    1. Question, friends! Is the Granado Bronze tone still close to Iplehouse Light Brown? Asking for science.

    2. I have a Granado bronze head that's been in a box for uhhhh several years, and an unpainted Iplehouse light brown from very late/early 2020/1 if that would help in any way?

    3. That would! Thanks!

    4. Cool! I'll figure out the exact years of arrival and get those photos to you tomorrow/the day after once I get some daylight down here.

    5. Thanks so much! That Bronze is a gooorgeous color! Not the best match, but I may need to eventually get a body in Bronze either way now lol.

      • x 1
    6. You're welcome! I absolutely adore the bronze colour! :D In natural light the Iplehouse definitely has a cooler tone. Still very nice, but definitely not a great match unless you're keen on a lot of blushing.

    7. Hi everybody!
I have Granado 70Adagio, very recently arrived. And while I’m happy to make his clothes myself sometimes I see an add for nice clothes and wonder would they fit him? Just theoretically. Point is sellers mark the sizes in Volks classification (I mean abbreviations like SD, SD17 etc) and l have no idea which one/several would fit him or maybe none? Maybe you have it figured out already and can share please?
      Thanks!

      • x 1
    8. Hm, I could be wrong, but I think standard SD and SD17 would be too small for the Adagio body? You'd need clothing labelled for 70+ or even Uncle in some cases.

    9. So I've been working for a couple years on putting together a doll of a beloved Original character, and the Granado Newton head was the exact spitting image of his face... but the head looked so tiny on an SDGr sized (65ish cm) body that I had to change plans, give that body to another doll, and find him a new one that gave him more typical BJD proportions. I am delighted to say that this week the body arrived, a Doll Leaves 60cm body, and he looks great on it to me. Just the look I was after! (Though the iPhone makes his head look too big, go figure. My proper camera won't do that.)
The fancy clothes I bought for him will be easy to alter to fit this smaller frame. I can't make clothes this polished and modern but I can alter them well enough.

    10. Granado is currently doing a crowdfunding campaign for the Fortis body in every size from 33cm up to 75cm.
They're asking for a $5 USD deposit and only 5 people need to order that size for the production to go ahead, regardless of resin colour.
I've wanted to try a Granado body for some time now (their heads, while beautiful, sadly do not jive with the Volks mob in my house) so I've joined in!
The crowdfunding campaign is going for a whole month (until November 4th) so there's plenty of time to mull it over

      • x 4
    11. What size are you asking for?

      • x 1
    12. I was fortunate enough to get in on the previous Crowdfund for the 53Lucifer (mine is in syringa). It's too bad for me that I recently bought a doll and sent off 2 heads for face-ups so have no funds left for more resin at this time.

    13. I signed up for the 33cm dude.

      • x 2
    14. I will order both the 50cm and the 33cm bodies. I am just deciding on skin colors!

      • x 3
    15. I'm thinking of the 70cm, also trying to decide on skin color.

      • x 3
    16. Here’s our little secret:
We actually thought the 62 cm or 65 cm would be more favored, but the 75cm was the first to complete crowdfunding.:abow:

      • x 5
    17. I saw that! I'm sure the 75cm will be awesome but I am trying to not buy more large dolls.

      • x 2
    18. I signed up for and just ordered the 70cm body in bronze! I'm excited about that body, it looks niiice, and Crocus always makes such nice male bodies.

      • x 3
    19. I caved and went for the 65 cm. Maybe it'll be a good body for this Granado event head- the resin will match!

      • x 6
    20. Being tempted by the 50cm size or 65cm size too. . . I'm gonna need to wait and see how my paychecks and bills go this month. I had a lot of medical stuff over the last couple months that I had to pay, along with an only partially paid leave of absence from work, so I'm trying to be a little careful.
      . . . Still. . .

      • x 3
    21. Well, I've paid for the 70cm body. I hope every size gets enough orders to go ahead!

      • x 3
    22. Hi everybody,
I'm also really tempted getting the new 75cm body. I arleady have some of their smaller ones and love them. I considered hybriding it with another head, does anyone know how Granados new normal compares to ns resins from switch, volks or soom?

      • x 1
    23. Hi all! I'm hoping for a 65cm body, and it looks like we only need two more people to sign up for this to fund! Can I talk a couple of you into taking the plunge?

      • x 1
    24. I ordered Fortis 70cm in new normal. I'm hoping to hybrid it with my incoming Joydoll Jacob.
Even though it's at a reduced priced, I was able to do a layaway too!

      • x 3
    25. I am looking at the 65cm but I'm still thinking about it.

