Helene, can you tell me the circumference of Bertram's neck please? I'm thinking about what body gonna be right for him. Does they have one skin colour only? Thank you

 

His neckhole is approx 8 cm in circumference. He fits in a Volks SD13 neck quite wonderfully. They also only produce normal skin tone at the moment.

 

I've put my Bertram head on Volks SD13 body. The resin match and proportion is perfect. The head is a only bit paler for my eyes but is unnoticeable in the photos.

volks match is very good as people have reported.

my alice (lennox) is on an older luts mature body, and although the match wasn't perfect, by the time she got her faceup, the added bit of color in her faceup REALLY helped a lot and I think she looks awesome.

old customhouse is also a VERY excellent match, and if you're making a girl, the smaller boobs and everything were just LOVELY with the proportions of the Alice head.

this pic below was taken in natural light. I think you can see that the resin match isn't perfect, but it's pretty good - my alice's faceup is deeper in color than Lolly's, which is why, I think, that my head matches better than hers did when we frankendollied the other week at her house.

I had acquired a lishe body for nothing so I was really hopeful/determined to make it work. I like her on this body, she can keep it. But I still think she looks awesome on old customhouse....

 

Will the AiL boys be a good match with the newer Souldoll Double Jointed Body? Has anybody tried this out n_n?

This is what Luts calls their "real skin"...right? Im guessing that maybe the female senior Luts body would fit my Alice head???
Anyone have any more pictures of a luts senior body with an AIL head?

 

I have ordered two AiL heads, Alice and Daryl,
I have scoured the boards about suitable bodies for these heads and everyone seems to think differently, especially on wether Daryl is yo-sd or Msd (the artist says yo-sd) but would prefer smaller msd due to head size.

Volks pureskin seems to come out as a good match according to some and then lati,old customhouse,domuya and angel region.
I am really new to this hobby and have no idea of body proportions,ages of bodies (young,mature etc)

I really dont want to pay out a lot of money for these two bodies if I can help it, I have paid enough for the heads and the face ups.I dont mind if they are not of the highest quality. I just want the right proportions and a pretty good resin match.
Alice head is 22cm and Daryl is 17-5cm, for her I would prefer a teenage body if thats a possibility,

The Alice head is for a 60cm body

The Daryl head is for a 20cm body (they suggested YoSD to someone)

Judging by the photos on SD bodies, the Alice head is too large for a mini body.

Daryl is shown on a Petite AI body - Daryl might work on a mini body - hard to tell. Do you know th head circumference? If 6-inch or less it might be hard to get it to work on even a petite slim mini body. If 6.5 that that would be Unoa/Narae size.

Hey Carolyn , thanks for all the really helpful links and tips there.
I really dont think I'll have too much problem on the Alice head, apart from resin matches as I really cant afford to pay out for the volks pureskin whih seems to be the favourite.
Although it seems that folks have found a good match for their Daryl with the junior leila body or the Lati Green, too me the head still doesnt look in proportion, and at 8 ins it is a large head for a mini body in my opinion.
I have placed Daryl head on my Narae 43 and it looks ridiculously small.so not an msd, but to me not really a yo-sd either, really need something inbetween, but the neckhole at 6cm kinda limits what body can be used.
I really should have looked into all this before I bought Daryl but I wanted Alice for a long time and living in the UK, I thought I'd save on postage and order them both together, but it does look as if I'll be selling Daryl if I cant find a body that looks in some way convincing and fits in with the neck limitations.

frozen wings -> these heads are HUUUGE, I don't believe they would match CP ^^; (I've only held one though, I don't own one). I think they are meant to fit Volks SD13s.

 

The heads fit really well on Senior Delf and the match is really good as well ^_^

Bumping! I am trying to get a hold of Elijah and Alice, and would like to know what bodies will fit, less expensive than Volks. Preferably bodies with a wider neck and smaller breasts. I think I saw someone using a minimee body for AIL boys?

 

I have been eagerly watching this thread for a long while whilst my poor Daryl still doesnt have a body. Maybe no one has this head or maybe no one has found a body that works?.
So far the only perfect match is minoruworld junior leila blossom body, but this is not for sale as body only,have emailed the site. and no results in marketplace.
Please ,any who knows of a good match, speak up, it seems quite a few of us are eager to know.

Ravnsvart I bought a Volks SD10 pureskin in the marketplace for my Alice, it hasnt arrived yet, but other members have reported a great resin match and proportion wise its good.

At the moment, its not so much the resin match thats bothering me its the size, proportion wise, for Daryl.The artist recommends a volks yo-sd body, but to me, looking at the AiL site pictures, the head looks too big in relation to the shoulders.
I think Daryl needs a junior body, but the ones I have found, CH little junior Ai and Minoruworld Junior Leila blossom arent willing to sell the bodies seperately.The neck on the Ch body will be too big but I'm sure that can be modified.
Have tried Daryl on Dof C body and although Resin match is acceptable, body is too big.
No problems with Alice, have her on a volks PS SD10 body.
Do elfdoll do a junior body, must look..
Need around a 33-35cm height with a least 6,6-5cm shoulders.

