aGatti Doll - part 2

Natalia wrote on our Russian forum that in the picture are the last remnants of the mCC preorder she received from the caster yesterday.
Maybe the bottom left doll is yours? It can be color N3. Or maybe she received your order from the caster earlier and busy with drilling and assembling parts into the whole dolls.

I can see a set of light horns in the top left corner of that picture. I think they should belong to my doll...

 

that would be great! maybe we will have dolly christmas than! or two corpses and some heads under the tree in my case XD Alfarr and Edmund going straight to the face up artist as she lives in moscow. But i can sew clothes while waiting. i gathered some very nice fabrics for them while waiting

 

@Uminari i remember reading here Natalia needs about a month to assemble dolls after they arrived from the caster. But there's some hope to get our order this year, i suppose.

I can think of reducing some of my larger doll patterns and trying to sew some clothes without a doll. Or maybe it's reasonable just to forget about these dolls till they arrive.

 

i just got an e-mail from her that my dolls are with her and she asked for adresses.

Maybe make some clothes that are wide like those "poet shirts" (are these called like this?). I mean this historic one the people wore for ages. but she has very detailed measurements on her flickr so maybe normal clothes are possible to sew without the doll too

I usually don't sew without a doll. But if speaking of some wide pants and knit tee I think it's possible to make something decent.

 

I got another mail and my order were shipped on monday! I´m totally excited even it´s not tthe full order because Alfarr and Edmund were send to the fu artist but she is usually very fast and they should be home in january (russian post is not fast)

I received a shipping notice too! My Guarvo Deer and Guarvo human head will arrive within a week I suppose.

 

wohooooooo I looking forward to see all the new faces (and maybe some life in this thread XD). Do you already have plans for your Guarvos?

 

I may have plans but usually I have very small time for my dolls. For example I have Anna for more than a year and she's still wigless. But I hope I'll paint both Guarvo heads soon.

I have a Guarvo deer head! I managed to nab the spare one, which is in No 2, so matches both my extant bodies. I bought on a whim, but not least because I have a mild but lifelong obsession with Herne. But, wow. What a wonderful thing! I will see if I can dig out a camera and doll body from the boxes that are still unpacked after my house move and take a couple of photos. I am going to very much enjoy painting this one.

 

@MadamMauMau congrats on having such an interesting head in your collection! It would be great to see your pictures again!

 

Question about shoes...my MCC guy desires a pair of sneakers. Converse, vans, etc, etc. I looked at the sneakers available from dollmansion on eBay, but all the sizes seem either too small or too large. Any suggestions?

SD13? I know a couple of my sd13 girl tops fit my guy well, but SO MANY RUFFLES...he glares at me

 

<smiles> My Guarvo is on his way. I'm not sure that we can count on December delivery folks - at least not those of us in the USA. The dolls typically sit in the Russian post office for three or four weeks before they start on their weary way to us.

 

My Edmund arrived Nov 13. He's a cutie with a great smile. I have been neglecting my dolls lately.

 

@Therealwalter congrats on your Edmund! He's very handsome and looks quite good on an mCC body. It's just me or he has larger eyes than other aGatti men?

 

The Dollmansion SD female shoes fit perfectly. These have a 7.5cm inner and are narrow enough not to look like boats. I changed the laces, as they were out of scale. Other than that, they are spot on.

 

The eye wells are the same size but he has a more open innocent expression.

 

@Therealwalter did you try on him the eyes he arrived with? They are new eyes do they fit ok?

Edmund with his eyes that came with him which are a lovely green as I requested.

 

They are beautiful. Does anyone know who is making the current eyes? I did ask Natalia, but it was amongst other questions and I didn't get an answer.

my heads arrived the artist safe and sound and the bodys with more heads hit the export centrum. I´m very excited! To bad i have no body for my Edmund head and the seccond body i got goes to an unpainted head u.u have to send him in january

Guarvo has left Natalia's hands and is now at the mercy of the Russian post office. I'm pulling for the end of the year - but not totally optimistic here!

 

Has there been any news about the Dwarves?

 

@MB Lilac aGatti is still busy with the dolls from the previous preorder for mCC body. It was before the Dwarves. She finishes shipping the last mCC dolls I suppose. I think the Dwarves are not casted yet. She usually shows pictures on her Flickr when some batch of dolls arrives from the caster.

My Guarvo and his additional deer head arrived today! I'm very happy with them. New box is beautiful and comfy, all was packed securely. Natalia gave him a nice pair of boxers as a present, which came in very useful. New eyes are beautiful, but I didn't try them yet. I really like Guarvo-deer's horns, they are realistic, smooth and well constructed, they have stoppers. Guarvo-deer has an adorable nose. Guarvo-human is... you know

i picked the bigger part of my agatti order from custom today and i´m not happy. she send me a body in a wrong colour.. everything is undamaged luckily and the boots i got my Santino fits but meh. Now my Guarvo have a body but not my Alfarr Q_Q (<- grail doll)

ok we had some mails and it turned out that the mistake was on my side. i ordered in the first mail him in no but somewhere between all those confirmation mails i typed 1 instead of 2.

 

My dwarf has been dispatched from Russia on 9th January - I'm in UK - so we'll have to see how long he takes.

 

Mine is on the way too. I'm in Canada, and last time the wait wasn't too bad - just 11 days

My Vakhmurddarr arrived yesterday. I was surprised that he has magnetic hands. I've never had a doll with magnetic hands before. One thing for sure, it will definitely make it easier to make his costume fit nicer on the arms. No wide sleeve openings or snaps to accommodate the hands. Should be interesting.

 

My dwarf (both faces in No.3) shipped today. So excited!

 

...and he arrived yesterday! I have houseguests right now but I'll post pics if anyone is interested once I get some down time.

Guests are gone so I took a few quick and dirty comparison photos! I got Morterradd to be a companion for my Dollshe Fashion Grant Phillippe (who is on the L1 Pose body) and I think they look absolutely fantastic together.



He's really just shorter in the legs and arms, so the scale for being a dwarf is fantastic. I would probably liken his torso size to an Iplehouse JID, so maybe their size shirt will fit with some hemming on the arm length. I got resin No.3, and the colour is nice (I think my Grant Phillippe is Oriental for comparison...though the photos wash him out a bit).

My ONLY complaint about the dwarf after some handling: his knee joints do no lock what so ever, so he's already taken a good tumble. I think some hot glue sueding will fix that right up though.

Overall I'm really happy with him though!! I can't wait to get him painted up and make some clothes.

Been meaning to post a picture of these two for a while: they are a Guarvo Deer in dark gray and a regular Guarvo in #2.
Arrived in January, after leisurely vacationing in the New York Customs department , for the whole month of December (and then some!) .

They left Natalya in late November, and showed up on my doorstep around the second week of January.

Go figure!!

 

I want the new female body and both new heads...

 

@Desdemona yes, there're two heads for the new body, Elizabeth (the girl in the picture mentioned above) and Ulrika (one with a long nose and full lips). Both heads can be seen at Natalia's Flickr. All three older female sculpts are compatible with the new body too. I don't know if older heads will be available to order with the new body though.
