@LauraESW I think an FID Zera would indeed be awesome! She has a unique and very pretty face! in fact, she looks a little like one of my nieces on my husband's side So pretty!

Have you guys seen the new images of Vanessa?!? Grief, I really love her. If I'd seen them before I made my choice I'm pretty sure I'd have said 'no' to Isis and gotten a softer version of my OC

 

@Ban Sidhe She is very attractive on those new photos! I especially like her with a small chest (in a vine dress). Yesterday I dreamt about a doll to be a perfect model for various fashion dresses... and here she is!

 

Is it just me or is Iplehouse not making very many clothes for their dolls now? I was going to order another outfit for my Zera and it has vanished from the website, now I wished I had gotten it before it disappeared

I don't remember her previous faceup, but yes, she did catch my eye. I love Eva but Vanessa has that same cute young look as Eva. That would be hard to choose between!

it's not you... the last year has sucked... since they got one that "SALE" binge... you know... 'last ones lelt' yadda... the only new items are with limited dolls and not all go into reg stock... To me it looks like they are trying to empty our all old stock items including only restocking if they have the materials is what i 'suspect' They seem to be avoiding adding new until every old item is gone. and if you ask if they are going to restock... they usually just reply 'we have not decided'... I've noticed even 'wigs' are disappearing.. my advice... if they have it and you want it... grab ity now while you can

 

My Doll Choice Pamela arrived yesterday! I totally did not expect her to be completed for another month or so. She is my first doll of this size. I'm a crazy one - so I made the jump from MSD size straight to Trinity doll at 105cm! But now I have a girl in between - my Pamela. Anyway, I'll save the commentary and show a video instead!

Love some Doria spam. I just ordered EID Doria in light brown. I think this will complete, round out my collection.

 

I just went to check out what Doria looks like, and Wow! I absolutely love her eyes!

I'm excited because my Grace head should be arriving today or tomorrow, along with an OT head. The pictures are so pretty, I'm beside myself with anticipation!

 

I posted this on FID thread about clothing....

“I am not sure which thread I read someone had commented that clothing for sale is getting sparce from Iplehouse. I asked them if they will continue to sell clothes for their dolls. Here is their reply...

“We won't be able to release clothes separately without the doll in near future.
We will release 1-2 clothes when a new doll is released so if there is anything you like, please order them soon before they get sold out. ”

I am sad as I like their outfits.

 

Do keep an eye out on Etsy, I saw many Iplehouse outfits sold there by the makers

 

There's also talented folks who design clothing for Iplehouse dolls in the artist made / sellers forum here at DoA to check out.

Reading Iplehouse's statement - it does sound as if they are stepping away from clothing / wigs / accessories. Perhaps they just wish to focus on the dolls themselves, with limited clothing they release with a doll? It's certainly a different direction for the company.

 

Doria is gorgeous. I think one of the sculpts that might be overlooked. A collector friend has two in light brown that are stunning. I had a list of about 5 head sculpts I was trying to decide on and finally picked Doria.

That is wonderful about the return of your Grace! Looking forward to seeing her.

 

Their clothing is divine, so well made and they use gorgeous fabrics. I was originally drawn to Iple as they are one of the few companies which offer a full, quality service, including the outfits and accessories. When they make such bespoke sized dolls can they really afford no to offer the outfits? Im really disappointed about their outfit offerings this year. I had planned to get two SD boys next year but don't think I will if there wont be clothing for them.

 

I wonder if that means Iple also doesn't plan any more "theme" dolls? They had such great outfit and stories with the Carved Heritage Series.

 

That is really disappointing about the outfits - hoping for more female EID sets. When I had asked about wigs, they told me that they should be stocked in the middle of January, but I don't know what kind of restock there will be. It seems like a ton of 8/9 wigs are all sold out (in every color) so I'm wondering just how much will be returning. Originally, I was told a restock for wigs was coming sometime in November. I wonder if they are planning to do the same thing with wigs as outfits (releasing alongside new dolls?)

 

Looks like I'll be passing on Vanessa, then, even if I was pretty interested; I really don't need a fourth doll in this size range with increasingly few clothing options.

Thank you. I sort of have gotten lazy about sewing and photographing my ladies, but did re-watch two Jane Austen movies and now want some regency dresses for the ladies. Time to pull out that Designs by Jude pattern for the first time. (my excited dance...aka happy dance )

Gosh, I want to get a different wig for my Grace, but I'm not sure what! I really need to sit down and make the wigs. Ugh, LOL. my first attempt wasn't that good

You are very welcome I used to be a FL only gal but then I started collecting some Artist Dolls and my tastes changed. I still love my FL tinies but I had to switch to an nYID for my main OC. FL aesthetics just weren't working for me anymore

Amy's 10mm eyes came in - They look good from this angle and are more realistic but they make her look older... She's supposed to be 23. I'm gonna leave them in awhile and see how I feel after I've given them some time.
Oh and I also did a little skin texturing - not sure you can tell in this image though LOL

FL aesthetics are very stylized, but I still love them. But Iplehouse realism is what I have always wanted in a doll

 

Looking through Iple's past doll collections, I saw the FOMA dolls with the tattoo bodies. Is there a way to order these bodies with different heads? I checked Doll Choice but couldn't find a tattoo option.

there is no way to 'order' the tattoo parts on any doll unless it is during some kind of event when iple releases them. They are not 'carved' in... they are cast that way. And any that land in auction often have some kind of flaw and yu do not get any choices about the doll except maybe to add blushing. Iple is releasing them these special cast dolls less and less... look on 'second hand' markets.

 

I forgot to comment on how much I love your doll, @Adalwolf ! She is amazing! The details are incredible!

And @Ban Sidhe , your photography is very cool, and doll beautiful!

I wanted to update this discussion because of some new information I read on another doll forum today (resin cafe). That this tape can harden if left on for a long period of time. I am not sure what 'long' is, but I got the idea it was longer than 6 months, maybe a year. And that it can leave a gummy residue. At least some reported it left a residue which took quite a bit of work to remove while others were able to remove it as @passionasfashion said, with rubbing with their finger.

I think if someone is wanting the lest expensive option, rubber bands.
I still prefer a silicone wig cap. It can be easily removed when not needed.

I just did not want anyone to have any surprises or disappointments later...if trying/using the tape.
