20–39cm Dolls 5StarDoll Jadite Box Opening

Today I'm here to share the arrival of a doll I've wanted for years: 5StarDoll's lovely mantis-inspired Jadite. This doll caught my eye years ago but I wasn't in the habit of buying new dolls at that time, so by the time the company closed during the COVID lockdowns I had lost hope. My numerous WTB posts since then turned up nothing.

I recently noticed that the company was open again and selling off their old stock, and on a whim I emailed them to ask if they had ANY Jadite dolls left in any color or condition. They told me they'd check and get back to me. A week later...success! They had managed to piece together a doll from old parts made in different years, and were willing to sell it to me for a discount because of the color difference between the pieces. I happily accepted, paid, and they shipped out my doll the same day! A week later, and the package arrives at my door.

Out of the box and freed from their shrink wrap and I absolutely love everything about their sculpting. Those little mantis arms? Gahh!! This is also the color difference I was talking about, but honestly? I think it just makes them even more charming.


I found their antennae hiding inside their head!

To my surprise, their arms and legs came wired! This definitely helps with poseability.

Hanging out with my (off-topic) Hujoo Freya! I think they look super cute together.







Their name is Clover and they are going to be a little non-binary forest/insect sprite in my magical forest setting. I'm so absolutely thrilled to have this cutie in my collection after so many years of pining, and so grateful for 5StarDoll's wonderful service in taking the time to make that happen for me.
