2D Doll Waiting Room

And the other two (Kiwi and Miu) have arrived safely as well, so I'm out of here for now~! Miu and Kiwi are so much cuter than I'd expected! While Colin wasn't quite as cute as I'd thought... I was actually most looking forward to Colin too... Maybe I'll love him more after playing with him for a bit and switching out his eyes.

(Now I just have to remember to chase Legend Doll about my remaining Guard Love order next month... They said it will be ready in a few weeks.)

 

2D Doll is ridiculously fast.
I ordered a blank Cherry Tomato in white resin back in June, along with a MYou MSD female body (the new version 3).
I emailed ACBJD about a week ago to ask if my 2D Doll had shipped yet, or if I could still get the face-up. The doll was already at the dealer - they're just waiting on MYou.
That's about two and a half months from ordering to arriving at the dealer. That's lightning speed in the BJD world...

 

I just ordered a Guard love bjd! (Although I didn’t order through legend doll)
Could I ask how long was the wait for yours?

 

Almost 8 months... I ordered on 26 Jan 2022 and it was shipped on 9 Sept 2022.

But I think there was some problem with the faceup. Either Legend Doll forgot to order the faceup or Guard Love forgot the faceup/sent them the wrong order.

Here's my timeline.
26 Jan: Ordered 1/6 Guard Love Hana with faceup from Legend Doll
10 May: Legend Doll emails me to say my order has arrived but they are unable to ship it due to lockdowns in their area
10 Jun: I ask for updates and Legend Doll says they might be able to ship in early July
13 July: I ask for updates again. Legend Doll says the faceup isn't ready yet!! They say the faceup will take several weeks...
12 August: I ask for updates again. Legend Doll says they expect to receive the head in a week and will ship the doll as soon as possible
23 August: Legend Doll sends me a pic of the head with faceup and says the artist is done and asks if the faceup is to my liking
9 Sept: The doll is finally shipped from Legend Doll

 

And she's shipping! Just got the notice yesterday that my 2D Doll Tomato is shipping via FedEx!

Poor ACBJD - I can't stop ordering clothes, shoes, eyes, etc. Every time I place a new order, I always add to the comments to combine the order with another to save on shipping. They've got to be tired of me by now, lol. "WOMAN! Stop ordering stuff so we can ship what we've got already!"

So yeah - the delay is because they are combining this order with three other orders (the most recent was an order for eight pairs of shoes in October), which is per my request.

Finally remembered to hunt down this waiting room! Ordered Knight at the start of the month after pining after him for like a year haha.

 

I ordered a doll body (83 cm) in December and I still waititng for it >< ACBJD told me I need to wait for 1-2 months more... It's really slow, I received fullsets in 4-6 months in other companies

 

I received my 2d doll body yesterday. It was long waiting for me - 5 months (but not so long as dollshe, ofcource xD )

 

I'm still waiting for my order, but the layaway is paid off now so hopefully in the next couple of months! (I'm used to miracle doll wait times though so I don't mind haha)

 

I had ordered the blank 80 cm short leg boi through legend doll, and I don't see people talk about 2d a lot. Are they consistent with wait times? I've read through some of the stuff, but a lot of it is older stuff, so I don't know if they've maintained that speedy service.

 

Mine shipped a couple of days ago - he was ready mid June (took 6 months; waited extra month to ship because I was out of the country when he was ready - AC held onto him until I was back).

Its the only 2D doll I've ordered but he was in tan resin so idk if that added extra time or not.

 

Layaway finished with legend doll! It's been 4 months so not too long a wait till I get him

 

Unnnh, I bought through legend doll. This massive box showed at my house without a tracking notice lol. He's strung so well already, the small details of the veining and skin are subtle in the best way. I am obsessed with that man hip dip. It actually looks pretty natural. If any one is interested, I'll make the effort to learn to post pics properly so y'all can see him if you're on the fence of buying him. I got him on sale and he's just blowing my mind.

I bought a doll stand off Amazon though and he's got too much junk in the trunk to sit properly so buy your stands with caution, lol.

 

Jumping in to the waiting room. I just ordered a 75cm body in Soom NS to go with my DollTree Lik. Pretty excited for the boy.

 

I forgot to update! He arrived within about two weeks iirc, he's beautiful. Looks real sassy for some reason, haha.

I ordered a pair of 2Ds heel feet for him, so I'm waiting for those - they don't sell them in tan which is a shame but wont be able to see his feet once he's dressed up anyway so it doesn't matter. :')

 

I'm joining this waiting room, for 2DDoll's 68cm girl body+heeled feet that was recently released. Bought it from their Taobao store, and it'll be for my last floating head (Joydoll Lai). ETA is 4-5 months, so I hope to receive good news in March-April 2024....

(edited to add)- I ordered the 2D68 body with 3part torso and small bust, with flat feet plus option heeled feet. Switch normal skintone.

 

2DDoll has just shipped the 2D68 body to my proxy. Their total production time was 110 days (80 weekdays) or around 3.5 months, which is under their quoted time of 4-5 months. I'll have to ship the doll home from the proxy, but we're getting there!

(Updated to add) I received my doll in the first few days of April - box opening is here!

12 Dec 2023 - Ordered from Taobao
Production time - 110 days / 3.5 months
22 March 2024 - arrived at proxy warehouse, immediately submitted for shipping
03 Apr 2024 - arrived to me

 

I ordered a 2D 75cm 2.0 on 11/26 through Superbuy.
It shipped to the warehouse on 3/17 and is now pending shipping to me via UPS

Edit to add that it arrives on 3/25 and has been fantastic so far! Good resin feel, heft, posing, and the color is basically a perfect match to my head. I could not be happier with it.

I just ordered 2D Doll Ming Bao through Alice’s Collection! I ordered her brother (same sculpt) last month, 02/04/2025. She completes my doll family; I’m ecstatic!
