2008 Fairyland NaNuRi gift head

I was wondering when someone would create a thread for this chap.
It kind of amuses me...if he had come out through Luts there would probably be a five-page thread already...but because CP has put the head out through their own FairyLand site, listing him as being for a FeePle body as that is what they sell there (even though the heads are totally interchangable with Delf bodies) he's been pretty much ignored thus far.

I'm definitely getting him. I will be picking up a FeePle body for my NaNuRi 06 head, and depending on how this head looks size-wise, I may end up putting him a Delf boy body instead of a FeePle one. I have no clue who he's going to be yet, but I really like his look.

 

You know, he looks very similar to my minifee b head. Just the eyes and mouth though. Wish they would sell him as a basic set. I love the sculpt.

 

Its an absolutely gorgeous sculpt and would make a great girl too. Also an adorable fairy if he/she had the pointy ears. The eye shape is just wonderful.

I can't wait to see what everyone does with this one!

 

Well... FairyLand isn't giving him that much attention themselves. I was at that site, like.. 30 seconds before coming here and seeing this thread, and all I saw were mermaids.

i will get him a delf body instead of feeple body coz 70cm is too big for me and can't fit in with my kids.
one thing i want to say too, fairyland customer service is wonderful and i will buy from them again~~ wishing that delf will soon move back to fairyland. dun wanna buy from luts........

 

To PsychoticElflet5: The head I was referring to was the old b head. It was suspose to be Seorin but Fairyland goofed. Only a few people got that head I guess. Anyways, my boy sits next to my pc and when I saw the blank NaNuRi head, I was surprised at how much they look alike. The eyes definately look alike, the lips are very similar not exact. My boys bottom lip is a bit larger like he's pouting. He's so sweet!

 

Completely agree with this - loved the mnf old B head and as soon as I saw this one in news thread it was "Hello!" - even more so when the head was shown blank. A few little differences, yes, but enough to make me rub my hands together in glee that I was wanting a cupid puki when released along puki bodies - got just enough to get the head now.

 

Of course I'd told myself "no more dolls" but as soon as I saw the Nanuri head I started working on a plan to get him. *L* In the end DollLuver and I did a little group order, she's getting a Poseidon and I'm getting an Anu. I'm still a little "buh?" over how I went from "no more dolls" to "another doll and a head" but hey... I'll roll with it.

My Anu (Abe) is going to be a college professor and my Nanuri (Shaun) is going to be his student... >_> *cough* Studentslashboyfriend *cough* Hey, he's eighteen! It's legal! I'm really excited to get them both! Hopefully the Nanuri head will work on my B&G Sapphira's body until he can get his own 60cm one.

 

I'm getting one, and will be selling him. Actually getting all three, and two extra MNF's heads.

 

I do see a bit of a Shushu influence in him... and I'd be smitten if the eyes were a little bit larger and the ears were not sticking out so much... at least they are not to the point of being monkey ears.

Perhaps I just need to see him in a girly faceup, but right now the mold seems a bit too male for me to be drooling to turn it into a Delf Shushu girl. My wallet is grateful... though it may just end up crying once there are owner pictures and heads hit the secondary market.

 

My NaNuRi '07 was going to be a girl briefly, and my NaNuRi '06 looks like a girl. I don't think Nanuris are usually given genders but either way I'm a sucker for boy to girl molds. Both my girls (well the ones that aren't Pukis) have boy heads. I'd love to see how the Feeple Nanuri looks as a girl.

 

Oh he's pretty. I'm glad to see a doll with slightly upturned lips every once in a while - I wish there were more dolls that smiled, or looked like they were smiling.

I should keep on with my hiatus, or I'll be too tempted! XD;

 

i'm hoping to get one of these gorgeous heads at some point and turn it into a girl...

I can't wait to get mine.. I had been eyeing a Feeple Riff for almost two months.. and all the event heads where just to much temptation. So I did a very small group order with two friends and got all the event pieces. Already promised the puki to someone but the mnf and nanuri are mine mine mine.

I'm sooooo tempted though to maske this Nanuri head into a girl, except I'm terrified that the head may end up looking to large on the Delf girl body. *worries* I'm so tempted to start hunting the marketplace for a delf girl body or just ordering one from Luts. I'm just scared of getting it and not fit. *sigh and sits and debates between feeple girl body and delf girl body*

 

You might be able to use a larger girl body. I have an AoD girl body for my Yder head, and while the Yder heads are small, the body seems more proportionate to the head than the CP girl body does. No neck modding necessary or anything.

 

I adore him and will hopefully be able to pick him up on the marketplace after the event. He is perfect for my Livi's (CP Soony) older brother.

 

Do you think the NS of AoD will be a pretty good match for a NS of the Nanuri head. I have nooooo idea about the resin matching.. thats why I was thinking the CP girl but was so worried about size.

