Well, I posted in the CCC waiting room, but I want to say it here too, I'm thankful for Charles note, but so sorry that he is having personal difficulties. It's tough to deal with anything when family is hurting.

Beautiful Tilly Moon seems to be quite the determined fae. She definitely has the right idea about breakfast. (love her wig, btw)

DollZwize - thank you for the iPhone instructions. Now if I could just get my email set up or figure out how to surf the net from my phone, I'd be set. I saved your instructions for when I get that figured out. I love the idea of being able to check in while I'm not near a computer.

Imajica - The thoughts of a vamp cat just make me smile. I can't wait to see pictures. Our cats here have many powers ... such as being able to change their weight at will, sometimes landing feather light and sometimes sounding like a herd of elephants charging across the floor. They also have the ability to cuddle on your lap and put you to sleep so that they can maintain their warm, comfy spot. But a vamp cat ..... well, that opens up whole new realms of possiblilities.

 

Ha yes my cats are the same lol. I cant wait to see him either. I described what I would like him to be and am waiting on viewing photos of the finished boy. As soon as he arrives I will show you him, then he has to go away to wait for his mistress

 

Family should always come first. I do hope your personal issues are resolved. My Fuuga (order through DDE) will be loved whenever she arrives. It really doesn't matter when she gets here! The stack of goodies waiting for her will just grow larger and larger!

Random question- I was wondering if anybody had seen any "converse" style sneakers in Firefly Fae size around the internets? See, because i've been wearing shoes like that since the fifth grade and they're my favorite and it would be awesome If I could get a hold of some for my Fuuga (You know, kind of a "Birthday" present). If anybody's come across any of those sorta shoes can you link me?

Well today I went ribbon shopping to try and make some clothes for soon arriving Fuuga. After having seen previews of her Inara has definately decided there can only be ONE fairest of them all in her woods. Her sister will be living in the dollshouse with my pon and the monamei sisters and I wanted to make some less fairy like clothes so she "fits in" with the people.

However ....


Not quite sure how that happened. ..back to the drawing board coz she aint sharing

Oh and Tiggy before you ask your christmas puppy is called King Demonfang the Terrible (I dont like to tell her she got her names mixed up)

 

Imagica, the dress is beautiful. I love how Inara truly looks like a tiny fairy, absolute magic. And I peeked at your new little bug, OMG--how adorable, Inara will not be liking to share her throne I am sure.

Imajica, that dress is GORGEOUS! She is indeed a fairest fairy...but I also snuck a peek at your little Fuuga and she is also sweetly stunning! It would be very hard to have those two competing...but I don't think that your Fuuga will be the competetive type.

 

LOL OmiGosh Inara just looks utterly Stunning in that outfit - Wow, You Go Girl! Wow, I really really am going to have to give sewing another try. That outfit is Awesome - maybe you need to make some plain old thing for the word "share" to even have any possible relevance LOL!

Abt the puppy - I am so thrilled at how Cute she looks with him - Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And I thought the same thing about the name mixup, but Tiggy straightened me out and said both names are "Uttersly Perfections" Apparently they are in on something not quite so translatable eh? LOL!

I hopped away from my computer last night and left it on, coming back to it hours later last night and amidst a sudden onset cold with sniffles.... I had taken some cold medicine so it was pretty funny, I kept actually falling asleep whilst trying to respond to all your hilarious comments. So needless to say it took me ForEsefer to write anything between snoozes, finished two times and both times the response was lost owing to some error message I was too tired to realze must simply have meant "refresh your browser and THEN write something" ack! I was so zonked I just went to bed.

So I am going to try again, but send this one first to see if my responses will post today!

I am blown away with the photos of my Fuuga. I am tracking her like a demented thing lol I am suprised the EMS page doesnt just flash up a sign saying "oh, you again"

She has left USA whooohooo. I doubt she will arrive and clear customs by Friday and then its the stupid weekend. She will be here by Monday though. That is going to be the longest day at work ever.

I do love checking in on her thru the day as I must say she does distract me from saying exactly what I think to coworkers - which is a very good thing LOL!!!

DarkStar - "Dark Night of the Soul" - LOL!!! Methinks you might be right there, even if Tiggy just does figure thru these things via dinosaurs and temple dragons, which come to think of it is a very good way actually LOL!

Oh Heavens, Inara and Tilly Moon are such incredible GlamFae!

I was just realizing I entirely forgot to take pictures of Tiggy in her special flower gown for New Years - Dang!

I am also wondering - Tiggy and Ember are the only two Fidelias that I can think of who still have their Charles faceups. It never ceases to amaze me that even in their most basic state these Fae each have their own so incredibly individual look and attitude - are there any other Fidelias who still have their original Charles faceup?

I so love everyones faceups, and am sorely tempted at points, but I look over at Tiggy and she is like "Whats?! Dis is my mugs and you aint messin wid it! Besides it jus DO go wid EverysTing, and I gots me a very busy life goin here and cant be bothered with no touch me ups!"

 

Oh Imagica - I sooooooo know what you are going thru! I did the same exact thing when I was tracking mine, and now am going thru it all over again waiting for word on whether she is really going to be ok now. Even Tiggy has her fingers crossed..........hmmm.....how is she doing that?....

