My narae n402/n404 couple. This is an older faceup on my n404, but I still like the photo.

 

@Kiwiana I always loved the 40cm Narae but was only collecting SD so I have one of Bimong's original french resin Naraes. She is still one of my favorite, but I now have gone to MSD because I've run out of room for the larger dolls. I'm still deciding, but I think the N404 head best matches my N410. I can sew, but dragging out the sewing machine and sewing table takes far more effort than a ball of yarn & a pair of knitting needles!

@rianne; your dolls all look lovely. I like the makeup palette & white lashes on your older faceup as well. You have a wonderful collection!

coleen I too had a lot more SD size dolls. Now my MSD size are catching up. My very first Narae was an open eyed tan French resin back in the Dollfair days. She ended up very, very yellow. Those were the days when the heads were called open eyed, classic, 2/3 open etc..... I still have the original Narae wig. I wish bimong still made those. They are classic.

 

@Kiwiana; I too got my Narae from Dollfair. And, she still wears her original wig! Remember the pajamas she came in? I still have those in a bag of clothing!

 

coleen My 40cm girl came in white lacy underwear, which I still have. I do have the Narae 60cm P J's that those girls came in too. My Soony wears those.

Question for those who have the new Narae body, have you had any luck finding pants? I am looking for a pair of jeans but i'm not sure if the regular msd jeans will work with her hips..

 

The hips definitely are very wide, also the thighs. I did manage to squeeze her into Nine9Style MSD jeans (I can't find the exact model, maybe they were the roll-up skinny jeans?), but she can't do anything in them, only stay upright. Pants that fit Minifee will mostly not fit, I think, except it is very stretchy material. I have leggings made by guppykisses (I think?), they're very stretchy and fit her, but another pair by Karapisdiza that doesn't fit.
Maybe pants for JID are worth looking into? (I don't have any so I don't know)

I am so happy he decided to make it in the 6.5 size! I had my reservations getting the limited head because I was really hoping for the classic but now i get both! Now i'm kind of hoping he decides to come out with a simpler msd body...

 

He is planing a revised version of the classic body.

 

I've just ordered the limited 6.5 Dandelion too! Couldn't resist. Also got 2 more sets of hands. Bought a N410 head from the MP in light tan and that is on it's way. So hope to have that all face upped by the time my Bimong orders arrive.

I'm confused about the limited Dandelion head. Bimong is sending 2 heads? I want to order a new head for my sleeping Narae but I am also drawn to the Dandelion head. I haven't made up my mind yet.

Yes, for the Dandelion 6.5 inch he is sending the new Dandelion with the open mouth and the classic Dandelion sized down to 6.5 inches. I think the $300 price for one head was a bit high for a lot of people, but for two special heads it is much better!

 

I'm thinking that is a deal breaker! How can I pass up 2 heads? But does the new Dandelion head look close enough to be Octavia's open eye head? Or do I need to get an N402 or N404 head?

 

The new head might be close enough. The new dolls are shipping soon, so user pictures may be available or you could ask Bimong on Instagram to post a picture of the new LE Dandelion with a Narae head.

 

I ordered the special Dandelion heads! I think it looks close enough, and if not I can order another head later. I want to order the classic body once Bimong makes his revision.

 

I think that is a wise plan! I'm waiting for the classic body also!

Waiting on the new Classic body will give my wallet a break. The bed and desk Bimong has shown for the dollhouse is exquisite. I can't wait to see the doll house as well.

 

I wonder how much the re-vised version of the Classic body will cost us? Is it just for the Narae or Narin that he is doing first?

 

Completely agree about giving my wallet a break lol too much spending recently with the linited edition heads and the newbody...and now wanting the classic body...as for the price...he is making everything limited now which means it will be priced as such

 

EEEEEE he sent me a message on IG with my shipping invoice!! How bad is customs going to hit me though? I have never ordered a doll since moving to Japan and have no idea what the taxes are like for something this pricey...

Oh wow, according to EMS it's not even going through Tokyo first (were my packages usually get held up in customs), it's on a flight to my island this very moment (which hopefully means no taxes???) AJSHGJKGDSKHG. I thought I'd have a week to prepare, Im not ready!!!

 

Can't wait to see the new dolls arriving. I am thankful we don't have to deal with customs in the US!

