Actual Dreams About Your Doll

just last night I had two BJD dreams (or possibly just one with a big gap I don't remember)!

the first one was that I was keeping my (fictional) Limhwa half elf with all of her clothes and accessories in an official BJD storage. oddly enough, she was the only one of my collection that I was keeping there and I don't remember the reason. the storage units were basically giant drawers a human could fit in. however it wasn't quite tall enough to sit up straight. during my visit I decided that playing with my doll exclusively while lying down was a massive inconvenience and I shouldn't pay for this anymore. :P

The second one involved a meetup in which someone brought they Dollshe Ausley. I thought she was beautiful and asked if her body was the old 26F to which they replied she was actually an hybrid. The body had a similar-ish aesthetic to the old 26F, but basically corrected all the details I don't like about it AND she's was 80cm tall! I wish it existed in real life!

 

I once had a dream the my Pukifee Mio's face kinda dissolved and she had a massive hole in her face XD That was a weird trip!

 

I had a couple dreams of my doll families, most were not anything specific, but in most of them they were able to move which was pretty cool lol In some they just walk with me, in some we have some kind of interactions. Guess it's what I wish could happen in real life happening in dreams lol

the doll I wanted to buy appeared in my dreams, not really ‘mine’ but I’m hoping to buy them. Regardless, I am obsessed and as such I had a nightmare they got sold. Big oof, work up and checked the site.

 

I have had many dreams about dolls, whether they be dolls I already have, or dolls I want to buy. Usually in my dreams I am wanting to buy a bunch of dolls and either they are right out of my price range or they change the way they look when I have them in my hand to buy. I don't ever seem to have "normal" dreams about dolls.

 

Most of the time I dream of my characters and not the actual dolls, but sometimes I'll have a dream (or rather nightmare) that I ordered a doll and the wrong one was sent to me.

 

I do, but for the most it's not nice dreams. Dreams about losing a doll that means a lot to me

 

I just did last night; her name was Anastasia, she generally wore sweet lolita outfits but occasionally gothic lolita, and she was very sweet in general. I think her face was a little sleepy looking, and her body might have been thicker than the usual sculpt for most dolls (any suggestions on real life sculpts that match these?). I think in the future, I'm definitely going to try getting a doll that looks like this so I can have her in real life! So question, has anyone else had dreams about or with dolls? Have you ever ended up getting one that looked like them?

 

Yep I already dream about 2 dollfie. One I purchased and another I don't.
It s very strange but the same time, it's good because you can visualized what you want.

 

I've only had a dream that I got a doll I was waiting for in the mail.

 

One dream inspired one of my doll's design. I already had her, but wasn't thrilled with her look. The dream inspired me to give her the body mods and props she uses to this day.

 

Once, I had a dream that the doll my wife was awaiting in the mail (Souldoll Vito Paw) arrived, but his head was insanely large and made of blue soap. Because the dream was so ridiculous, we still joke about it whenever she plays with Paw. Plus, whenever she orders new dolls I remind her of the possibility that it may arrive with a giant blue head, lol.

 

Alas, no pleasant dreams from my end but I've had nightmares about my dolls. The most vivid one was years ago: I was spending a normal day in my house, but then when I looked at Niel (the very first doll I've ever owned) I realized that his head was completely different. The face sculpt, face-up, the size of his head... Obviously, this was a different doll. Honestly he looked really nice, but didn't make sense to me so I went around my family if they knew what happened and/or put a different doll where Niel should've been.

Most people questioned what I was talking about, claiming that this was the doll that had always been around. My mother, however, did see the difference and asked, "But doesn't he look better like this?" I burst out crying, and the rest of the dream was me digging through every nook and cranny of the house looking for him. Man, that really taught me how sentimental and attached I get.

Now I haven't seen a sculpt similar to the... 'Imposter doll' yet, but if I did I'm not sure if I'd get him. I must admit that he did seem like a really, really gorgeous doll. But I feel like the doll would keep reminding me of that heart-sinking panic I felt in the dream...

 

Too many to even name, but I often have dreams about my doll’s characters, rather than the dolls themselves, either I’m interacting with the character or I’m dreaming from the character’s point of view. If the dream is interesting enough, sometimes I’ll work it into my role play!

 

I had a dream I got my grail, and then my sister shattered her... dunno if I was more disappointed I never got her, or relieved she wasn't broken when I woke up.

 

I dreamt that a Dollshe Orijean I ordered arrived in a navy blue coloured resin and his eyes darted about quickly on their own. Not scary, but just odd. I've also dreamt about finding dolls I have sold and then panicking that I must have forgotten to post them out!

