A picture that is special to you ~

this was when i spent my first year in RI. no more lonely because of kuliyo

 

I'm really useless at taking photographs, especially cute ones. Imagine my glad when I took this one at a mini (really mini, three people mini) meetup



It is not only the first cute picture I'd ever gotten of my puki, it was also the first clear one. I do still adore them of course, both my puki I mean, but every time I look at them...well I always get the 'but they look so plain boring and ugly compared to other people's puki'. Maybe I need some cheering up with this picture

 

This is my favorite picture ever of my Embry. He just looks so nostalgic.

I don't know why I love it, I guess it just has a sense of feeling very small. it was taken pretty much the next day after I had opened him. It gives me a sense of feeling small and vulnerable in a new place, where you don't dare to venture far at first. Where you want to climb onto the bed and stay there, huddled and safe.

 

This one is my favorite of Vivian so far. I love it because she's lying there looking at a pretty yellow flower.


And I love this picture because they look so peaceful together.

 

This photo of Ermengarde was taken by her previous owner. I fell in love with it when I saw it in the Marketplace and bought the girl

The picture has been my desktop ever since; but when my computer crashed I lost it. Thankfully, the previous owner liked it too and kept a copy. She was very sweet and sent it to me when I PM'd to ask her

 

I haven't had him for long, but I love this picture. Tamesis (Dollzone Mo) sees snow for the very first time.

I'm afraid I'm spamming with too many favorites...
Drin is an older guy who still needs a heftier body. I like this one for the colors I was getting at sunset. Also, it wasn't easy to pose him, on a fairly floppy flexi-perennial body, and I was pleased to get him to do this.


He has two significant others. This is Dance, early on before Drin arrived. And yes, I was very careful about how that bit of sun was falling so it wouldn't damage his resin!


This one says a lot about their relationship.


So does this one, earlier in their time together. I never got Dance to do this pose again!

I don't think I need to explain why this is my favorite.

 

Ilari has existed as a character I've been writing/drawing about for about 5 years, before I even heard of these dolls. My drawing skills aren't the best, so my drawings end up with generic looking faces...anyway, story short this is exactly how Ilari looks in my head, and I'd never be able to draw that. So I really love this doll, and this picture in particular.

Pardon the boobies...this is my favorite picture of my June. She arrived blank and I sent her body out for a tattoo and body blushing and I also had her head sent for a faceup and a special wig made for her. She's since changed wigs and wears a long straight black and red wig but she still walks around naked. I put so much heart and soul thinking out her character. As many times as I change eyes between my dolls her eyes have always stayed sparkly navy blue

I love it so much more since she's gazing into the camera

I love how...real she looks...even though you can see her joints she still has the look of a woman...perhaps I'm strange

 

For some reason I really like this picture of my boy, Terrence ^.^!



I guess I just really love the feeling of it... playful in the snow or whatever? I dunno-but it's the one I pull up whenever I think about how cute Terrence is XD!

 

My friends ordered Luts Zuzu delf Fenny to become brother of my Pet doll fox Janus.I'm so excite and feel that my Janus must be so excite he will have a bro,So I took savens pictures presented seven days Janus have to wait for his brother Fenny to come home.This is his first day.He was cleaning snow in front of their house because he afriad his brother will slip.I love an expression in this picture very very muchXD

 

This is a crappy snapshot I just threw together one night because my dollies are so cute but it just came out so precious. My nDoll Pan, Lizzy, is the doll version of me and the Soom Iv, Dane, is the doll version of my husband so they always hang out together. I set it up so she was brushing the hair back from his face and he was looking back at her and it just came out so cute it made me make this face ! There's a lot of love between these lil' dolls. I definitely intend to set them up just like this in a better scene, this is just on the chaos that is my desk. xD

This is one that I find very special to me. It symbolizes the love between 2 different forms of life.
The Grey doll Curio is a Winter Spirit where the female doll, Dylan is just a normal human.

Mine would have to be this one:



I don't own her anymore and she looks really weird, etc but it was the first day I had her, she was my first doll and I was so HAPPY, I was this giant ball of squeeing joy that couldn't stop oohing at her and taking bad pictures.

 

This is the first real picture I ever took of Carousel. This was after a solid day's work of finishing sanding and dyeing. I'd had him for.... over a year at that point, I believe, and I'd felt kind of stymied in what to do. This was the catalyst that confirmed I made the right decision with getting him as my first doll.


This one has to tie for my favorite though. Dyed, body blushed, and wigged, and with a new face up, this was when I finally decided he was done. If I decide to make him a tail then I'll tackle that later, but it's not an essential part of his character. This is the photoshoot where he really felt complete. And this picture kind of just... it feels like him. Quiet, pensive, and a little sad. Intensely introverted and yet totally comfortably being shirtless in front of the camera. He never looks this expressive with a shirt on. Then again, maybe I'm biased.

I'll go with this one, even though it's not the best. I wasn't able to get a picture of the image that this one reminds me of-- I was watching TV with my two new boys sitting on my lap; rather, Pete was on my lap, and Billy was on his lap, and I glanced down at them during the commercial break, and the way their arms were posed and the tilt to their heads made Pete look so protective and tender (not that he'd ever admit to it...).

