2008 Fairyland NaNuRi gift head

i think that they were closer in color...if i recall rightly, the headcap was always a little lighter...i'll post more comparison pics in the next week or two as i'm ordering another ws obitsu for an upcoming project, that way you can see the comparison with fresh out of the box coloring.

 

Yeah, I'd love to see the B&G body, too.

 

Okay, mine has arrived and...oh yes, he is tiny. XD
It's the smallness of the face that seals it--the eyes are placed lower in the face than on the Luts NaNuRi 07...so while that head looks fine on the Type 3 to me, this one? Pinheaded. X3 Pics to follow later. With clothes he would probably look okay, but...now I'm seriously considering modded girl bodes for him....
Mine is definitely a him, though. *heh*
The head is actually pretty close in size to the FeePle Nanuri 07--that one is a tiny bit bigger, but not much, and the distance between the eyes and mouth is pretty much the same...so if anyone is up to chancing the resin from Nobility, you could always go for a Lie body. XD

Oh, and I tried both 16mm and 14mm acrylics in him, and while the 14mm work, they are definitely a little bit small so I prefer the 16mm.

Yep. They're itty-bitty little heads... That was pretty much what sealed mine's fate once and for all as being a girl. There's no way that head's going to look right on a boy body. It's even smaller than my poor Vampire Lu Wen, who held the former record for pin-headedness!

Luckily, she works perfect well as a girl... If I'd been getting this head with the idea of making it a male, I'd be pretty grumped about the size. It's going to be a challenge to find a male bod from any company that fits. o_O

There is quite a difference between FL Normal skin and Real skin, which is a lot lighter. I don't have my sdf camilla handy at the moment, but I'll be returning home soon so I will be able to post a comparison pic. I was planning on putting my Nanuri on the SDF body anyway and then blushing it to match.

 

XD...I was rather expecting it, though, as I have last year's head, which was also teensy, and I had to go hunting for a body for that one as well...scary thing being that I actually attempted to use that head on the FeePle body at first until it drove me insane with its pinheadedness. XD; The heads actually do look perfect size-wise on the Nobility Lie body, but I've already played resin roulette with them once and don't feel like trying again--I didn't care about resin match when I bought Raym's body as he will always be dressed neck to wrists to boots, so it didn't really matter...but I wouldn't want such a bad match for Schenectady.
So yeah...I'm going to be looking for a thin, short, non-hippy girl body to mod for him, methinks....

The 'Real Skin' dolls from Luts are in no way connected to CP/Fairyland, so the resins are not the same at all.
The only dolls CP makes with Luts anymore are the 60cm Delf, which is why they come in the old NS/WS and everything else comes in Real Skin.

 

The more I look at him, the more I love him. Yikes, they are just plotting to make our floating head collections bigger!

 

psychoticelflet>> would the NS colour work well, though? mine is NS. the fact that it's closer to SD10 size makes me happy, because that's the size difference i had wished for, but i prefer to have my resin tones match reasonably well. it doesn't have to be perfect, but not all thst noticeable either. ;o;

much as the price is far lower than say, a LUTS body (which wuold be too tall, anyway), i'd rather not buy a body that doesn't match my head. D:

 

oooh, i just got my little nanu head today. :3

i'm not really put-off by the small size of it, though i'd be happier with it on a shorter body, if one is available.

but yes, i do think i'll be keeping the little bugger. X3

 

*squeals and bounces about* i did my nanu's face up today and, despite messing up a little, i'm even more in love with her now! right now she's still borrowing body and wig, and using a pair of spare eyes...but she's still beautiful!!!

Did my Schenectady's faceup today. I don't have his proper wig or eyes yet, so he's borrowing some...and he's borrowing the Type 3 body in these pics too--doesn't look that bad, really.






