[Adopted] Dollmore Lusion Discussion - Part IV!

Squeeeee!! I shall go post the news thread! Oh my, all these exciting releases!

I'm really fawning over all these limited outfits... xD I am absolutely in love with Red Riding Hood's dress, and now these two new girls' outfits! Oh dear oh me oh my... xD

EDIT: Does the elf girl's eye shape look different to anyone else?

 

I am hyperventilating in the worst way possible right now. I let out a squeee as loud as I could muster...........

Oh man I don't need a giant elf girl! But her eyes seem a different shape to me too? Anyone else see it?

EDIT: I say to my husband "what do i need a giant elf doll for???" He says "to stand there and be pretty!"

He also think her eyes look different O_o

 

Ah! she's gorgeous, she looks just like those old flower fairy that were depicted as children. I got no space for her tho. T_T

 

I got the "less grumpy" feel of her too x'D I am really not too keen on the Elf fullset, so I am really really hoping that they will release more Elfs in the future x'D

I too have been hyperventilating all morning....she is unbelievable...After much deliberation to commit to one of these Lusions, i think i may jsut have to try to bring this Elf home.... Love her too much!!!

 

She is very lovely indeed!! I just wonder about packing her for shipping. Yikes with those large lovely ears! Do you think collectors may have trouble with breakage during shipping?

 

At first glance I thought Elf was the same sculpt as Dreaming and Insomnia.

 

My god I wish I could hit the lottery... I have been lusting over these girls for a while but now this elf? Dear lord... I am so tempted by the year long layaway... but that's a long time to wait... and a lot of money... I really shouldn't but I so want to. We're going to be trying for a real baby soon so...ahhhh Dollmore why must you do this to me!?!

Don't fret...Fabric Friends and Dolls are probably sold out, as they had a small allotment and no doll can trump a human baby...so best of luck with that...!
Pomcrest, I'm not sure-there might be a difference in painting.

I like those lips too!! Much better then the pouty. Is it only a difference in the painting? Or a totally new sculpt? Did they use the original Dahlia mold and add the ears?

 

I love the elf's expression so much better, but I really want the normal ears... xD

 

I really like the faceup on the Elf. I like her lips better too, but I kind of doubt Dollmore resculpted them, which is something I'd always wished they would do. My Dahlia is so pouty, it's kind of depressing sometimes.

 

I wonder if the narrowed the cheeks a little bit down towards the chin. She looks different to me too. This is the doll for me. I am in love! Come home to momma baby girl!!!

Drools over Elf. I think they kept her mostly the same as the original Dahlia. The angles of the shots are a bit different but she looks to have the same face shape as Dahlia with slightly different lips and eyes. Elf dahlia has more upturned lip corners as well as eyes that seem to slant upwards a bit more. However I'm only sure about the mouth sculpt changing. The eyes could just be due to the eyeliner they painted on her.

 

She is the same sculpt as the regular Dahlia, but they painted the mouth very differently and left the eyes open, as they have done on most of the dolls. Dreaming Dollist, regular Dreaming and the Insomnia in White all have half-closed eyes.

I decided to check on the mouth, so I took my First Traveler into the computer and compared her to the Elf Eared one...and the mouth is the same, I discovered...and so are the eyes...I got Red Riding Hood, and her eyes, although the same shape as all of the others look like Elvis's, they are so shaded by her double lashes. Hair and faceups can make a huge difference. And Rivers, how could you ever be depressed by a Lusion?!

 

The new elf girl is so gorgeous! I hope they release a version of her as a non-limited. Also super excited about the rumors of an even bigger girl in the works

no wonder I haven't been getting any updates. there was a new thread.and omg just got the email from dollmore today. an elf! she's so pretty!!! I want her so bad. Lusion keeps tormenting me with beautiful dolls

 

I took the plunge! I put Elf Dahlia on layaway. After over 4 years on the fence, I finally did it! Lord, help me this Elf has turned my dolly plans upside down.
But I will be bringing her home in the upcoming months. Iris from FF&D was a real pleasure.

