[Adopted] Ringdoll Grown Dolls, thread #5

@Quiet and Insane Bummer about the agent. I guess I won't go look, don't want to tease myself.

Also... I'm just going to drop this here... in case anyone wants to see what Dimitri and his brother looked like before I reshelled them.

 

I’ve just tried taobao using an agent. I can already see my parcel is halfway to me (it’s in the sorting facility in Frankfurt, I’ll let you all know how it goes but I can safely say it was quite cheap for the outfit I picked.

 

I just have to say that Ringdoll's custom service is super nice and fast. I asked for photo reference (Dracula on RGMbody-4) and next day I had it in my mailbox. Still not sure if the head is too big but I really want that body...

@Dark Angel - There's so much amazing stuff there. Quality can be a bit hit-and-miss, but the prices are just too damn good to not give it a go. Aww, they look like they've grown up! How cool!

@Charadas. Is Marcus on the 4 body? Tattic wants to know what the Dracula head looks like on a 4 body. Personally, I think it should look fine. I have my Dracula head on a body that I'm pretty sure is thinner.

@Dark Angel I got the photos from Ringdoll but if someone has rgmbody4 on rd grown head, I would be pleased. I haven't decided do I want Dracula or K (necromancer character shelling problems number 666). I had Kashira before but it was too "gentle". Also 70cm is too tall for the character.

Heh, I;m dying for Judge and White King. I;m so afraid that I lost mi mind for ringdoll again...
I already have Illya (love from the first sight) and body for other doll but I think I might die again when the'll show Judge.

 

I'm dying to see the Judge, atm I am missing another 'perhaps' doll waiting on the Judge. Though I have a feeling I won't be disappointed.

I have an RGM04, so I can put a head on it if you want. I have K and Dracula (open mouth tho)
He's nearly 70, just fyi. The RGM03 is so much taller, it's easy to think of the 4 as short, but it's not...

For some reason the PuritySeal clouded slightly (doesn't normally happen) but it's lucky it did because now the match is even better

 

I have Illya on rgm3 body but also have rgm4 body so I can try him on if it helps

Jany congrats! It's like a full new doll. I don't count floating head befor I buy them body since my other boys don't share :P

I don't know if I was showing my Illya. I'm so slow with working on my dolls but he looks almost like I want.
Still needs his tatoos unfortunately... and piercing >.>

Well, mine don't get a say in whether or not they share bodies. For one of the main story's main characters, if photostories ever happen, I'll need her on three bodies in turns to show physical changes ... plus I'm running out of space for more big dolls, so it's share or float, period.
For the lip one, if it's supposed to be a stud maybe glue on a half-bead?

 

With limited space and a crew of mostly SD, what can you do? Besides, I never have all of them out at once anyway, it's mostly just the one(s) I'm currently working on (plus one or more from the group they belong in to keep them company).

 

I need opinions. The small iris eyes I bought just arrived but I'm not sure I like them. They are the first small iris eyes I've owned so maybe I just need to get used to them??

I like them quite a bit! (but then I personally really dislike when the iris fills almost the entire eye) You could go up a size if you find them too jarring, but I've found having a fair amount of white helps their eyes show up in photos better.

 

My Sols, Illya and K have 14mm small iris eyes. They look great even with Illya and K's small eyes.

 

I'm gonna agree with @petiteballerine I think they're too small. Just looking at actual humans around me right now, they do look like they have too much white. He's gorgeous, and they're a great color....I think it's the width of the eye, rather than the height if that makes sense. Because his eyes are still larger than the average humans.

@Shao-ron omg he's so pretty!! Does he have a name? What tattoos are you planning?

*sigh* Back to the drawing board then. I think there's too much white as well. Such a shame because the color is perfect. And I bought three pairs of eyes for 3 different dolls. Looks like they will all need new eyes.

Oh that sucks! that is the worst. What size are they? My Norman has 10mm eyes and they take up more space. They do gap a little tho.

You can always hang on to them. I have Granado guys that are wearing 8mm eyes D: they could use those tiny irises.

So I got the eyes from Etsy and going back to read what the description says, there are 2 sizes?? Small and large. But the only option for sizes was 14mm and 16mm. So I'm guessing that the 14 and 16 are the small and large sizes that they were talking about? It's just frustrating because they are SO small. I thought getting a 14mm would be safe because, of course, they don't look THAT small in the example dolls' eyes.

Oh well. It's fine. I love wasting money. Lol.

Dark Angel I think you should just get used to it. I had the same problem at first and now I want only small irised for my dolls xD
Thay are very pretty, where did you get them? (Ok I found xD)
If you don't feel comfortable take something else. I think that kokdoll has eyes with smaller irises but larger than this.

and I'm working on designs now - I want hands and forearms to be tatuued and of course neck :P
I had some designs before but I must redo some of them since he "told" me that he has other ideas >.>

 

My Ring K is on his way! ^.^ What a timing, he should be here just as I am done with all my projects. I have some EU court justice stuff to solve, such a long process that knowing K will wait for me after that is a relief.