I was making him that hoodie...but then I realised I didn't have any seperating zippers...so the front is pinned back until I get one.
(Oh, and the spot on his cheek is a mole. XD There was a bump in the resin there which may or may not be an under-the-surface bubble...so I decided, hey, I guess he's supposed to have a mole there. XDDD )

 

The body proportion actually looks pretty good in those pics! ;3

Is yours the shorter Type 3 body or the taller one? (I found that my Type 3 body was actually taller than the Type 2 body that came with my Elf Chiwoo--it was very surprising, as I'd thought that the Type 3 would be the shortest.)

 

Thanks! Mine's only borrowing that body though...it really belongs to my NaNuRi 07. XD I'm probably going to be trying both the female and male FDoll bodies with him for size, as I'm already planning on getting both for other floating heads. X3 I'll be interested to see how your head looks on the body you've bought as well, as both Soom and Luts modded girl bodies are on the short list for me as well! =D

My Type 3 body came with my BV Breakaway, and it's definitely the smaller version--it's shorter than all three of my Type 2 bodies, including my Elf Chiwoo's. It belongs to my NaNuRi 07 head now, since the Breakaways have such large heads they don't need such a small body, but Vand does. *heh* The 08 head doesn't look that bad on the body, but it's just a little bit smaller than the 07 head, and that little bit really does make a difference to me especially when I put him next to larger headed dolls on nearly the same size body...so I'm still going for a smaller body for him.

 

That's really odd, then. Because my Type 3 body is also my Breakaway's. I had initially wanted my Elf Chiwoo to be the shortest one, and was wondering how much shorter he'd be, only to find out that he already was the shortest one. .__.;;;

Shoot... I don't know which of my bodies is the anomalous one. ><

 

That's so strange about the body sizes. I have 3 different type 3s, 1 with a Lu Wen and 2 bought on the secondary market, one NS, and all 3 are the same size as my type 2 bodies.

I'll be very interested in seeing Fdoll bodies under this head and if they're any smaller. It really is a problematic size head!

 

Well, I just bought an FDoll boy body for my incoming Yder Elf Vamp, and tracking says it should be her on the 16th...I'll be sure to take some pics of the Nanuri head on it ASAP.
...and resin-matching wise, the body I bought is white skin, as I know that matches older, more 'aged' CP white skin...the 'pure white' may match newer heads better, but I'm not sure...it may be too white. XD I'll probably buy a pure white boy body once they're back in stock just to see the resin colour, though. None of which helps with normal skin, I'm afraid...but once I see how the body looks I may pick up one in NS for my Re-Che head, who is pretty close in colour to older CP NS....

 

how short is the FDoll body compared to a CP body?

the FDoll body sounds like a good body alternative, but i need my nanuri to be shorter than all my other CP boys. D:

 

The tracking for the body I ordered has updated to an expected arrival of tomorrow. @__@ If it does come tomorrow, I should be able to get some quick pics of the head on it tomorrow evening after work, compared to Type 1, 2, & 3 Delf boys for height/size. =3

My opinion: The FDoll body is definitely slightly shorter than my Type 3, and quite noticeably shorter than Type 2. While the measurements seem to be pretty close to Type 3, it looks skinnier, most likely due to the arms and legs being thinner/more scrawny. I bought the 'White' skin, and as I suspected it is a reasonable match to most of my older heads so should match the head I purchased it for nicely...it's much darker than the Nanuri 08, though. I really like the proportions, myself, so I think I'm going to pick up one of these in the new 'Pure White' skin as soon as Mint on Card restocks them. It will probably be whiter than the head, but I think that might bother me less as this combo looks a bit too...mime like. XDDD

ETA: It looks a bit like the FDoll body is multiple colours in some of the pics, but it doesn't look like that in person--that was my OttLite + my camera's auto setting + photo editing software doing odd things. ^^;

X3 I think I will be picking up a Delf girl body to mod for him....

Yep... The neck and body size of the female bod definitely suits the head best. If I'd had any reservations left about mine being a girly-girl, Kitty's pictures more or less sealed it.

Now, I just have to find Miss Elise her bod...

 

I'm with you there, Brightfires. And if I wasn't going to make mine a girl, I'd probably go with the younger, feminine boy with the modded girl body, too. But I don't have room in my doll family for that right now, I need a real girl.
