I just got the shipping notice on my Remi! I wasn't expecting for that to happen until next year.

 

Tall Fiona (Byula 18) is here! I'm waiting for a wig I ordered to arrive before I take (blank) pictures of her -- but I'm glad to find that some of the clothes I have on hand actually fit her. Haven't had time to try shoes yet, but I suspect those will be a challenge . . .

 

Does anyone know what the story is with Dollstown only having Pure skin available for pre-order, for the 17 and 18 years bodies? I was looking at getting a 17 years Honey boy during the sale, but only Pure is listed. When I look at the News announcements on the Dollstown site, there's no mention of removing the Honey options.

 

It hasn't been an option since mid-October, unfortunately. This is only a guess (since like you said Dollstown hasn't made any announcements), but I think it has to do with how backed up Dollshe is at the moment and honeyskin taking much longer to cast. The recent Fifth Motif order didn't offer honeyskin at all either, due to Mr. Cho's concern about the wait times iirc.

 

Congrats to @shinibun, @animemom, and @Cynthia in FlintHills! Glad your dolls have either arrived, or are on the way.

And my Byula 18 girl has finally arrived home, and I'm absolutely enchanted with her!

@Kiyakotari - Regarding the lack of honey skin colors - not sure what's going on there, but l agree that it's likely something to do with Dollshe Casting's current backlog.

 

Thanks and he's looking good. Took a few arrival photos, but due to senior dog and me now sick with a cold photos will be a while.

 

It's a shame that it means I won't be able to participate in the sale. The Honey resin is necessary for my order, since I plan on doing some part-swapping with a doll I already have.

Byula is a lovely sculpt and quite suited to the DT18 body and Yoon is so handsome!!

My gal is no longer new, but I wanted to share my DT17 / Edria hybrid modeling her
new ca.1790s shift - she is becoming my “Demelza” gal. Her eyes are 14mm Gumdrops.
I relaxed the curls of the ebay wig to look more like Demelza’s hair on PBS’ Poldark.
She was beautifully painted by @Jay Next I shall work on her petticoat, corset cover,
and a skirt/top, then she will get her photo taken with her Ross!

Popping back in to share Demelza’s new petticoats. The under petticoat is a
simple one with two 1/4” tucks above the hem. Her over petticoat is fine pima
cotton with French lace insertions, French lace beading, and three sets of pintucks.
I need to make her a white shift to go with her fancy petticoat now!

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Google warning 'this site may be hacked' on the Dollstown website? I'm wanting to order an 18yr male body but that's turning me off. Has anyone had any trouble with them?

 

That happened to me a few weeks ago when I used my bookmark to get to their website. So I closed my browser, cleared the cache, and then googled Dollstown. I used the link that was presented in the results and it went to the website without any warning. So I don't know what that's all about. I don't know if was me or them, but it seems to look normal now. GOOD LUCK!

 

Hello everyone! I just recently got my boy an 18yr boy body and oh my goodness I am in love. However, it seems like a pretty common problem that clothing (especially pants) are difficult to find for these guys. I just wanted to pop in with a recent discovery that might help some people who are still struggling with the whole issue of pants with proper length AND upper fit.

I ordered a pair of 70cm+ pants from Rrabit and, I swear, they feel like they were made for him. The fabric is stretchy so it can fit a wide range of sizes and, luckily, the 18yrs body falls right in the middle of the measurements! So, if you're still looking for decent pants that won't break the bank, these are it.



I couldn't find these mentioned elsewhere, so sorry if this is a repeat post!

 

I received my byula head today but I noticed a scratch near her mouth.
does every byula head has this or is it just this one? do you think i can replace this head if this is not common?

@tinana - Sorry about the scratch on your Byula head. Mine definitely does not have any scratches.

 

I sent an email to ask dollstown about the scratch and they replied that they noticed this scratch on every head. My friend who also order the head said hers also has the scratch. So what I'm guessing is that it is so tiny that as soon as flat and paint is applied to the face, it will disappear.

 

Interesting response from DT. That said, I haven't sprayed or painted my head yet, and I also carefully inspected her under magnification under bright light - and definitely no scratch on my girl. Did you buy just the head? Maybe that batch had the scratches. Mine was purchased and cast as a full doll.

Anyway, I think DT is probably right about paint and spray making the scratch "disappear" to sight (especially as it's tiny), so that should remedy the situation.

 

i purchased the head as a full doll too, not on a 18yr girl body but on a 15 yr boy body. Maybe they cast the body separately? Another possibility might be that they divided orders into different groups and casted the dolls not in one go but in several? Maybe earlier orders didn't have the scratch. Mine was ordered on Oct.20th.

By the way, here's a reference for those who want to see Byula on a 15yr boy body!

Anyone know if a Limhwa half elf head would look good on the 18yr body?

 

I sold my Half elf head so can't try it for you but I would have thought so as she is a fairly large head.

 

My friend is currently in possession of my 18y torso for blushing and she owns a Half Elf. I'm asking her if she can test it out soon, tho personally I think the neck might be a bit too thick for her head. We'll see! I'll post back later with her answer.

17yrs Girl Vision body

 

Dollstown's new girl is amazing. I'm in line to get one just from seeing the promo photos...... and to think I said no more large dolls.

 

Hm, the ankle joints on those high heel feet look smaller than the usual Dollstown ankle joints, don't they? And I need high heel feet for Black Alice. Maybe that floating head will get a body after all ...

 

@tinana: sorry to hear about the scratch but a friend recently heard from DT that there is going to be a delay with her order as they are having to recreate a number of the silicone moulds as they have deteriorated very quickly. I wonder if this scratch on your Buyula brought that to light. Have you tried using a damp magic eraser in circular motions over the scratch? If it's just a surface scratch that should help, good luck

 

Hey all. I'm in the midst of putting together a new lady with the 17 body. Has anyone tried the sartoriaj shoes meant for dollshe 26f ladies? I've been reading the thread but haven't seen them mentioned.

 

Can someone help me with a few measurements for the 18 girl? I wanted to make her a bra top and a long maxi skirt so I need her bust measurement from top to bottom and side to side and from her hips to the floor.

 

I've ordered a pair for my Dollshe Alex but it will be a couple more weeks until I get them. They should fit the Dollstown 18 body. Now that I've seen that 17 Vision, I'm waiting for that one....

 

@dollhausen Thanks, I have my fingers crossed for both of us in that case. The 26f ladies do seem to be the closest to the DT foot size.

Edit: here's another question for the thread at large. The body I ordered was listed as in-stock. Is that legit these days, or is it still gonna be preorder time-frame-wise?

 

I don't remember exactly but my most recent order (Aug 2017) was also an "in stock" whole doll and it came rather quickly. I see on their site they say "in stock" will ship within 1 to 2 weeks of order. My memory is that mine shipped in 2 weeks with EMS delivery.

 

@Lynn G. You're my hero, thanks! Dollshe has ruined my trust in projected time frames so I'm always suspicious the days.

If the body does turn up that quickly, head or no I'll make sure to contribute my own 'what fits' images to the thread. ^^