But my camera was in the other room. I spent an entire photoshoot later that night trying to get the same feeling of care, and I never got that magic moment back, but at least I have a few pictures that come kind of close and make me think fondly on how my boys' relationships are developing in general.

i love this picture because...Lily ( the little girl ) is my first girl and is very special to me, then i got Simone,her half big sister. i was worried that they would not bond and have sibling rivalry. so when i took this picture and saw how it turned out, i was really happy. it looks like Simone is holding the blanket to properly tucked Lily and is very protective of her. i love my girls!

 

Rare Serendipity Memory moul Sharmin arrived this morning... and i took some photos for her.

These are my girls- my first two girls. Vivica acts like an older sister to Aubree. This was after a photoshoot (including an underwear one, that Aubree wasn't thrilled about). Aubree was feeling a bit embarrassed (she was the only one I had to model the undies though, since it was made for her!), and Vivica was putting her at ease.

I wasn't expecting this sister-bond, but it seems to be forming anyway. I'm actually quite warmed by it.

 

It's so lovely seeing everyone's pictures and hearing such touching stories. I want to see more!

I have many photos that are special to me ^^ Not all of them are exactly, eh, good photography though :P

I took this the day I got my first doll. I stuck him in some pijamas I made him- don't trust doll measurement sites, people and put a wig on him, and took him outside to show my mum. Teal is especially special to me because I received after I'd been in a bad accident with many broken bones, and looking forward to having him got me through the recovery. I believe all dolls have a kind of in-built personality that it's the owner's job to find. Despite him not having a face-up, he's definitely showing his personality here: relaxed, cocky, and rather naughty Like he's saying, "Hello World!" Plus I like this picture because it demonstrates the true beauty and versatility of the El sculpt.


Here he is again, looking... exactly how he is :P That's the thing I like about Teal. What you see is what you get! This was the first picture of him I took after we'd been seperated for a month. I had missed him.


Last one! This is Clairvius, my zombie boy. Although he's had a very messed-up life and death, he never fails to soothe me. He just has such a calm, steady presense. He seems to be telling me that no matter what, at least I'm never likely to be buried alive He really helps me to relax, take a deep breath, and put my priorities in perspective. And anything that can do that is really worth its weight in gold! I've had problems with anxiety and depression, and Clairvy's helped me so much.

This one was taken on the day my Shimer, a DOC Kirill, arrived at home. I was really moved and this picture is really important to me, I find him so cute brand new all nude, and it seems he has a little smile

It's touching how, over and over, people's favorite photos aren't the most amazing ones, or the Gallery+-worthy ones, but just ones that are of dolls they love.

I have a lot of photos I treasure, but this is among this year's, and came to mind because it's of two doll characters I love the most. Neither one has the latest bodies out there, or wears outstanding outfits, but the personas I've imbued them with and that they've given back to me in stories make them ever special. I just adore this photo of my cat-girl, Angora (Resinsoul blue-skinned Fei with modded eyes.) I was so surprised by the the way this shot turned out...first, it captures her unique character absolutely perfectly...and secondly, It has an old-world painting quality about it.


Emmaline in her new Wonderland dress posing in front of the mirror...the neighbors were wondering if we were off our rocker's with the camera the mirror and the ferns in the front yard.


This shot is special to me because this was taken after her box opening. When I finally passed through hell to get everything together. I instantly fell in love! Her own personality just popped out!

This is an old picture of Kumi. I had his face up redone since this was taken. But I love this picture. It shows off his playful side a bit. He has changed drastically now (image wise)

 

That photo belongs to my first faceup attempts. With all its flaws it's special to me, because I can see part of myself in here, and that's opening up a whole new world for me (which is a little scary, too).

 

When Evz's body arrived and his head had a place to go, it was really special to see the twins together. Now the brothers are a family it is wonderful.

 

One of the first pictures I took of Quinn - the perfect pose he fell into (mostly without help) and the way the sun hit him... awesome!

 

This is Oona. My MNF Marcia on the first day I got her. She is also my first BJD. She completely captivated me in this moment. Such personality and adorableness. I knew right away this hobby was for me.

Buying Rebecca's faceplate was an impulse buy. I had her stored in a box for months before her body, wig and eyes came in. I had no idea if I would truly like her. I love this picture because it was the first moment when I realized how special she is and fell head over heels in love with my little cutie.

I have a few to add, and as several others have said, sorry for the bad quality - its odd how those can be the most special, isn't it?


Of course, my first ever picture of my first doll; I immediately fell in love with her, and she's been my spoiled princess ever since.



Jim is the special girl I take everywhere with me - this was the first time I took her out, to my favourite city.





The day Calder finally came into her own...she was the first doll/character I ever "completed", and I felt so proud that day!



This...this is the moment I fell head over heels in love with Crobidoll.


And this is my favourite shot of my first Crobis, the brothers Sam and Alex, when they were finally united!
