his face. His face you can see looks way more alive than the body without any bobyblushing. If I could get his whole body blushed to look wery realistic and alive. Then maybe that could solve some of the problems.
