I ordered a outfit for my Mika from Fabric and Friends, I still don't have shoes for her, but I guess I can order her some from them as well. I have the glamour body and it is hard trying to find a nice dress for this type of body.

 

I thought Nana was gorgeous too.

Ooh, I'd love to know more about what patterns fit - would you mind letting me know what size Adams Harris patterns you use? I've had some success with them in MNF size, but haven't tried anything for the bigger girls!

And also @LaurieESW - would you mind terribly posting on here if it was a commercial leggings pattern you used, and if so, what one?

And if anyone else has had any luck altering patterns... I'd love to know!

I'm going to have a try of the DGRequiem designs on Etsy... I think the Regency pattern in particular looks like it should be possible to adapt to fit Raccoondoll fairly easily - I hope!

 

I have used some Adams Harris patterns she has sized for the older yid. I also have found things in the Iplehouse pattern threads, like this one

Designs by Jude has some for the FID which could be adapted too.

 

I used Adams Harris plain in plaid with some adjustments.

Woo-hoo! My Damien is queued for shipping! I'm biting my nails waiting to see how he shapes up next to my other dolls. I have a feeling that he's as big as my Idealian51. Thank goodness I ordered some of his clothing so I won't be scrambling to find him something to wear.

 

Please post a picture with your Idealian51. I have been wondering about the size difference!

Good. . . this means that within a couple weeks hopefully mine should be queued for shipping. . .Did you order him with a faceup? And which one? And AAAAA I am so excited to see him when you get him!!!

On the Safrin front, they still haven't opened their resin eyes. No idea as to why not. . .but at this point I think I'm just gonna get supplies next paycheck and make my own. It'll be cheaper in the longrun.

 

I ordered him with the Pure Passion face-up. (It was the only one offered at first.) I also ordered the short gold mohair wig, a shirt, shoes, two pairs of pants and a belt. Figured I'd go all out while they had everything in stock.

I do wish Safrin would get their act together. I want to order eyes, too! If only Doll Bakery made the 6mm size, but then you've got to be in the right place at the right time to order from her. Last time she was sold out before I even saw the pre-order notice--and I'm on her mailing list!

 

@vermont chick It is such a shame that DollBakery doesn't offer 6mm eyes or 8mm small iris eyes. I asked her about a year and a half ago if she would consider one of her GOs where she makes a custom size for a group order and she said she didn't know if she felt comfortable in making eyes that size but maybe if enough people were interested she might be willing to give it a try.

 

I'm sure we could find enough people here to order. The first time I ordered from her it was a special order for small iris 12mm. I think it was here on DoA.

 

A thought I had last night with regards to hands - The Dollshe Fashion Girls have similar sized hands to the FID and Raccoon girls. . . Does anyone have a Raccoon Girl and a Dollshe girl who would be willing to swap out hands and take pictures of it (I don't mind mismatched resin)? I'm looking for some excuse to get those gorgeous hands for one of my girls. . likely Billie since they have more resin colour options and MIGHT have one similar-ish to Milk Mocha maybe?

to me he kind of looks like Iplehouse Bane- the chin reminds me of him but he got eyes like a lot of soom idealian and megagem guys. He got a kind of native-american vibe to me.... i mean like watching Winnetou and so on. I better like him than Damiean

When I saw David I thought the same => Winnetou . He looks a lot like Pierre Brice who played Winnetou.

(I am not sure how many non-Europeans know Winnetou - it's old german film series romanticizing old West - it's from 60's and it was about the friendship of apache chief Winnetou and Old Shatterhand /aka book author Karel May. My absolute favourite is "The treassure of Silver Lake")

Doesn't it feel weird that we waited so long for the guys to be released and then once they did they are coming out back to back to back? Like they had to be in production for a long time to have 3 sculpts ready to go all at once. So why weren't they released together so we could choose which one to get to begin with? I am a little regretting jumping on the bandwagon from the first go but, hopefully, Damien will be worth it. Just saying.

 

to me the guys are nice but not a must have... maybe the perfect one comes along and Solveigh (my Nana) falls in love with him as well as i will fall in love. But for now she will wait for her friend Gwen to come home (Iple FID Isis)

 

David looks like he could be Monica's brother, I think. As for me, I'm still happy I got Damien for Julian, so that's good. I need to stop checking every single day to see if the status on my order has changed. They'll email me. But I still check anyway >__>. I probably have at the least one more week.

 

OMG! I'm totally sunk. I need $400 right now. Why is David on sale for 3 weeks only? Like @Therealwalter said, I'm regretting (a little) getting Damien--hopefully I'll feel differently when he arrives. (Still queued. Hurry up and ship already!) I think I'm going to be a very bad girl and order David as an extra special holiday present for myself. Yes, I could wait for a re-release with a different face-up and outfit, but free shipping ends on December 31st. If only money would fall from the sky instead of this stupid snow...

Enjoyed catching up though and reading everyone's thoughts. David is handsome and the first one that I feel really tempted by.

Laetitia is off to do her seasonal shopping Meant to add that he wig is a new one - Debbie from Monique. I really like it - I needed to trim the bangs a bit on the blond one I bought.

I ordered David, even though my brain kept telling me to wait a few days to see if Raccoon would release a second version with a different makeup. I'm getting him with normal skin. With a red wig and blue eyes he'll take over as Jamie Fraser from my Idealian51 Cuba.

PayPal wouldn't let me use my balance, which I don't understand. PP Balance is listed as my preferred way to pay, but this is the second time I couldn't split the payment between the balance and the PP credit card. Come to think of it, the first time this happened was also with Raccoon. I wonder if it's a setting at his end?

 

As far as I know, they don't let you split between balance and the PP card for some reason overall. At least it's never let me do it. Not sure why, but it's always been either balance and bank account or all PPcard.

Congratulations on ordering David though! I am thinking I may get the Dreaming Gene head now, since I am considering eventually getting Gene herself. I'm pretty sure I'd regret not getting the dreaming head if I don't.

 

I frequently split between balance and the PP Master Card. Maybe there's a dollar limit? It works automatically on smaller amounts.

 

That's very odd about not using your PP balance which should automatically take whatever leftover balance out of your debit or credit card that is listed.
I love looking at your photos, but have yet to fall for a Raccoon doll. I was tempted by the Elves, but then IH came out with vampires!

 

Just took advantage of the christmas limited rerelease and ordered Rosie. Happy to get her after all.

@vermont chick Thank you . Normal skin, and I am just getting the dolls to do the face ups . Ok, not just, but that's one of the reasons. But limited re-release means, you could get the guy you wanted, or is he not on offer with the others?

And something that has probably been answered before: Can Raccoon girls wear JID or FID hands?
