Look what I got!!! I am so happy to have him. He doesn't overshadow my Dia vampire but I've wanted Dia for sooooo long that I am happy dancing. A lovely friend sold him to me.
He came in today's mail.

i love their heads, but i hate sg body... especially the legs of the new body.. none of my sons can stand or sit well ;(

I don't think I ever posted in here, but I have one Soom doll though he is a hybrid, but I am also waiting for one Soom doll (Dia in brown tan) that I bought on layaway, so now I want to say hello to you all

I put my Bix and his claw arm on a Ringdoll RGM-4 body. I think the match is very good, and I think this body poses much better than the original body from Bix, or maybe I just don't know how to pose the old SG body I really like that this body makes Henry a little taller

 

Tenya is home! Chilling out in his WIP outfit with my YoSD Yuki, who is just so ridiculously tiny next to him (I mean...he's even dominating the poor couch, looks like I need to get him a bigger seating area).



Fibers for the wig aren't in yet, and I need to do a loooot of body blushing to him, but until the weather is consistently warm/dry, he'll stay "nude".

Oh my! I've always loved Bix and yours looks marvelous! A Ringdoll hybrid, you say? Now there's a way around not liking the new body

Unfortunately I don't have a proper hybrid picture to show, but I have a picture from when I first made the hybrid back in 2015.
.
Both body and head is NS, but the head is much older and yellowed more so the color match is not great, but I don't care, as I don't think it is too much.
Both the head and the arm fits very well onto the Ringdoll body and can move very freely and nicely.
The neck can look a little thin, but it doesn't bother me when he is dressed.

This is Dia on a Ringdoll teen body and he looks fine to me and the Soom Nephelin hands work wonderfully too.

@SteamWitch - love the pub! he looks so good. maybe add some slightly darker auburn hairs amidst the red?

 

It is nice to have a spot to take photos in but I do think I'll darken his eyebrows a bit, irl it looks fine but photos seem to capture it differently than my eyes do.

 

@Shiraya You are not crazy that you cant get the elbow to work--nancyshroeder was the one who showed me how they work, and it does work--but you have to have the arm strings either crazy loose to get enough slack to pull the peanut out completely and reset it, or string the arms with 2mm elastic. Bird is the only one of my newer 2012 sooms that will hold this pose with the pin in, because he is a noodle:


Sabby, the Soom Gneiss, can't do it at all-- I haven't taken out her default elastic or loosened her arms yet.

I would recommend restringing your Morga's arms with thinner elastic anyway if you have any trouble raising her arms at all--the thicker elastic binds up in the shoulder "tube" and you can crack the shoulder and the surrounding edge around the "ratchet" at the top of the arm, because the arm won't move and the natural reaction is to pull harder.
I have 3 girls I got cheaply because they have broken shoulders...nice for me but sad for the dolls when the fix was so easy. Thinner elastic can also make the C covers fit better and also prevent the "dangling hand" problem when the arm elastic is stuck in the forearm or elbow.

Thank you @nancy_schroeder_ca and @fishcake. I was so happy to get a Dia to be my redhaired boy, I'm waiting on some more red wigs so he will have some options other than the curls, but I do love those curls on him..

Omg! SOOM Super gem is up! WOLF!!.I really do love the romamtic head. Looks like they are offering the older body which is great!

@Tangmalangaloo I like the shorter height of the old body for this guy (though the promos show the taller, skinnier new body). The new body is a little harder to get to stand up and be stable than the old one, the center of gravity is slightly off (he tends to lean backwards). If you order the 2012 body be sure to get the "extra" thighs--best 20.00 you will ever spend. Makes posing and stringing 100% better.

Hmm for guys with a delicate face, I prefer a narrower back, like the one with the old body

 

It seems a lot of people prefer the older body so I'm unsure of which one to get now. My only experience with either of them was the older one without the mobility thigh piece and it was horrible at posing and standing. So I'm pretty worried with either choice.

Still going back and forth between Ender as a giant elf man or Wolf. God Soom, you have to stop making such pretty boys Q_Q

 

I have done it! I have pushed the "Buy!" button on Wolf. I am going to call him Meow as in "Cat's Meow".

I ordered him in whiteskin with the R.head and the elegance hands and the high heel shoes.

He is my first new big soom (from the company) since 2008!

 

We can't have the red wig. Sooms says so. It was a red herring. Or someone's stupid idea. 'hey, let's use the cool wig but offer the one everyone already has.'

I'm trying to buy the elegance hands, feet, shoes, some eyes using my points, but it won't let me. I hope someone in QA can help.
White Rabbit wants to spice up his stage performances. he loves to keep his audiences guessing. those hands are gorgeous!

I ordered Wolf and did use some points. The points were less than half of the shipping! Perhaps there is a limit of how many points you can use relative to the order total.

Perhaps they used the wig in the photos and then found they couldn't get more.

 

Im getting Wolf too!! The basic head is growing on me. I already have a Hyperon with sleepy eyes and so I needed one with open eyes. No body brushing for me but the elegant hands will be brushed.

Which body did you guys ordered? I hope the 2012 body will look great on him and not childish..I don't want his character to be a boy but someone in the 20's.

I asked Soom and they said the earrings are not included.... can human earrings work on him? I need to get one of mum's fake diamond earrings for him. Snd I need a ring - diamond rings for him too!

I thought about saving up for a bjd hands later.. but I think the elegant hands would best suit him best of brushing.

 

I was planning to get the ID Ender blue wig for my Wolf but the sale was clised...
Tgats okay.. I think a pepermint blue hair will liok nice on jim... if you really want a wig sane as the sale page you can get a long female wig and cut it.. but that red wig gives him so much personality.. like in Alice in Wonderland.

 

@cat... you need the heels inorder to fit the high heel shoes.

hi, Nancy. all points should be usable. I think a soom person might have to do it manually. I've used points to make my first layaway for a fullset doll but someone had to tweak the system.
congrats on getting him. he's so chic. did you gat the 2016 bod?

 

I ordered him in NS with the 2016 body. I'm sure the 2012 body will be fine with him. I just like variety and wanted a 2016 body!