 

The sales have finished. So fingers crossed he will finish and ship all the Jan orders before he reopens again.

You are so lucky coleen not having to pay customs in the US for overseas items. Once my order arrives in the country I will have to wait till I get a notice from customs and that can take a week or more depending on how busy they are

 

Sometimes Japanese bureaucracy makes me wanna smash my head into a wall.

I was off my island and on the main island this weekend when they attempted to deliver my package. They left no delivery notice, and I only knew because I was checking track-trace.com obsessively. Fine. I get back on Sunday and the office is closed as usual. Then today I go into the post office and I SEE my package right behind the desk, and they know who I am because I'm the only foreigner on this island and do a lot of online shopping. It's hard to miss me.

But no, I have to call the central post office on the main island to put in a re-delivery request, and then once my local post office receives the order, then they can give it to me.

@ourtangledbones - that is the longest wait; when you know your doll is at PO and you can't get to it! I hate when I miss a delivery and have to wait!! Thankfully, in the US we don't have to put in a re-delivery request. I will be looking forward to seeing pics of your doll's arrival!

 

I got herrrrr! And the box came packed with Korean treats!

SADLY, most likely due to temperatures on the plane during transport, her inner silicone band had snapped, and for the first time ever, I had to restring a doll. I was scared shitless, but luckily there was an extra band in the box and I somehow managed to piece her back together. Wow, what a great poser! So much more flexible that any of my other dolls (Dollzone, Bluefairy, Withdoll) and I'm really excited to start shooting with her when her head gets in.

Bimong was super helpful throughout the whole process as I messaged him on Insta and he told me that once he moves here, I can bring her in for restringing and general maintenance.

 

For all those of you who are waiting for the classic body, the preorder for both Narae and Narin will start on April 15th (Limited edition of 100)

@ourtangledbones congrats on receiving your girl! But I'm surprised at the silicone band snapping, so it simply ruptured? Wasn't it supposed to be more durable than normal elastic?

I think it's cool that Bimong still offers the classic body. It has a more aesthetic appeal to me than the new body.

 

Super excited about the classic body! I'm curious do you guys wish for any changes to the classic body? Not sure if i'm alone in this but i'm hoping for double jointed knees and perhaps a wider hip

 

I was hoping that the classic body wouldn't be up for order till later in the year to give my finances a break.

The notice says that the elbow joints have been changed, which will be great. My old Narae's are not great at posing.

Bimong posted a notice on his website recently! He says that the revised classic bodies will be sold at $300. Along with a few other pieces of news.


I am contemplating a Narin boy on the new classic body ^_^

 

I so want to jump on this, but I will have to wait and see.

 

Trying to convince myself that I don't need a fourth narae. ^^; These dolls are just too perfect, and the classic body is like catnip to me.

Here's my third girl, Rowan (who's pretty much just adding fuel to the fire haha). Sorry for the image quality.

 

Were they always such limited releases? I just scored a narae 406 second hand. I'm pretty new to bjds and just love the sculpt. I noticed on their website everything's been sold out for a while.

 

The very limited heads is a new policy and only applies to the new sculpts. Like many companies, Bimong is opening short order periods. It's a good system to allow more orderly production. I think the next order period opens on April 10th.

 

Looks like bimong is already making the March order, when he hasn't finished making and shipping the Jan order yet.

 

My January order was shipped. The body arrived Thursday and the Dandelion heads are now scheduled to arrive Monday. The Post Office is being inconsistent ! Both boxes were on the same flight from Korea!

 

Does anyone know if hybrids work well with the 42cm Naraes? I'm kind of looking for a mini doll "just to be cute" and I think it would be fun to switch heads for different characters. I've heard a lot about the similar-sized Minifee being hybrided with Unoa, Dollmore Narsha, etc. The Narae face is lovely, so sweet, but I like variety.

Has anyone made a hybrid with the classic 42cm Narae body?

@StellaMarigold Thank you! That's so sweet. Re: the hybrid... I don't actually think you'd need to mod the neck. The color will be way off though. You'll need some airbrush magic.

@rianne I love your Rowan; it was a creative way to deal with her uneven coloring. @nancy_schroeder_ca congrats on getting your new body and Dandelion heads. I haven't yet gotten a notification on shipping for my Dandelion heads.

I plan to order the classic Narae body when the preorder period opens this month. Is anyone else ordering?
