[Adopted] Mirodoll Discussion - Part IV !

I want to step in and ask a question that has (probably) been answered already. I'm thinking of getting the 65cm Miro body for my floating Doll Family head-is Miro yellow a good match for Doll Family yellow or would I want to get custom?

 

Marika, I forgot to mention on Flickr how much I love Iris's wig! The length and colour are perfect for her! She looks so pretty, though I'm sure she'd look pretty in any wig.

I absolutely love this outfit.

 

I'm liking the general look of miros bodies but the hands carry a bit too little detail for me, is it the same for others ? (I see many people who have swapped them for jointed or other hands)

 

I've heard it's hard to swap their hands? Something about them having ovoid wrist joints?

 

I have some older bodies and they do have oval wrist joints - doesn't matter much though, I swapped the hands on the girl body and they sit a bit on top of the joints but still have good mobility. Loads better than with their defaults. But people have modded the joints using hot water, too, and I believe at least some of the newer bodies have round wrists.

 

The newer bodies seem to have better hands in general. I am glad to see they are working on that but I'd love it if they'd start making the old bodies with better hands too. My taller Miro bodies they have much nicer hands than the ones on the first Miro dolls I bought.
