Yo, any BJD cons in New England? I'm in New Hampshire. I guess New York is right there, but it's still several hours' drive, and I'm quite surprised I haven't been able to find any meets or groups based specifically out of the New England area. I found one group on Facebook, but it doesn't seem active?

 

For bjd conventions in the USA in 2022 I have Dollcon Dallas, PNW BJD Expo, Resin Rose, and BJDC Austin. Are there any other 2+ day events happening? I'd love to travel around to everything this year, but I can't really justify traveling for only a 1-day thing I also have Doll North at Anime North in Canada.

 

Does anyone know of any doll conventions in Knoxville, Tennessee? It doesn't have to be strictly BJD-oriented, as I'd probably mostly go there for furniture, clothes, and accessories. I know there used to be one, but looking at the website that used to put it on, they've seemingly removed Knoxville as one of the cities they visit.

 

Does anyone know if there are meetups in South Africa? I doubt there would be any but it's worth asking, thank you

 

As many people are in New York and the general tri-state area, I never really hear about any bjd conventions in my area unfortunately. They seem to always been in whatever area I am NOT.

 

We are trying to get one started in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania area!!! Probably for 2024 (since we have to plan it and get our plan into action). Stay tuned though. Very excited to be taking on this venture.

Are there any doll conventions in Germany (and/or neighbouring countries)? The only one anywhere close seems to be the one in Brugge (Belgium) this year which I sadly can't visit...

Does anyone know of any doll cons in the midwest?

 

Does anyone know if there are dolly meetups at any of the big American comicons (SDCC, NYCC, etc)? Thinking about booking a trip so I can meet my favourite Marvel/DC creators, wondering if I should make room in my luggage for a resin friend.

 

I've been looking for meetups too, I'm not sure if there are any in my neck of the woods (middle of the Midwest)

Don't know if you've seen it since your message, but there's the Dolls Rendez Vous' "International Dolls Rendez Vous Show" in / next to Paris in France, on the 4th of december in just a month ^^

 

Yes, there is always a meetup/panel at SDCC - it's on Sunday each year- mid afternoon. If you are going, you can probably list other meetups on DOA. Sorry this is late - but there will be one next year in 2023 too - so you can plan ahead

I don't know if this maybe what you're looking for, but the Atlanta doll collectors is having a doll show and sale in May, and I know when I went last year they had a few people who brought bjds, so not sure if that's something you'd be interested in?

Sadly, I have not. NakaKon in Overland Park, KS has BJD related panels and such, but I haven't found any doll specific cons.

I'm planning on going to Japan in October or November soon and was wondering if anyone knows if there's any doll events happening during those months? I'm having a hard time looking up any

 

I don't know if this is the kind of event you have in mind, but I-Doll Nagoya will be on October 1 and I-Doll Sendai on October 29. I haven't been yet (because you have to pay to enter), but small dealers/artisans sell their goods for dolls and figures.

Hi everyone! I moved to Tokyo couple months ago, was wondering are there any doll cons here? My Japanese is still in process of improving so Japanese resources on doll events are not very helpful just yet.
And! I'm going to Dollpa Volks tomorrow so if anyone is out there too with their doll partners, we can meet up

I'm interested to know too! I think there are in Oregon, but it would be really nice to have one in Vancouver for western Canada.

 

I found a Vancouver (BC) based group on FB that does seem to regularly get together, but last I checked they hadn't gotten together since the spring. Maybe people will get together at Fan Expo? Emerald City Comicon or Rose City would be other options closer to Oregon.

Hello everybody,
When I was browsing IG I saw somebody mention a bjd convention in Warsaw, Poland. At the moment I just thought “oh, great, I’ll look it up” and obviously forgot who it was so can’t go back to find there. And there’s nothing on Google. My daughter lives in Warsaw, I go there often enough and stay long enough, I could time the visit so that I can go to a doll convention too when I’m there. Does anybody know anything about that convention? At least the name to google.
