50–65cm Dolls Acorn Doll ChaCha heads

Both heads, in MIA pink resin, arrived from two different dealers on Dec. 26th and 28th, respectively.
Still thinking on whether I will keep both, just styled differently, or whether I will re-home the "back-up" one.

These heads have the most perfectly flush fitting head caps I have ever encountered on a doll head. The separation line is almost invisible.

Testing her on the body, the resin match is perfect, even considering the body is already in the process of getting blushed, which accounts for the slighter pinker hue there in the photos.
The neck gaping was my main concern as this head's opening is a few mm wider than Coralreef's Jiu Er Mao body's slender neck. The gaping is barely noticeable however and I suspect that even a thin swipe of hot glue sueding will take care of the minuscule gap and the head posing issues it might cause.

I adore that sweet smile-hint so much! Eye openings are small and may need 16mm eyes with a smaller sized iris I am thinking.

Overall, super pleased with both the heads, and the dealers! Looking forward to working on this girl, come Spring!

 

Hi! I agree, her sweet, friendly face made me desire a new doll for the first time in 4 years. I first saw it in early Feb. of last year, and subsequently found out that her pre-order had ended 8 weeks prior. After searching the internet intermittently, at the end of August I suddenly found two dealers in China that had her head up for another pre-order. At first I ordered the 1/3rd head ( she was also available in 1/4th) from UM.DOLL . On the supposed last day of the pre-order I became nervous, never having heard of this dealer before nor finding any info on them, so I ordered a back -up second head from the other dealer I had found, DOLLSPHERE .

Both ended up responding well to my email queries on the status of the heads, both provided me with tracking numbers upon shipping- and the heads shipped about two days apart, arriving 4 months after I had ordered. Absolutely go see if those dealers still offer her! If she is available, do be careful to check which size head you are ordering, I almost ordered a 1/4th , at UM.DOLL, not realizing she came in two sizes.

 

Haaa yes, finally, and so excited that the head matches that gorgeous body so well! I am still recovering from the crazy busy holiday season and all the house-guests, but hope the weather will soon permit Mr.Superclear -ing! I will think on some sweet clothes to sew her, and what kind of hair she might need.... It's nice to be excited about a doll project again! I will post updates

I'll be thinking about it. I wanted her to be soft and friendly .... was my first thought, but, two heads offers interesting options. I'll be experimenting !! My two Seola7's from DollsTown have such different face-ups they couldn't even pass for sisters

Thank you, I agree fully , that face makes me want to smile back! I was nervous about Dollsphere as well, but truly, this was a very good experience with them, I am thinking it bodes well for your and @Caramello_Cat 's orders as well!

 

I hear you Teddy, this sculpt was the closest I ever got to a Grail, and that I actually actively spent almost weekly scouring the internet for. Check DollSphere and/or UM.DOLL if the head is still available, I found both the 1/4 and 1/3 head size to be fairly standardly priced at both dealers, and shipping super reasonable as well.. She comes in MIA white or pink.

 

I will keep checking with you and for you if she ever gets a pre-order again And I think she is my grail perhaps, after all. The body she'll be on is amazing as well!

I agree on that part, as I like my SD girls to be younger as well, so I have dremeled that chest down to a very small one And excellent that she is still being offered at both dealers!