 

Yes! I had a character named Sabriel. He was thin and very quick, I believe he was related to the nephilim but he also controlled the Dream World. Kind of a dark character.

 

When I contemplated getting DZ Mannikin due to being discontinued I actually dreamed about getting her. I took that as a sign that I should. Now she'll be here any day now.

 

I have the same dreams about two of my dolls very frequently. Their face ups get washed off. This time my doll was in the water and the whole body blushing was destroyed too.
I dream about them getting destroyed in other ways too.
I wonder what it means.
I must have a deep fear of losing them or what they are for me

 

Last night I dreamed I finally got a shipping notice for my Dollshe guy after 20 months and I was very excited until someone told me they had just changed the import rules and my doll was now going to cost me $400+ in customs! I was devastated. Then someone said—in so many words in broken English—that they were in the same boat but knew away around it. You had to go meet the plane with hand drawn artwork of your doll and explain that these dolls are ‘special’ and plead with the airport staff to let you have the package right off the plane. He sounded very confident.

So me and this other BJD collector with whom I had a severe language barrier sneaked into the airport heist-style via the ‘employee food court’ (looked like a miniature mall with an arched glass roof and restaurants) and found where they were unloading packages. We were in luck—we met a single male security employee whose supervisor and coworkers had just hurried off to deal with some other emergency and we could see our boxes on a cart behind him!

I launched into our sob story about our dolls and the guy eventually gave in, but just as he was about to hand us our boxes we heard the return of his supervisor and she sounded like she was in an awful mood, entering the loading bay yelling about “why everything has to slam to a halt around here whenever blah blah...”

My accomplice tossed my Dollshe box to me and turned back for his own but the officer said to run. The accomplice was spotted an instant later and I was forced to sprint back to the food court with my box. But I felt so bad. I couldn’t leave him! Maybe he could still talk his way out with his doll. I would wait.

I pulled a large cart over to the counter of a bakery shop and put my box and a bunch of bread packages in there and pretended I was lazily stocking the display while keeping an eye on the loading bay doors. (My thought process here was that this cart would be our getaway vehicle...)

While I was distracted, however, suddenly some rough-looking teenagers with busted up teeth showed up, having seen me put the box in the cart and thinking we were smuggling drugs or something. I found myself in a fistfight (at about 9 months pregnant) desperately trying to hold onto my doll box and still struggling with the moral dilemma whether I should flee and abandon the guy who helped me get hands on it, and also of course realizing I had more of a responsibility to the safety of my unborn child than to this stupid doll and I never should have come here... as I’m punching and kicking violent teenagers away from a cart filled with bread... then I woke up.

What a ride!

 

I once dreamt that I kept dropping my poor Flowne She was never damaged in the dream but when I woke up I had to go check on her to reassure myself that she was ok!

 

I had a dream that I found one of my dolls that was stolen from me (this actually happened), only it's face changed into a super angry looking one. It was creepy enough in dream that I just left it where I found it.

 

i had a doll dream last night! i went to a co-workers house and she had a bunch of bjds just piled in a corner. one was a giant 1/2 scale doll!
she said "oh yeah, those are just some dolls, my kids play with them sometimes."
there was also a tiny pukifee sized doll with roller skates and pink and purple hair and stars on her face. the only doll that was dressed.
i think now imma have to get a tiny and style her that way!

I have dreams all the time about finding the mother lode of dolls in a flea market or junk shop. Then I start looking at them and there is something majorly wrong with every single one

 

I usually have same kind of dreams when I dream about BJDs. Some reason I have quite massive collection and always forget few dolls and find them from stranges places. In some dreams I have to go somewhere and pack my dolls safely into random bag or something. Funny thing tho, I almost never dream about my own dolls, they are just some random limiteds etc. and I'm like, I don't love this particular doll, but it's okay. And those who random who I find, I'm thinking "Didn't remember to have this one! Oh well, I can sell it". They usually also are grey, blue or white colored dolls. I have no idea why I'm having these kind of strange dreams

 

I had a dream that my girl's face was falling apart and losing its color. It looked awful. Fortunately she isn't limited and I resigned myself to buying another one. Glad that didn't happen.

 

I dreamed about Dollzone Scarecrow Hal after seeing photos of his new official outfit and faceup. He sort of came to life and we had a small talk like old friends in the dream. When I woke up, I thought to myself, okay I had to get this doll. By that time it was actually way past the cut-off time but luckily I found someone who was looking to transfer her order because she didn't want it anymore.