I hope that the Finnish post doesn't mess this up, seems like many parcels from abroad have gone missing recently. I'd hate to lose him now, haha. And also he's 45 cm bigger than any doll I have ever held, this should be exciting... I sure hope nothing is broken :S

I came up with a name and a story in the meantime (or rather decided to shell an OC of mine) and so he shall be called Milon Septimus. Milon is a name I made up myself, Septimus is derived from his number among the very highest-ranking commanders of the "death army" that appears in my novel. (There are a total of 20, they are not in order according to their abilities but the day they were given them by their creators.)

Speaking of pics, I have one of John's extra heads on my 04 body to photograph this weekend....for anyone wondering before I get the photos up, it looks great. I mean really nice....the proportions are perfect - though I'll admit for John they're weird to me since I'm used to him being weirder lol

 

Don't fill my head with dreams of a K on my 04. I like Nox's head there just fine, but a NS K looks sooooo cool. Stop it, I have Aalon. I'm getting the Judge and that is final. White King is creepy but I know the Judge will be awesome.

I don't have them yet. I ordered them.......and it's possible they were shipped O.O
I got a text from DHL saying my package will be delivered Tuesday and I need to sign for it. I have nothing coming to me from DHL, and the only people I order from who send that way are Ringdoll. Fingers crossed!!!
Fingers crossed the hands are even there lol since there is no record of me ordering, just emails!
I've done this before and they came through tho so I'm not too worried.

 

I ordered the Senkai hands, clog feet and his pipe and some teen feet then I added wheat Senkai hands so I don't know if that postponed shipping my order. I should be hearing something soon since I ordered them in July.

I also got a head from Granado last week that I had no idea was on the way until I checked their site on a whim and found it was marked shipped XD

For Ringdoll, I also literally checked the other day, and saw that NONE of my orders were ever marked shipped....yet I have everything i've ever ordered from them. The last couple heads I ordered I got the same way. Mysterious text from DHL. As long as everything's there! lol

oops double post. But I got a shipping notice this morning for my Ringdoll stuff! Along with another text from DHL, which I am now sure is my RD order XD

I'm excited to see the hands (I really hope they're included!!). Nameless Raven is also excited since one pair will be his....I haven't decided who'll get the second pair yet.

I think it works great! I wouldn't be able to use it for my guys, my Dracula needs to be about 65cm so this is way too big for him, and John is John....he's just not that....that. I am used to him with a long neck, tiny waist and mile-long legs....not to mention he's way too muscled on the 04 body lol But as far as normal and well proportioned men go, the 04 is a fabulous option.

As far as height goes this guy is as tall as the DM Model body (69-70). It's not a small doll. It's just that next to the RGM03 pretty much everything is small but Iplehouse EIDs lol

 

I think both heads look great on that body. Although I'm not used to seeing John look so grumpy!

It's not like he shrunk (I feel like that would piss him off)....he's a little larger on the RGM04 lol

In all seriousness I do think both heads work well on the body! I do wish I'd taken one or two with a wig on Dracula....but at the time I didn't even think about it.

 

I have received my first taobao order last week but just came back home from my holidays yesterday. What can I say, taobao is going to be the primary source of all the items for my spoiled rotten boy!

petiteballerine RGM4 has IMHO really ugly feet so I change them in my rog4 but for different company. I;m not sure if they would be too big, you know?
But I don't have it unfortunately - I have only normal feet from rgm3.

I think all the hands should fit the 04 - they're just the "grown" hands....and all the RD hands I have (somehow, I have a lot) are the same on both bodies.

But omg those feet......buy the feet.

I also hate the 04 feet! I....I literally have no explanation for them. The feet on the 03 are gorgeous. I actually put my 03 feet on my 04 body. So the "grown" feet should work for both 03 and 04 for those interested. I should have bought extra feet too.

I will try to post more!! They're on my Dollshe body right now (but Raven head, so still on topic for this thread). I haven't decided who gets the second pair yet, Harry Dresden or John Constantine. They both need Wizardy hands lol. I need to buy more hands too.

Exactly. WTF is the only way to describe them lol I thought the same thing. And at the time, the doll using the body was going barefoot so I was like, I can't have these things showing all the time D: D: D:
But Harry Dresden is on my 03 and he never goes shoe-less, so he's good with the ugly feet.

Constantine has a Granado head (both my Ringdoll bodies do for some reason!) but I'll maybe show whoever gets them just for the hand purposes! Or I can put two dolls in one photo for a change.

LOL I have no idea at all. What you said is exactly what I said when I saw them - they look like something I made. But I love the 03 feet! Why they didn't just use those. They use the hands. I have no idea.

Ha I must be the only one who doesn't think the 04 is small XD He's as tall as my 70cm guys and bigger than some of them!

I have to order another K head eventually (John is so spoiled) so I'll probably order some feet then. And then not use the 04 feet at all. More hands too because why not??
