that is My friend's new work!! it fits perfectly on him :-D!!!!! and the Mask is awesome

 

WoW!! That mask is amazing! The corset looks great on your boy, and works really well with the mask! ♥

 

EID *Model* body is closer to the Timeless Body in measurements (although still chunkier.) Clothes made specifically for the Model body will fit better than clothes just made to fit "EID," which normally are sized to be sure to fit on the EID Super Hero body, and can be baggy on EID Models.

Has anybody found a body from another maker for Venitu's head?

My Twigling Eloy has taken over the Timeless Body although he is still eyeless and wigless and without face up. See Photos, Photo Reference, tag 'Hybrids', 'Venitu head on...' for pictures. Sorry, don't know how to link discussion to discussion within DOA.


I would love to know if Dollits D.A.D. body or the Dollstown 18 year old body (obviously using the 'raiser/neckpiece') would be good for him as they are both bodies I find pleasurable to look at.

Venitu needs a 13cm neck size without raiser. Is there another body out there with a neck that wide?

I suggest the pants size. my venitu wearing 'Freedomteller's David kkunchi size!' It fits almost perfect.(I tried many size, that freedomteller's offlilne store)
and that shirt is EID model size! the EID model size has bigger neck, bigger chest and shorter arm than Venitu. somehow it fits on venitu but not perfect. :-(

I was slightly confused as to when my order got added to the production line-up (I had a long layaway and didn't know if the Venitu orders were heavy enough to delay shipping) so I emailed Dollshe. They told me my Venitu just got off the production line and is being finished up and I should have a tracking number in a week! XD

 

Ohhh man. I just came across these guys for the first time and I am sooooo obsessed with the Venitu sculpt. I'm so, so sad that he is sold out forever. ):
I really love seeing all of the pictures though! He is such a gorgeous boy! Here's hoping they bring him back one day!

 

Watched the whole topic. What he did may be different! Tell me, how is movably and obediently the body? The big difference with old bodies dollshe?

Hey sorry I'm pretty sure it has already been said here, but did Mr. Cho and Dollshe confirm what the last date that the Fifth motif heads will be available is? I'm really on the fence between buying the head now and hoping I can get a body later or justing waiting and hoping that someone will sell him on the second hand market. I haven't seen anyone selling him and I feel too nervous that I'll never be able to get him. /: What do you guys suggest?

Wish I would have found him sooner so I could have gotten one before they sold out. v__v

I hope Mr Cho will offer a new head + timeless body in the future. It is a marvellous BJD and It would be a shame for it to be relegated to history.

 

Now I'm wondering what I should do, too. Snag a head and hands in the hopes I can find a body or just try to be a complete body on the secondary market?

Sorry about the trouble with the Iple training pants! I had the white lounge pants, and they work fine for me. They're supposed to be baggy, and looked okay to me. But definitely the only Iple pants I would use because anything with a real waistband is going to be too big. I figured the training pants would be made with the same pattern as the lounge ones, and fit the same.
I don't know of anyone making clothes to specifically fit these guys yet, so we're stuck with "somewhat" fitting stuff unless you know someone or can make it yourself.

I don't have Venitu or the D.A.D. body, but I have GooHwa and the Dollstown 18 yr body.

I have been wondering about this combination for ages!

It doesn't look to me as if it is a totally happy aesthetic match.. I wish the 5th motif heads features were a tad less sharp to blend more easily with other bodies.. It feels as if the head is a litle too small as well.

[MENTION=9171]aernath[/MENTION]: For me that does not look that bad with the neck piece. And the Dollstown body would at least be available in the same color as the 5th Motif head. Could you please post a pic of the head on the neck from the side?
And I wonder how the 5th Motif hands look on that body. Anybody knows?

Aernath, do you have a picture from the side with the raiser? I'd say the neck is skinnier than I am used to (I have a Timeless Body only, no other SD male bodies) and that could be what is 'throwing' me.- really hoping that my first glance was misleading, it's a lovely body-

Aernath, i Love the line up. . First time I see these bodies together, and it is an eye opener. I am starting to see what I want from my collection.

 

aernath your boys... oh goodness. Just lovely bodies. That Dollstown body is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.

If I don't find pants that fit this guy... I'm going to scream. And possibly burn down my house. EID is too big, SSDF people say fits but the hip measurement is way smaller than Venitu. I'm so distraught. Good news is I have shoes and tops. But those legs...

 

I have just discovered that the Ringdoll RGMBody-3 has a 13cm neck!
I still prefer the Dollstown's 18yold body though.