 

The Elf Dahlia is the first one of these I've actually liked! But I can't exactly afford her, and my parents would *kill* me for bringing something this size home...argh! I love her mouth, how it looks less pouty - maybe they'll make others with the same mouth, later?

 

I thought the shape of Elf's eyes and also her lips appear in difference to Dahlia. But I'm wondering if it's simply to the outstanding way that the Dollmore artist created her facial features? I would really love to know if Elf is an entirely different sculpt altogether or Dahlia head with Elf ears?

Great names!! I can't wait to see photos! I also have a Lusion coming home to me, although not a LE. It is Ice. Even though she is not home yet, she whispers to me that her name is Isella.

 

those are cute names. I've already decided my Dahlia name too. she will be named Lace if I ever get her.

 

In these photos, there is a definate difference with the mouth....Just started a layaway for her!!!!!!!! Cannot resist her...Not for a second...

 

If I ever got an elf Dahlia I would call her Willow I think x'3

 

I just asked Dollmore if they are going to release an unlimited elf too.
I'm so in love with this elfy girl, especially her wig and faceup, but with university bills coming up my mother would slaughter me for getting her now =/ boo. I already have a name and a personality picked out for her too!

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they released a white skin elf next or even a sleepy eye elf!

 

Jee replied, said that Elf Dahlia will only be limited. BUT that they will release another limited set in the future. That doesn't seem so bad, and like you said greeniebone they have surprised us in the past.

 

Ooooh yay for future elfs! 8'3 I hope I will like the next fullset of her! x'D

Cathy, She looks lovely-they do love their antique clothes for some reason. And Emily, thanks for the link to MuDolls-what pretty colors! These dolls do deserve the best, don't they? I see, Cathy, that Nell has gotten it.

 

I love Nell's cap. She seems to be looking a little alluring with her low top!

I also Pmed Ginarolo who deals in Hands Glass eyes, and she can pre-order in custom sizes for Dahlia. I'm really happy because I love those eyes so much.

 

Nell just got this lovely antique gown. For her first photos with the gown she wanted to show off "bits" of her body blushing. Good to know about the custom glass eyes sizes available for Dahlia!

I have seen these dolls in the past, but I just can't justify the price tag to myself. I really want one though. Maybe I'll give her to myself as a present when I get a new job or something like that. Layaway is definitely tempting.

Thank you Nancy! I actually got them from someone on another doll forum (I don't know if she is a member of the DoA) who has tons of vintage christening gowns and dresses. I love Nell in these, and when I get Ice (which will be very soon) she will wear vintage lace as well.

What a surprise to find two new Lusion Dahlia's!! I love the Elf LE30 (tempted) and Somnambulinsomnia LE10 is also very beautiful .... FYI only 12 Elf left and 6 Somnambulinsomnia left .... I think I'm holding out for the promised 'Big Sister' we will see ......

I'll do a new photo shoot soon with Roisin and her twin .....

I totally had a dream last night where i was wandering around with a lusion in my arms o.o it made me more determined to save up for Frost >.<

so i randomly bought some clothes from dollmore for her :p it will give me something to compare other random clothes i buy to see if they will fit at all <.<;

Good to know there are 6 Insomnia's left. I so want one but am working on my current layaway's. I can't wait to get my Ice!! I was going to name her Isella, but am now going back and forth with Solice. I guess she will tell me when she gets here.

 

Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone out there could post some owner pics of their Ice. I love her so much but in some of the owner pictures I've seen on google, she looks so "yellow" and I can't tell if it's the lighting or the actual hue of her.

I'm going to be doing a layaway with Iris for a Lusion but am torn between Ice, Golden, and Black.

I love Ice because in DM's pictures of her she looks so memorizing and captivating...but the owner pictures I've found on google make her look rather horrible.

Golden looks very realistic and I adore the fact she looks great in every outfit and every wig. She's very versatile.

Black, I love because she is extremely punky and has a huge amount of attitude.

So I desperately need help deciding because which ever one I pick will be the only Lusion I get. I would never be able to afford another one, not to mention no room for another one. Thanks
