Advillage/ Doll Village

I'm curious as well! I've been following them on Instagram, and their dolls are super adorable.

 

I found a website but I have not seen much about them either. The website has a bunch of social media links too. If you search the hashtag dollvillage on Instagram there are images from other users.

 

They have a fairly active FB page as well, but it seems mostly photos. They have an English website, and their prices seem in line with most other cast Yo-size dolls. Interesting. The number of sculpts available and that some are sold out makes it seem like they've been active for a while, not sure why there are no owner pictures.

EDIT: Ah, seems you can only order if you create a membership, but you can only log in after creating that membership when you receive an email with a login certificate. Which, after 20 minutes of waiting, I still haven't received. Inability to actually purchase would certainly be a stumbling block to having owner pictures.

 

Yes, it's a shame. I have one in my cart, but can't actually purchase it. Even two hours later, I haven't received this "certificate", so perhaps they're not actually conducting sales to the US yet. I've messaged them on FB, so we'll see what they say.

EDIT: Okay, I got an answer: "Our website payment system is under maintenance so please place your order through email: [email protected] thank you!" When I asked for an estimation of when it might be finished, they said it was uncertain and suggested ordering via email again.

Personally, I'm going to wait until their website is finished with maintenance because I've been burned in the past. I'm in no hurry, so I don't need to take the risk. YMMV

 

I also stumbled on A Doll Village through instagram, I think someone I follow owns some. They are SO precious, I love how they have a whole line of adorable vampires. (I'm even tempted by one of their MSD girls, but she has an SD size head! Drat.)

I also signed up for their website but never got any confirmation email. I ended up contacting them via facebook about layaways; They offer 3 month layaways, with 50% upfront and then 25% and 25% payments. Communication is a little rough/scarce via email, I don't think they have the best overseas/English translator? But I managed to place an order and get an emailed receipt. I did ask them to confirm they received my payment and they did, so that was nice. I think if I was in a hurry I might ask questions on their FB over their email.

The shipping directly from them was a staggering $72.00 USD though, so if I order from them again I might try asking CloverSinging if she can proxy for me, for my wallet and my commination anxiety. CloverSinging/Christina is great for proxy services btw, if anyone is seriously tempted- they have a Taobao so it shouldn't be an issue.

But aside from all that I'm madly in love with the sculpt I bought, sooo let's hope it all turns out alright! I bought the limited Half closed eyes Lola vampire in Tan (which was shockingly cheap, a mere 10$ extra.) with the vampire parts and some shoes. I apparently qualified for a gift pair of hands and a sleeping faceplate too (Which softened the sting of shipping a little lmao..)

I guess we'll see how it goes, I haven't seen much about their turnaround time so I can post again when I finish they ship her.

 

Bought dollvillge dolls before love the packaging , transaction went really well, very happy with purchase . My dolls came with a dolly bag and doll box. My favorite company for excellent packaging bec. I love the doll bag soo pretty

Hi all!

Since it seems difficult to purchase an Advillage doll via their website or through a proxy, I decided to message them on their Instagram account to see if they’re open to international sales, and they said yes! I sent them a link to the doll I wanted with face up & eyes, and they emailed me an invoice and told me to just pay via PayPal and give them my address. Finger’s crossed that this works. I’ll update you all in a few months when I (hopefully) receive my Lola!

 

@Sheyda yay!! Lola is so cute!! Was the instagram correspondence easy to communicate with and easy enough to pay for? I had a bit of stress doing it over email. Also, was your shipping quote upwards of 70$? I really want to order a few more small things but the shipping was brutal!! I was hoping a proxy would help cut that down. maybe it wouldn't be as bad without a doll box this time...

 

Yeah, it was really easy! They responded to me within 24hrs. They asked for my email address and emailed me the invoice, and told me to pay to specific PayPal account. I went to the PayPal site and paid there, took a screenshot of my payment and sent the image to them on Instagram to let them know I paid.

They did make a small mistake in forgetting to add eyes to my order, so they had to send me a second $40 invoice for that. But it was just a small hiccup. And yeah, shipping was a doozy. $84…

 

I received a 16cm Darling (Bebe?) SP Lala today that I got off Yahoo!Japan, not sure if she goes here? I need to get her stuff of her own, she needs to be a pink ball of cuteness

For those who ordered directly from Doll Village via email or Instagram, did they send you a notification and tracking code when your order was shipped?

I’m still waiting on my order from mid June, so I messaged their Instagram and they said, “It must be delivered within this month.” I’m a little confused, because I can’t tell if that means it was already shipped, or if they’ll ship it out this month?

 

I'm still waiting on my order from July. I didn't order direct though, I ordered through Jane (janesdolland). She was supposed to be shipped November, then delayed to December. Jane has been contacting them for updates periodically, and was suddenly told the body didn't pass QA. Last update (from the first week of January) is advillage said "several more weeks" for my order. So really hoping I get her before March.

I've been trying to get one of these dolls ordering via email and they confirmed the details 9 days ago. They were supposed to send me an invoice and I still haven't gotten it, I sent a follow up and it's been radio silence. Is this the norm? How long should I wait? The whole exchange is making me a bit nervous

 

I still don't have my doll. The last they told Jane was she should have it delivered to her probably March so, crossing my fingers it is true. I probably won't order again from them. I'd wait a couple more days then follow up with them again and just be prepared to wait way past their estimate if you really want the doll!