 

I've had a couple dreams now about getting my Impldoll Avery. I don't remember the first one well, but in the second, he was totally the wrong color and had the wrong face! His face was so sad looking, but I was more upset about the resin color.

 

I had one last night.

I don’t know how I got it, but I ended up with an elaborate anthro cat girl doll. For the record, she had really cute paws. But there was an extra doll with her that was made up of just her extra parts you weren’t using. It was about as creepy as you’d imagine. Like a spider with cat paws.

I showed my partner and he’s like “Oh, that thing is way too big, you need to return it.”

I’m like “it’s a 1/4 scale, that’s not even the biggest size. You mean I can only have 1/6 dolls now?”

“Yes exactly.”

“But I have a 1/4 doll on layaway.”

“You have to get rid of it.”

anyway I woke up mad at him before I realized it was a dream.

A few days ago, I had quite a pleasant one.

I dreamt that I finally got paid for some work I previously did.

In short, I dreamt that my work was finally recognized. More importantly, that I was actually loaded.

Caveat, the money would disappear in one hour (apparently, my ex-boss was a leprechaun XD).

So I did what a sane person would do: blow it all in a day on dolls, because they are material goods and would not disappear!

So I went on the Internet and ordered the two dolls on my wishlist (even if one of them was not actually made yet).

They arrived instantly after I placed my order (don't we wish to avoid waiting times) and I proudly presented them to my current family, saying "hey, the family is complete now".

...and I woke up, two dolls poorer. Oh well!

I was a bit disappointed, but since I dreamt about my ideal doll family, I know in which direction I want to go now, so there is always that silver lining? XD

 

I’ve never had a dream about MY doll but I have dreamed about BJDs. Specifically, it was about a product called faceup-in-a-can. You just sprayed it on like a sealant and a beautiful artist faceup would appear. It even looked like a sealant bottle. My dream’s example was a tan minifee Celine painted by Nicolle’ Dreams (the one off a back to basics video). It was easy to use, too. I had a pile of blank heads and I was simply spraying them one by one. One coat, no scratches or dust, no worries on handling it after. But one did change skin tone completely for some reason.

If only.

 

I keep having dreams that I injure my dolls or their face-ups. Truly a nightmare cause I don't know what I'd do if that happened. One of my dolls has his full-set face up and Ringdoll doesn't make him anymore

 

I dreamt that I finally got my dolls, did the fabled box opening of my dreams and there were no dolls in the boxes, just an enormous invoice and a letter to my other half telling him I'd spent the family inheritance on madness.

Then I went to this amazing craft show where every other vendor was a zombie and there in a basement shop were the dolls I had ordered. I asked the seller about them and he said that they'd been ordered by some noob 1000 years ago and were now antiques worth millions.

 

Last night I dreamt I was able to pick up my Harucasting Geurim in person! The setting was like a doll convention of some sort. I had taken my box back to where my friends were and when I opened it up, it took me a minute, but I realized I had gotten the wrong doll. I looked on the box and it was addressed to someone named Joanna (?!) So I went back, exchanged the box for the one that had MY name on it, and scurried back to my friends. This time I opened the box and was horrified to see that I had accidentally ordered a sleeping head version of the doll (which is silly of course since that doesn’t exist). I felt my heart sink, I’ve never wanted a sleeping head and I couldn’t believe that I had waited six months to get a doll I had ordered by mistake XP

So yeah this morning I double-checked my order -just in case-

 

Omg I had a dream about my dolls last night. I don't remember exacly what happened but I do remember holding my dolls and taking them on trips (which I am too shy to do) and having such a good time. Maybe I dreamed about them because I have been thinking about my dolls often lately. (I'm kinda getting obsessed with the hobby all over again) which is a wonderful thing anyways my dolls are getting the attention they deserve

 

I had my first BJD dream last night. I dreamed that my mom got me an anime style cat girl. I loved her she was the cutest thing I'd ever seen. I remember putting her on a shelf in my room and just being obsessed with her. And then I woke up. I don't have any dolls yet and I don't have anything like that on my Wishlist right now. So I guess maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me something?

 

I have never dreamt about my dolls before ( I have no memories of doing so..) but I did recently have a dream that I went into this second-hand shop and this guy had amongst all of the clothes, jewelry, and home decor, up at the register like 5-7 BJD heads he was selling for $10 each and they where older sculpts and pretty yellowed, I cannot tell you what sculpts but I have a feeling they were, Volks or Luts? IDK... anyway that is the only dream about BJDs I have a memory of.

