Okay, so I stink at poetry, but you get the picture. I think she might like to snuggle up to my Leonard.

 

It was a beautiful poem, @vermont chick . I am safe from her thank goodness. I wouldn't worry about making a new girl cutting into the boy creation time too badly. For the girls they only have to sculpt a head. I mean, yeah, there's the whole concept design and things, but it's not as time consuming as if they were say, making an entire new line of spindly doll chateau-like creatures when you were hoping for something different (like some companies which shall remain nameless but whose name begins with Iple and ends in House.)

I've decided that if Raccoon wants me to buy his boys he'll have to give me sufficient notice so I can save up. In the meantime, I have ordered Steeze Rosie in milk mocha with slim body and small breast, makeup and the free mani/pedi in red.

Anyone want to venture a guess what "Steeze" means? I haven't a clue.

It's basically an slang term for style. I don't know that the kids use it anymore though.

 

Thanks @nancy_schroeder_ca and @luckeegurl36 - Without kids/grandkids of my own, I'm rarely aware of slang terms used by the younger generations. By the time I become aware of them, they're usually a decade out of date.

 

Apparently it's from the 90's, so Raccoon's in the same boat as the rest of us with decade or more out of date slang words lol.
I really am tempted by those lace up heels. . . I'm debating on getting Billie some FID feet though. . or at least FID foot-shoes. Gotta wait till I see the Milk Mocha in person though. I'd probably have to airbrush them to match a bit better anyway no matter what colour though.

 

Hello all. I am here because vermont chick did an evil thing... she posted her couple on the FID thread I have an FID Bichun on his way but I wasn't entirely thrilled with the FID gals. I'm leaning towards a Nana - I like that she looks younger (depending on faceup) than most of the other sculpts. I am wondering a few things though.
1. The Intimate Nana shown on the site - does anyone know if that is sweet mocha resin?
2. Does anyone know when they will be up for sale again?
3. Why don't ya'll spam this thread more? (Hee Hee)
ASIDE: I'm hoping I'm not drawn in by any of the guys when he posts them 'cause I don't want to regret getting my Bichun!!!

Ordered Billie some eyes from Safrin for when I finally pay her off and get her (in like August). I got her the Foggy Bold colour from Safrin. Also why are we all so terribly quiet in here??

 

It has been quiet. Perhaps people are busy after the holiday. Things are also usually quieter during the summer vacation season.

Hello everyone! I love your Nina's new face up boudica. I am waiting for my Nina to arrive. She has been "queued for shipment" for a few days, so hope she will be arriving soon. I already have some Iple feet and hands for her. I want to order some of the Safrin basic eyes but they don't seem to be up yet? Even though it's the 2nd now, it still says April pre-order on the eyes?

Impatiently waiting to see the Raccoon guys as not so keen on the Iple FID men. Would have preferred a mini EID body. I am tempted by Rosie and Leticia though.

 

Welcome @Mara Jade I hope your Nina will be on her way to you soon. As for the Safrin eyes, it does say that she closes orders after 160 pairs, but I can still see them up there - does this link work for you? Doll Eyes

 

You wouldn't be able to see the page at all if the eyes weren't open for order. It even reads "April pre-order" on my order form and invoice.

Thank you, the face up was done by me , I think I will keep it for a while the same as it is. Good luck with fast shipping of your Nina, she is really beautiful sculpt. I am also waiting impatiently for Raccoon guys, I even did not order Bichun in anticipation that Raccoon guys would have more subtle body . Rosie is beautiful too, she is on my wishlist for sure.

You are right too , this dress was sewn by my sister for her Emma (Raccoon's Sarah) and it was inspired by the live Disney film Beauty and the Beast. I borrowed it for the photo session as I do not have any clothes for my Nina yet. Here is comparison of my Nina and my sister's Sarah (the picture was taken during doll meet).

Nina is sweet mocha skin and slim figure with small bust, Sarah is normal skin and glamour figure with large bust (the dress fits both of them but it's not so stretched on Nina in the bust area). My sis wanted less dramatic face up for her girl and I tried to make her look like Emma Watson a bit (not very sure how much I succeeded , but my sis likes this face up). You will find Sarah's pictures with another dress in Raccoon photogalery on DoA.

 

@boudica I can definitely see the Emma Watson in that faceup...

I love how they both look so different and give off such different vibes while wearing the same dress.

Oh, thank you all very much . I am glad I was able to achieve my sister's goal , she plans to sew for her Emma also Griffindor uniform as Sarah's face looks like younger version of Emma W. I will definitely post it here once she finishes it .

 

Is Raccoon Doll still sending his dolls in those huge boxes? I am tempted with the new girl.

 

I think the boxes remain the same size....the Raccoon doll I received a few weeks back had an outer box sized 22cm W x 20cm H x 53cm L....More compact though than the large Iplehouse boxes for the FIDs......So agree with you about how tempting Rosie is, such a beauty.....

I ordered a outfit from Raccoon, and omg sticker shock! Just for the blue pant and the pintuck white shirt was $83!??? Is there another website I can find clothes for the Glamour body size or do I have to stick with Raccoon?