Sd10 volks body goodmatch as someone said, but I'd like to had that the neck is a little weird, wich makes the neck movement a bit strange, I had to sand it, and I will probably do it somemore because as you can see on this picture, it's still a little strange. Other than that I LOVE the body proportions it looks lovely with alice!

Does anyone know if the Alice head on a Junior Ai would look proportional?

 

Ive had this problem for quite some time as you can see by my earlier posts, but at last Ive got my two heads a body each.
Ive got Alice on a volks SD10 pureskin body and the resin match is perfect, I like the proportions better than the SD13 as my vision of Alice is a teenage girl rather than a more mature body.
Daryl was a lot harder to fix up, but I solved it eventually with a Minoruworld Junior Leila body, perfect proportions, you have to buy the body unassembled , but its really easy to string.

Lennox now has an elfdoll small bust body -- and the match is REALLY quite good.

The volks neck seems just a tidge thick to me, which is why I like this better. Customhouse OLD RESIN still seems best as far as ALL aesthetics are concerned - match, fit of neck, length of neck, etc., but I REALLY like Lennox on this body and I'm thrilled to have it for her. She will stay on this one. Me Lovey.

How about Alice on a Bluefairy blossom body? How does the resin compare?

 

I think the proportions would be VERY off - AiL heads are SD sized, bluefairy, MSD. I think it would look very strange indeed.

Rather curious now about realskin luts, too! I only had older luts pics to share.

 

Luts Senior Delf matches my Alice head almost perfectly!

 

I have yet another question. Does anyone know how the Dollga body and resin would look with AiL?

Actually, I think I found my answer. I was confused because pureskin Volks seems to match Dollga, but AiL matches oldskin Volks.

My Daryl head is here and her name is Darian, btw, and for now I have her on a CH Gabriel the match is fairly good, but the neck is too large so that she is always looking downward. : ) The mold is lovely and her faceup by SDink is exquisite.

Also, does anyone know if the resin match for AIL could also match Iplehouse Tania? TIA

 

My Elijah head just arrived today. And I bought a white skin. The colour is really beautiful! *O* It's very white and a little grey.

I have a CP and a white skin Fantasy doll body here and the resin match is horrible. I really need to find a body that is not yellow white. D8 I hope I can find a pretty body for him that matches.

 

Show me your Alice in Labyrinth girls with different faceups, or different hair, or (PLEASE) on a DoT body!

Good overall proportion, resin match is not exactly 100% but can't see the difference under strong lighting. AiL's resin is a tinge more brownish in hue while LUTS real skin is yellow.

 

I have my Bertram on a super gem body, will take pictures of it soon. But the match is almost 100% ^^

Also where is everyone getting their heads? On the AiL site. I noticed there are no US$ prices. Can they be ordered in the US or is their a US site I missed? I didn't see a rate sheet to figure out us costs. Plus it looks like they charge paypal fees? Correct me if I am wrong.

Alice In Labyrinth is located in Japan, I ordered my AIL Daryl head directly from them, in Japan.

AIL WEBSITE​

You send an email, stating exactly which head you would like (they only sell blank heads) they then send you the cost in YEN, to include shipping and payment fees. The order is made through an email to them.

You must pay in YEN, you can do a conversion on Google to USD to see how much the Yen to Dollar converts, however, it changes sometimes daily.

If you decide to order, Paypal will convert your dollars when you choose the Yen payment method. In fact it was very easy to pay.

The folks at AIL are super nice to deal with and I had my Darian in just a little over a week from the time I paid, but she was apparently in stock.

Here she is on a Customhouse Gabriel body (I am still shopping for a body for her) with a faceup by SDink.

Sorry, I can't help you with the white resin match, both of mine (Bertram and Daryl) are normal skin.

I think the head resin matches perfectly with Volks resin.
The body is a FCS white skin type.
The AiL head is slightly more pale.
But as you can see this difference is nearly invisible.
I think when she'll have her cheeks painted this difference will completly disappear.

I hope it can be useful.

Has anyone compaired Musedolls WS with Volks? Since Volks is such a perfect match if it matches Musedolls then you know at least the resins match. Although I don't know about proportions. Does anyone own a WS Volks and WS Musedoll to compare and photograph.

 

Here are Daryl and Darren, two Daryl heads on Narsha bodies. The bodies are pinker than the faces, but I love the Narsha body. (Darren's faceup by Jay..not sure about Daryl. she was adopted.)

I find the mold can look bobble headed a bit sometimes on girl bodies... Anyone have any ideas of a more proportionate body mold?