 

Oh he is really pretty, I really want one. Only sad part is Have no money, and I asked for some doll stuff for my b-day but my parents said NO. Ughh them haters.

 

So since Fairyland is such an awesome company, they sent me a surprise Nanuri 2008 head with my Seorin. *glomps Fairyland* Here are some super-quick crappy photos for now...

BTW, the Nanuri 2008 head seems a bit small for the Feeple male body--might fit better on a Delf body. It looked a tinsy bit better on my Ashely's body. My Nanuri is using my Riff's body (normal skin, fall 2007) in these photos. If anyone wants photos of something specific just let me know! ^_^

Hm... I was a little worried that it was a smaller head. I have a Delf body incoming for mine, so we'll have to see how he looks on that!

That is a GORGEOUS face sculpt though!

 

It looks like a great sculpt for a girl. This may be my reason to finally get a Delf girl body.

I actually ordered a Feeple body for him the morning before I got the head. Now I'm getting him a Delf body. The event head has Dollshe default 14mm eyes and this Luts wig in size 9 (SD). The eye size is nice but the wig is waaaayyy to big. This head needs size 8. On friday (my day off) I will try to take more photos with different eye & wig sizes... so put in your requests now, LOL!

Riff is smaller than Chiwoo but bigger than Luwen. I just shipped out my Luts 2007 Juri A head, which is bigger than the Fairyland 2008 Nanuri head. But I still have a Luts 2007 Juri B so I'll get a photo with that Delf head. You can see photos of the Luts 2007 Juri A head on the same Riff Feeple body here.

Those are 14mm eyes in him? Wow, small eyes! Could you also take a pic of him in 16s?

I am looking forward to seeing him in person... I'm having a hard time picturing the actual size of the head. Any chance you could take a pic of the Juri 07 B head with him?

The head being smaller is sort of a mixed blessing - I'm not sure if he'll go with my other dolls (*sigh*) but I think he'll wear the wig I have for him pretty well.

I really should resist. I have so many boys in the SD size compared to my poor 2 girls. I guess they share the harem for now.

But honestly I don't need another floating head, and finding a body that's not a CP body (I have a couple already) was hard enough for my WS little floating head.

Based on the size of last year's FeePle Nanuri, I was expecting the head to be a bit small for the male FeePle body, so I'm not at all surprised.
*snatches up last year's head, the Luts NNR07, and Riff head and compares*

Holy cabbages...based on those pics, this year's head seems to be even a little bit smaller than last year's! Last year's is the exact same size as the Luts NaNuRi 07, just for reference, and both come up a little bit higher compared to Riff than the new head seems to. >_< Oh well...I was planning on putting him on a smaller body, guess it just won't be a Delf one. XD

He is seriously made of cute, though.

 

PsychoticElflet5 -- This is the head I am referring to. It wasn't called a Nanuri at the time, just a 'special head', but afterwards when I asked Liria if the sculpt had a name I was told that it didn't, that it was just the 'FeePle Nanuri'. Not many people have one of them, so you've probably never heard of it...actually, I have no clue how many are out there...they apparently gave out 300 but I can only think of one on here other than mine. XD

As an update on sizing, I just checked my Juri A head, and he's shorter than my Riff as well when put together like that! His face is wider, though, so that's why he looks alright on the FeePle body to me. It looks like the Nanuri head isn't any wider than the Riff head...but it's hard to tell.

 

When I first saw the pictures, I decided that I not only wanted this head, but I wanted two, to make a pair of twins I've been planning. I've been trying really hard to talk myself out of it, but seeing the in person photos has made all resolution melt away. I hope The price on these gorgeous boys does not go through the roof, but it seems like FL might be putting out more than enough supply to meet demand *crosses fingers*

as for eyes, maybe the souldoll eyes are a little bit smaller than normal 14mm, it seems that 16mm maybe better @@

Actually, I would say the problem is that the eyes red rosin used were larger than normal for 14mm--Dollshe default urethane eyes have large irises, more like a 16mm iris on a 14mm sized eye.
If you have any 16mm you should try those as well, they may indeed work better.

 

I took photos, but have not had time to web-ready them. Just too busy, sorry! I will hopefully have them up sunday night.

acanthiel - yep, they were dollshe 14mm--my MNF 14mm eyes are WAY too small for his eye well. 16 is best, 18 huge. Size 9 wigs are too big, 7-8 too small...8 inch wigs are just right. Gotta go, so I'll have more details tommorow!

Umm, someone did ask which size eyes the Nanuri head wears on CS board actually. Quoting from my reply, Nanuri head is designed as a boy and so 16mm fits the best. Apparently 18mm also works too (according to the Korean admin), but as Rosin says they may look huge.

I've been using white poster putty from Staples. My only experience in the past has been with the yellow stuff which I hated but this stuff is awesome. I'm slowly replacing all my sculpy with it since sculpy apparently ruins some eyes.