 

I'm new to collecting and haven't dreamt of any of my dolls. I haven't even played with my dolls yet. Anyway I did dream of a haunted doll trying to kill me after browsing dollmore dolls for several days. The reason why I probably dreamt of this was because dollmore dolls are pretty, yet they have a scary vibe to them that seems to be what the company is aiming for. Supernatural and scary, yet beautiful. I was scared as I browsed the photos, but found the dolls to be pretty. This dream is unrelated to bjds, but I used to dream every year on a regular basis of chuckie the killer doll trying to kill me. I always woke up scared and in a cold sweat. I hate those movies. I accidentally saw a little when I was changing the channel. That tiny bit of what i saw gave me nightmares for years. The funny thing is I find the doll they sell of that franchise sort of cute looking in a retro sort of way. I almost want to buy the doll that gave me nightmares. There was also a movie about toys soldiers actions figures I think that came to life and were trying to kill people i think that is what it was about. I used to think thye were dolls. Anyway that movie gave me nightmares about dolls too. Once I was told, this was when I was like I think elementary or younger, that my doll would come and haunt me since i cut off her hair and I was so scared after I think I had a nightmare I ended up ripping her head off and taping her face and throwing her under the couch. I really don't know what I was thinking when I did that. I feel bad for that doll now. I just remembered I did dream of bjds not of dolls I have, but dolls I wanted and needed to buy on a time limit. In my dream I was panicking because I forgot the doll I wanted was on sale and the deadline was at that moment. I was horrified i ended up missing the time to buy the doll. I woke up panicked and checked to make sure I didn't miss the order period. I felt relieved when I saw that I had plenty of time to buy the doll.

 

I had a dream sort of like that when I was brownsing dolls trying to decide what doll I wanted for my first doll, but instead of dreaming of my dream bjd. I ended up having a nightmare of a doll that was haunted and kept following me. Anyway I like dolls, but I get weird nightmares of dolls trying to kill me or haunting me. My mom would never buy me a doll. I used to ask for dolls, but she said no because she didn't like the mess the doll hairs created. I had lots of McDonald's or fast food toys, but not really real toys. I did have maybe 4 dolls in my life before i started collecting. Oh and my sibling bought me monster high dolls later on when got a job. I remember my mom didn't like me collecting dolls and wanted to throw out all my stuff. I'm not sure if she really did throw it out or if is in storage. I do know my aunt threw out most of my books and clothes my mom stored at her house temporarily. I'm now worried my dolls might have been thrown out. The problem is those were new winter clothes and items to replace after most of my clothes were stolen during a robbery. I hope my dolls weren't stored at my aunt.

 

Last night I had a very vivid dream about Tybalt. I don’t remember what happened before this, but I ended up at a random girl’s birthday party, and her mom was, for a lack of better words, a complete Karen. Somehow she got ahold of Tybalt and for whatever reason took a blade to him, completely cutting up his face and torso with these awful, deep gashes! I was of course extremely upset, and the rest of the dream was filled with the legal nightmare of trying to get her to financially reimburse me for the damage.

I also remember thinking “oh no, DDE doesn’t have any more Lans in stock, that means I’ll have to wait half a year to get a replacement because of DS’s long wait times!” I think it’s rather funny that I’ve learned so much about dolls in the last few months I know what dolls are in stock and a company’s wait times well enough for them to appear in my dreams.

needless to say I was very relieved to wake up and find Tyb safe and healthy lol.

Have any of you guys had dreams about your dolls? I’m curious to see if this is a common occurrence or not.

 

I've dreamed about receiving dolls in the mail, and finding them in thrift shops! nothing as violent as your dream, though

 

I had a dream just the other night where I had the doll I was saving up for, completed outfit and all and I was very upset to discover that the doll that I haven’t bought yet wasn’t in my possession.

I have frequent nightmares though, and I think recently I did dream that both of my dolls got destroyed somehow if I remember correctly.

And for what it’s worth: As a kid I would have horrific nightmares about porcelain dolls trying to kill me, and I never have seen anything like Chucky to trigger those dreams is what gets me??

 

That does not sound like a fun dream. I think I've had some dreams involving house fires in the past that included my dolls somehow miraculously surviving. I may have also had a few where I became a doll myself? Its been a really long while since I've been able to remember one with my bad sleep schedule hehe. :')

 

I once had a dream that Volks was hiding chocolate eggs in my dolls...