I'm sorry you have been waiting for so long, that is so stressful. especially with them still promising pretty short wait times on their website. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. I think I'll go with my gut and put this purchase on hold since they don't have my money yet.

 

Jane did receive my doll - but they sent the wrong gift head and forgot the painted ears. She has contacted them and they said they are going to correct the issues but oh man
One of the reasons I chose this specific doll was the ears so again lol

 

Oh man, what a bummer. After you waited so long, the wait begins again... I hope they'll be able to resolve it quickly.

 

An update.... they sent the correct gift head the beginning of May and forgot the painted ears again. I'm still waiting on the ears. Oof.

AD Village seems to be working with a few dealers now. I would guess or hope that they have gotten their ducks in a row by now, but I haven't tried to order yet
I'm tempted by them too.

 

For me they sent the incorrect event head twice to Jane, and the painted ears were rushed (they didn't let the paint/sealant dry all the way and wrapped them too quickly so they took on the texture of the wrap). So I did receive an event head but not the right one. I am so sad about the ears still. I would not order again from them. However I know of other people who had no issues at all. Not sure why I had all the bad luck

Their website isn't working right now, but I found clearly-written and categorised listings on DOLKBJD, which might help with communication issues. I haven't researched how reliable they are as a dealer, though.



They also have a slightly bigger 23cm version - Macca! There's a preorder for them as well.

If you’re not sure about Dolk as a dealer, Luts actually sells other brands of dolls and has Doll Village.

Dolk is a hit or miss dealer at best. They have a history of suddenly asking for more money for shipping before actually shipping your order even after you've already paid the shipping fee when you ordered. And they can take forever to ship...

They claim they have improved their shipping process but I still encountered the 'asking for more shipping fee' problem when I preordered some clothes from them last year. Plus, they got my address wrong even though I had confirmed it before shipping!!

Seems like they got a new website, anyone already ordered there? I am sceptical since several people seem to had communication issues.

They are in China but there are a couple dealers that sell their dolls if you don’t want to order direct, you can even order Doll Village from the Luts website.

Hey guys, does anyone know the production period for the dolls? I tried sending them an email through their website but they didn't get back to me ;-;

 

Depends on what doll you ordered. They usually say 60 days, but according to a bunch of instagram peeps I follow, that’s usually not correct. I‘ve heard anything from 1 to 6 months. Stock items usually get send out within those 60 days.

While on that topic, has anyone ordered from them recently? I bought an in stock head in June during an event on their website, and got a shipping notice on July 2. Since then, the shipping info hasn‘t updated. I am assuming it hasn‘t shipped yet, but they told me 2 times that it has lol. Their communication still isn’t the best.
We’ll see when it shows up, I suppose …

 

I ordered the vampire Nanuri (1/4) from their direct website 6/18/24. It’s only been two months so I assume it’ll take a bit longer, but I’ll update on the wait time when I get her!

Received my order placed 6/18/24 yesterday 9/30/24. So about three months and two weeks! I will say I didn’t get any email from the company that they were shipping. Just a text from DHL so I checked the website and saw she was in shipping. I’m waiting a few days to open her on my birthday so I can update on quality and what not then!

Vampire Nanuri! She poses amazingly, although both hands are in the same odd fist closed pinky curled position lol. I looked into getting alternate hands after she arrived and the company doesn’t have too many options yet lol

 

Just ordered a Vampire Lola via layaway!

I emailed them and they set up a listing on the site for a 50% payment.

 

I'm hoping to order a Mystic Vampire Lola in the coming days
I'm new though so going to hop over to newbie land to ask some questions.

 

She is ordered! The website is a little hit and miss though. I selected the make-up object but it kept taking it out of the total cost at checkout even though it was listed as in the basket.

She sent her with free eye chips do to the issue I mentioned I had with the checkout. I had to send the make-up money separately via paypal so she sent the eye chips as an apology for the fault. Very nice to deal with. Only took ~ 6 weeks to arrive, much faster than I was expecting.

Can't wait for her body to arrive now but thats from newcloversinging!

 

She is lovely, which skin color did you order? And would love to hear how the hybrid worked out color matching wise.

 

I ordered mine some years ago, and there was a little issue with the shipping. In the Chinese warehouse, they mixed the packages, and I got someone else's package with an iPhone inside Now I'm laughing about it, but that time I was a bit angry and disappointed, even tho it wasn't AdVillage's fault In the end, I sent back the phone, and I got my doll. She was very cute but I couldn't bond with her, unfortunately...maybe because of this accident
For me, it lasted 5-6 months to receive my doll (not because of this "accident"), but because I ordered my doll without a faceup, but then I realized I won't be able to do her faceup the way I want, so I asked a faceup, so they needed extra time to add that to their "to-do-list" and finish it. She is Vicky02 on a 33cm body

 

So the body from Clover Singing is "AS Milk" and her head from Doll Village "Rose White".

Generally, it's very hard to see the difference in tone due to shadows but close up and side on it is apparent.
