Musestar sorry to hear you got caught, ebay has gone to the dogs, ever since they took away sellers leaving negative feedbacks, more and more sellers are getting poor feedback and ebay is stinging sellers with more fees. There seems to be some very unscrupulous buyers who know how to work the system, I send everything trackable now, and ask for priority shipping with insurance, I know its expensive but I prefer the safety option. Its a shame that you won`t post internationally now.
Did you get proof of posting at least, I would contact paypal by phone and discuss it if you have proof of posting they should cover you and give your money back.

 

Oh Musestar I feel so bad for you. This is why I stopped sending International airmail, things go missing all the time, I have hundreds in replacing items overseas. No BJD company will do it under any circumstances. So priority only and if it is really valuable, then ems only!

Popping in to see what everyone is up too, you know, we will break 300 pages in time at all.

 

I don't think it is so much Ebay but Paypal who are at fault. I have heard so many people who have lost money through sellers making claims for items not received.
I myself am waiting anxiously for two items (Expensive items too!) that were sent to France and haven't shown up. I posted about twenty items at the same time and these two have not shown up. Funny that they are both in France. Seems to be a problem there rather than at my end. Try telling Paypal that! ............sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Dollzwize: My cold was super stuffy. You know where you are 100% congested and therefore can't sleep. And a lot of coughing. Not much of sore throat tho. My biggest complaint was how long it lingered. Although, I hadn't heard Lana's saying before of "a cold is a week coming, a week here and a week going." That explains it all. And, I was uber-whiny because I haven't had a cold in a couple of years and I think I forgot how awful it was.

Awww, MuseStar! That sucks! there's gotta be something you can do...

School is officially back in session after winter break as of yesterday (Yep, we started on a Wednesday. WTH?). Woop-dee-doo. I was REAAAALLLY hoping to have my Fae before winter break ended so I could have some non-eaten-by-school dolly time, but no such luck. Bahhh.

 

All the wig combos are cute!! How are you going to decide??

I'm sooo sorry! I'm shocked all the time by the blatant audacity of people. I ship international everyday and I've had a few bad apples too. Just not too long ago on another forum a girl was upset because she shipped an item she sold on ebay WITH delivery confrimation. The buyer still claimed they didn't receive the item and ebay ruled neither party at fault!! Even though the delivery confirmation showed the package delievred...then the buyer still left her negative feedback because she didn't refund!

Still thinking I need a firefly.

 

I think the best solution would be to get a couple more fireflies and use all of the wig and eyes...makes sense...right?....

And, yes, I think you need a firefly too.

Thank you so much for your support. I always feel that I can run here for support. I'm giving Paypal a phone call and see what they have to say. I have been stung so many times in the last 6 months I'm about to call it quits at ebay before they ruin my good feedback permanently. I'm at Etsy and so far, so good there.............crossing fingers.
And I list here too.

 

I can see why others wont send international either, found a bunch of cool dolly things, and people are starting to decline international shipping, now I know why!

Pipsteds and imagica are international, so you are probably the only ones I will ship to. Just did an order for imagica and she gets her things okay.

eBay owns PayPal, so they are very hand in glove. However, I don't ever see people complaining on Etsy about all these problems. (Although I do see it on one of the model horse marketplaces - same kind of crap going on with people in other countries claiming not to have received things; but a lot of those transactions are just as full of Americans swearing they haven't gotten what they paid someone for either. That may just be the model horse community in general which is MUCH different from BJD people.) So far I haven't heard of any good alternatives to PayPal. There's something called PayGate, but I almost never see vendors saying they accept it. PayPal is sort of the only game in town unless you want to do a direct, bank-to-bank transfer or give someone a credit card number (then, if you are a seller you have to be set up to take credit cards yourself which has fees and who-knows-what all else!)

 

Etsy seems really great and fun there. Found out about it in a fabric store, and I'm there all the time now. I've heard of PayGate, used it a few times without any problems too.

Well, now I'm on hold to try and get my final value fee back. I think the only things that I will sell at ebay is my elf doubleears bears and that't it. For my bjd thingies, I'll be here in the marketplace and Etsy.

That is so sad for you to have another bad ebay experience so close together. I think a lot of people have set up their own webs or use Etsy. I buy overseas all the time and I dont think I have had a problem yet.

Wierd-doll-girl that photo of Ember is wonderful. where did you find the chucks? I dont have any actual puki shoes but they both fit into kelly shoes so I think they would be able to share.

imagica ~ It's been plain nuts! Yeah, Etsy is safe and then I'm on with grael too. I've been threatened as well, had to change a phone number, that was this past year, but didn't mention it here. Ebay keeps calling me to rate their performance, I let them have it........... I'm not like this at all, but when push comes to shove, I have no choice. Let me know you got your order from me okay?

 

Even if they are a little big, those chucks look so cute on Ember, weird-doll-grl! Plus you don't have to worry about whether she is going to stand for you or not in those! And I like her new friends!
