Wigs DollShe Boys and Wigs

Random question pertaining to this thread (since I do plan to get a Saint in the very near future) do 7-8 wigs fit him better than 8-9?

 

All the wigs I posted pics of above are 7-8, with the exception of the last one, which is 8-9. 7-8 is a snug fit and 8-9 is a loose fit, so it would depend on which you'd prefer I guess. I prefer a snug fit, but a lot of times it just comes down to just going with whichever size has the style/color I want. ^^

The regular Leekeworld size is a bit big for bermann, but stays on nicely and falls nicely with a bit of velcro.

Hairstarr wigs (bought secondhand) in redwine. They don't have the elastic caps that Kstarr wigs now have, so I have a rubber band around his head and a bit of velcro on his headcap. That keeps them on quite well.

Size: I'll guess 8-9 because it's a bit big on him.



You'll have to either staple velcro to the inside of the wig cap (nothing sticks to the silicone coating inside the cap?!) or use a livestrong band or something similar to keep it on.

 

Vlad in: CanCan 35a white, it's a 9-10 and it totally swamps his head more than it does Raine xD Husky's heads are smaller than hounds

Meikyou has a Luts wig, WW-01, if i am not mistaken. fits him fine, though sometimes you get it turned 'round wrong so that his ears get covered, but shhh..

I've found, for Hound at least, that any wig advertised as being very stretchy is better off on him in the 7-8 size. (His head measures 8.5 inches around.) Anything without give, though, like the shorter hairdo wigs, is better in 8-9.

 

ALL the Luts wigs i got for my saint did NOT fit him. They were all too big. Kstarr wigs are PERFECT however. every wig i got from kstarr fit snuggly to my saint.

Blonde Mohair Short style

My eggy head Vice has a small bump in the wig of unfilled space at the back of his head (cannot really see in the pic).

Black Short Cut

Big. Very. Big enough to cover both his ears (fits better that way)

Middle Short Cut

This wig fits him nicely. But (1) it's not mine (2) He's a (black/red) hair type.

 

The hound head measures 8.5 cm, so it's right in the middle. I've found that very stretchy wigs might be big in an 8-9, but ones with not much give, or firm based ones like fur wigs need to be that size. I have a couple of Moniques that swim on him, but K-starrs or Cancan wigs in the same size that fit perfectly.

From what I've gleaned from various threads, Hound has the biggest head in the dollshe group, Saint is a tad smaller, and Bernard smaller still. However, I'm not sure where the other Dollshe boys fall in the range.

I highly recommend for Dollshe Hounds and Bermanns the 8-9 size wig with stretch cap, whatever the brand. And for smaller heads like Saint and Bernard I recommend the 7-8 size wig with stretch cap, whatever the brand. Good luck!!

Can anyone tell me how a Leeke 8-9 wig fits on a saint? Is it very loose?

Currently, I have MSD 7-8 on my saint and it's snug. Some days, I have trouble getting it on his head and other days it's not a problem :/

I don't have any blue, but this is a Jpop Kana wig in purple on an original Saint. Maybe it's close enough to give you an idea

My Hound, Ryuusuke wearing a discontinued Leekeworld L-026 in milk. I find it fits fairly well but I use wig wax to part it away from his eyes. There is a charity band around his head, under the wig.

My IM Hound, Cy wearing Volks' Hijikata wig (8-9). It fits really well. Stretchy wig cap. But I think the bangs may be a bit long. There is an elastic band around Cy's head, under the wig.

My SA Rosen, Lost, wearing a Volks, DD W-136D-60 Short Wings - Pearl Silver. The bangs are a little long but the wig cap has some stretch too it. Works well on my Hounds too. I should mention that I have a charity wrist band around his head, under the wig.