 

I have a RGM-03 body to test Venitu head on if you're interested (and a DT18, but I still haven't received my Nabarro Sumner yet, so no neck part yet !).
The neck is pretty short though and it is a bit like the DT18 body, it is 13cm at the very bottom of the neck (at shoulder's juncture) but it thins out a lot by the top. And the resin match will probably be non existant as there is a slight translucency in Ringdoll resin.

 

Marlequeen, if you could! Just to put my mind at rest. I am looking forward to seeing your Nabarro/5th Motif hybrid too. I love the face up you did for your Dollits Hyun .

 

I have the Sumner head + the neckpart - it is an easy thing to make to fit whatever body & head you have with some epoxy I think?

 

Yeah, i've seen a lot of people fit different heads and bodies together, and some take less effort than others. Epoxy would probably work though

Here you go a comparative picture. On top Venitu (Oriental skin) on Ringdoll RGM-03 (normal skin)
Below is an interesting hybrid (IMO) I tried today as I was opening the boxes to take pics for you ^ ^, the body is on the Loongsoul 73, in environmental yellow skin.
There is no editing, and I left the head cap off with the Loongsoul body because the hook is slightly too big to fit in Venitu's head and I didn't want to try to bend it just for this shooting

 

I think the head looks good on the Longsoul body, the neck is still a bit short but it seems easier to fix than on the ringdoll / DT body. The color match seems pretty good too.

I took a new pic of my Venitu today. I wish I had a second Venitu (a copper oriental >.< !), I really love this doll...

I've got a bunch of questions about potentially hybidizing a Venitu head and I'd love a little expert knowledge:

1. Can a Venitu head fit on an Iplehouse EID body?
2. Can a Venitu head fit on a DollShe DSAM 32s body (or any other 18M bodies for that matter?)
3. Does the DollShe pale tan match any other companies and are they able to be hybridised?

Sjota, your Venitu is lovely! I really wish I had purchased a second in a different color as well while the full doll was available.
Took some new pics of my guy today too..............he's copper oriental painted by Lyn Raftis. Trying to figure out if I want to get a second head while I still can and have him painted differently.

Thanks Marlequeen, the Loongsoul body does look better. I am disappointed the Ringdoll body doesn't fit as the waiting time is shorter.

Has anyone tried Freedom Teller EID shoes or boots on their boy? Do they fit or are they too large?

[MENTION=8866]aliceBJD[/MENTION] - I don't have any Freedom Teller shoes in EID size, but I do have a few Iple EID shoes, and yes, they fit loosely. Depending on the particular shoe, there's more room and they do look a bit big.

Thanks for that [MENTION=9171]aernath[/MENTION] - it's not a bad hybrid...but not really what I had in mind for this character in particular. The EID is too bulky in hindsight.

I had some Tata's pants that I got for him that barely fit, they're so tight he can't sit in them. haha and the rRabit shirt fits although the sleeves are a tad short.

have you guys checked out Cho's Facebook ? Recently, he posted a status about him selling his new doll and asking for suggestions where to sell him. It seems like Dollshe won't be handling Fifth Motif Anymore. But in the same post he did say that Dollshe will still cast it.

I know websites cost but no way I am getting on Facebook!
Can't he sell via Denofangels? Or just via email (newsletters) and paypal? With regular updates both on Flickr and Denofangels, shouldn't he be alright?
Can't he find a website/shop willing to promote his work?
What about a seasoned ebay shop?

 

He wants your anwer on Facebook Many people their suggested e-mail & etsy and promotion through Facebook and DOA..?

Etsy works for me -- don't know what the fees are like, versus his prior arrangement with Dollshe, but it would likely get him the most customers.

I'd also advise him to cultivate a relationship with a customizer/photographer, like Dollshe's with SDink, to show off his dolls to their best advantage. His original Venitu pics didn't do much to sell the doll (who took off after OWNER pics got shared), and a good face-up artist & photographer often has their own following, which can get more eyes on his new creations.

Alicebjd, I have posted this before but here is the Venitu head on my Dollshe body. Good movement on the head but makes the neck a bit short. I think a little modification and it would work fine.


I love all the Venitu's...

 

Cyador, for those of us not on facebook - we can not give suggestions. It would be nice if he read this thread on DoA. But I think Etsy would be a good option for him. A few folks already sell bjd's on there and I think the costs are low. Posting photos on flickr would help too and he could get feedback there. Those are my ideas...