 

I had a dream that I had bought a minifee from Facebook marketplace,( from Norway, I live in Finland and have no ties to Norway or anyone from there, I don't know how this is even relevant).
And she arrived in a milk carton that still had some milk in it! I was so upset and I woke up, bummed that I didn't actually have the minifee. Oh and the milk was 2 days pass the expiration date.

 

I had a dream just last night that the Doll Leaves Louis I'm waiting on arrived!! I only placed the order two weeks ago though so I still have quite a bit to go haha

 

I haven't had a dream about my doll exactly, but I had two doll releated dreams that I thought were pretty interesting. The first was that I finally received my first doll, though it was second-hand and nothing like the doll I was waiting for. The surprising thing was that I haven't had any dreams about dolls while I was waiting (it was more than half a year and I actually had doubts about whether an SD would be too big for me), but just when I had this dream my mother woke me up because my doll arrived.

The second one was about some clothes that I ordered. They sent me the pictures of the items, but some things were missing. That day they contacted me with the pictures in reality, but one item wasn't what I ordered, so there was a problem after all.

I don't really believe that dreams have meaning and such, but these were spot on.

 

I haven't had any dreams about dolls I own or have ordered, but a couple nights ago I had a dream about dolls I've been looking at for the future
They weren't even actually dolls in the dream... they were just characters who happened to look exactly like the anime-styled dolls from Dollzone and Myou doll! Maybe I've been staring at photos of them too much LOL

 

It's very rare that I dream of dolls in general, and even more rare to dream of my specific dolls. They never look like they do IRL.

I've had doll convention dreams, mostly fashion doll cons. Weirdest ones though are Volks event dreams. Completely whackadoodle. Which makes some sense, lol.

 

I have some dreams too . I am in love with my minifee lucywen centaur and my minifee sia mermaid . So sometimes I see them . My mermaid is swimming in the sea and have fun and my centaur start running and I can hear her beautiful voice

 

I dreamt that I was twinning in lolita fashion with my doll a few nights ago.

 

I don't often dream about my dolls, but I suppose looking at doll clothes late into the night got stuck in my subconscious. Last night my Ivy showed up in a dream, and instead of yellowing she had turned blue.
I remember not being too upset about it, feeling more like "well, now I guess I'll have to restyle her to go with blue "

 

I don't even have this doll yet but somehow I've already dreamed about him... Last night, I dreamt that my DV Aiden came wayyy early, but he was much smaller than a YoSD, and he was like... only halfway assembled?? And in an unmarked bag??? I was still extremely excited though LOL.

 

I've been spending so much time shopping for doll stuff that in my dreams I just keep shopping
Sometimes can't even tell what's a dream or not.

I dream A LOT about my dolls. My dreams are not like nightmares but something relaxing. They come to life, specially my Lusion one and I play with her as I do with my niece. In my last dream, there was my Trinity doll too and she is not even at home yet. I'm afraid I'm a bit obssesed with my giant babies

 

I’ve dreamt about Nebo. Horrible nightmare where I accidentally dropped him in the gravelly dirt that’s so common here. When I tried to wipe him clean, tiny rocks scraped huge gouges out of his hips and face! Fortunately, in real life, he’s completely fine.

 

Not my doll specifically but I recently had a dream where I had to host "The Royal Family" and they all looked like life-sized Doll Chateau dolls. Not any of their actual dolls, but they were unmistakably DC dolls. One of the little ones wanted to bite me, in a way that wasn't adorable at all, and I had to keep my cool. Felt a lot like the movie Labyrinth.

When I was about to receive Mina I dreamt that she arrived and she was a different doll, and she was cracked all over but I still wanted to keep her.

 

A couple of nights ago, I had a dream about a really big (about hip height) robotic doll who could move around and was sentient. She looked like Saber (Artoria) from Fate/Stay Night. She had an SD slot where you could insert a little card that would change her personality (regular Saber, Tsundere, “Shy/Nerdy” etc) Although, she could only speak Japanese.

I took her out for a walk and was attacked by other people who also had sentient dolls. Saber wanted me to run while she fought to protect me.

I think several things probably inspired my dream:

— The obvious thing, frequently looking at dolls online while I impatiently wait to go shopping for my birthday
— The fact that I bought and played a little bit of the remastered version of Fate/Stay Night on Steam
— Rozen Maiden
— Games like “Moe Can Change” & “Dream Girlfriend”

 

I've had a few dreams in which my doll's head fell on the hardwood floor and broke. It's one of my biggest fears because she is an old and discontinued sculpt. When I woke up, I felt so relieved that it was only a dream!