 

I think Lyra still has her original face up and Dollightful's Ghloe may too. There have got to be a couple others.

Well, I am just relieved that Tiggy wasn't experiencing some kind of existential angst and it was just a visit to the pet shop. I do agree, dinos and temple dragons would be a great way to get through some difficult life passage like that! Wouldn't Freud have a field day on this forum (in this thread alone, for that matter!)? But I bet Jung would understand perfectly.

No doubt she wants you to go out and get drab colored ribbons and then she would find it acceptable to give to your Fuuga! These girls!

I was just about to post that the purple ribbon in the skirt looks like dragonfly wings when I read your post MuseStar! So perfectly true and magical!

Thistle Anne is going to be packing her bags soon if I don't get off my duff and find her some pretty, magical clothes too. Maybe she'll even take off the witches dress without giving me a thoroughly disgusted glare at the mere suggestion. I swear these fireflies do not understand why humans are so dim in mind as well as butt.

Midsummer doesn't have many clothes either. I made all those LE for grael, and I only got one outfit made for her! ACK! Now shes after me to make some faerie things. So that there is what she making me do! Slave driver!!!! LOL

And I adore the original faceups, I think they are charming. I can't imagine Tiggy, Ghloe, and Ember looking any different, and even though they are "default" they each have such style they could never be mistaken for any other.

LOL! I fear Lily may be thinking some kind of accident is in order so she can be sent away to some fabulous spa or other (especially one where it might be warmer than it is here)! She is getting a bit envious of all these girls coming home with such wonderful loot and great new looks while she is sitting up on the shelf, dressed in Kelly clothes, warm, but not especially fashionable! She keeps complaining that she is wearing plastic shoes!

I imagine Tiggy performing nursing duties for her human would make fantastic blog fodder! Might almost make it worth her while!

DollZwize I hope you are feeling better soon, and I think I have to concur with you that I don't see Tiggy taking on things like nursing duty...that would fall more toward the Fuugas abilities. Tiggy may hand you a tissue and wish you to "Be gettin' to more spunksyness purty quick" so she can carry on with her important activities, but in the kitchen whipping up the chicken soup?

I always looked forward to my Mom making hot lemonade when we were sick as kids. It was so yummy, soothed the throat, opened the sinuses with the steam and gave us a dose of Vit C. I only cared about the yummy part though

 

Ember and Lupo are busy working on some new outfits and making friends with some strange new arrivals.

I'm just starting to get to know her. So far, I can say that Fi is a bit of girly girl. Kind of a know-it-all and a bit of a stubborn streak. So far that's what I've figured out.

What have you got coldwise? I am glad this is time off cause my head feels like a marshmallow, nose is nonstop snufflies, and now its heading into my throat - blech....

And Tiggy wants me to let you know that she is actually here by my side, apparently just took a little artistic license from her vacation photos for those who had to work today - clever little fae!

 

Just dropped in. Still blizzard conditions but at least my husband made it home okay.

I've just about had it with ebay. I just lost $261.00 bucks through Paypal through a buyer that claims no receipt of the item she bought. The seller have no rights out there, I sold an antique dress, to get the money for my husband Hunter boy, well that went down the %$*&(%&#(*^$*(&*(&%(*#. So least to say, I'm just beside myself. I'VE HAD IT WITH BAD LUCK ON EBAY!!!!

 

Thats why I NEVER send anything without delivery confirmation...and even started doing delivery confirmation with signature for anything of any real value. I pay for it gladly for my own protection.

 

I always do, but..............going to France I couldn't, I asked for it several times, and there just isn't anything like that, well at least here where I am at.
I do delivery confirmation and sometimes insurance too here in the USA, I've covered my but several times. I"m just disgusted if this money was mind, but it was for my husbands doll

 

You know what they say...a cold is a week coming, a week here and a week going. I have been lucky enough to not have had a cold or flu for years now. I do try to be careful about lots of hand washing, don't touch the door handle leaving restrooms (always use the paper towel to open the door) and keep hands away from face (most important). On the other hand, something super mild, just enough to give me a bit of a throaty voice so I could call in sick and stay home and snuggle up and play dolls in this wonderful snowy weather would be so welcome!!!!!

 

That really sucks! I feel bad when people ask me to do international mailing but for the most part, its just too risky so I don't normally do it. Couldn't you insure it?

 

I tried everything Lana. So least to say I will NOT ship out overseas ever again, too risky. Well, expect for my friends on this thread only. She never left any feedback so I am pretty sure that I was completely screwed. I couldn't live with myself if I did that.

And Midsummer, YIKES...........don't mess with the furey of a fae!!!

 

you know it seems like every time I turn around to do business on ebay, I am getting stung. I'm sticking with Etsy, it seems to have better people there.

Well guess I will go and see how my Thimbletack is doing that my husband is making me.

Muse Star, that just stinks! That's why I won't do International on eBay anymore. Our postal systems really screws us with delivery confirmation and insurance on international shipping. It's just not worth the stress and worry (and charge backs that seem so easy for international buyers to do). But I know how distressed you must feel -- it would be one thing if it were some small doll clothes, but a high ticket item.... It's just sickening.