      • x 3
    26. Yeah, I hear you! I had to take the time to go through my floating heads and decide who was getting a body.

      • x 1
    27. I placed an order for the 65cm body so it has met the crowd funding requirements!

      • x 8
    28. Me too. I’m so excited. It looks like it will pose really well.

      • x 2
    29. I placed my order just before you I think

      • x 1
    30. That’s what I did for the 65 today. I was so worried I would have to try and pay for it all at once.

      • x 3
    31. YAY!

    32. The rare Granado Chaka in Chocolate. Couldn't be happier with him in my collection.

    33. Wow!! What an incredible face up! :D

    34. The last time I posted my Michael he was naked and bald. I am happy to say he now has clothes and I just finished making his wig. I am going to remake it eventually because I don't like how it turned out. Dreadlocks are hard.

      • x 8
    35. Dreadlocks definitely are hard to make, I fully understand that. Still he looks super cool @Zacarias!

      • x 2
    36. @Quiet and Insane: Thanks. I got so frustrated trying to make dreads that I ended up ordering micro dreads off etsy for the next wig.

Here it is. I think it suits his character better. I will probably remake it eventually because I am not 100% satisfied with it.

    37. Ooh that looks good! Sometimes pre-made is the way to go honestly. It's such a sanity saver.

    38. hi,hi and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.
I just wanted to ask you which of the granado bodies would be best for the soom Idealian head and do they have white skin?
thank you and best wishes for all of you in the new year:dance:hug::love:D:kitty2:abow:

    39. Granado does have white resin color, but I do not have a sample so I cannot vouch for how white it is, or if it's compatible with Soom. :sweat

Thread's been quiet, eh? I guess Granado minis are more in the rage now than their bigger dolls, but I still love my 75Adagio Noah, swivel-less thighs and all. :XD: Here's his fantasy faceup head, looking like he's off to do some mischief.

    40. He's so beautiful!
My Neptune just turned 9 today (despite me only getting him a body about three years ago :sweat). I should take some new photos of my crew, but I've not had the motivation. I really should take one or two of them out on adventures for interesting photos. Maybe in the city.

    41. I used to take a lot of pics of my boys. Then the size of my collection got... large and I rarely do now. Liroshan (Crowdfund 53Lucifer) is now 7 years old and Illarion (15Lucent) is 3 years old.

      • x 1
    42. Poor Jane's body got snatched by Impldoll Lydia's head, and I need to do some color-matching...

    43. @Quiet and Insane I totally get you -- sometimes the weight alone of the big dolls dissuades me from packing them up for an adventure. I can handle lugging around one 1/3 scale doll, but group shots... nah, forget it. :sweat

@MaleficentMrsofEvil Good luck with your color-matching! I tend to forget Granado has Jane, because their offerings are mostly male sculpts.

    44. I live in New Zealand and have just managed to snap up a Raguel on an Evol body in what I suspect is white skin... and I got it for NZD$320. At the time of purchase $1 NZD is USD 0.54c. So that's a pretty insane bargain. I'm currently waiting on my mum to find a safe way to courier him to me from the other end of the South Island.

    45. Great to see Raguel @Mahgiep -- even tho I love my Noah, I do miss Granado's older sculpting style. I'd prolly resurrect my Michael as a different character since he's been moldering in storage for too long.

On the other hand, I've been cultivating hoya plants recently. One particular species (lacunosa) especially appealed to me because they look so nice with the big dolls. Granado Noah (and Iplehouse Scarlet) are here enjoying their living decor.

    46. I have a Hoya collection too!

      • x 2
    47. Oooh they look beautiful (as always!!) I also have a couple of hoya. Two inherited from my grandmother, and one that I've bought. I should take some doll photos with them next time they're in bloom!

      • x 2
    48. Hehe good to know some hoya-heads @Mahgiep and @Quiet and Insane  Of course I do not keep the dolls where plants are being kept. Grow lights can turbo-charge yellowing, and my Noah is already unevenly yellowed as is.

On the other hand, Granado's doing a mass continuation of their old-style heads. And there I was the other day, thinking of how much I missed their more rugged sculpts. A good thing I held on to my Michael, I guess. :...(

    49. I saw that! I'm a little shocked to be honest, I sold my Michael years ago, and am looking at selling off one of my Enoch heads. Ironically the one I'm keeping was the mistake they sent me. I'm just not vibing with the other's character. Hopefully they bring out a body that's similar to the Zen but without the crazy muscles. I'd love him to be an ethereal elven type.

    50. I nabbed a Remiel head, as it's the last chance, even though I don't have a character for him- I just like his face a LOT. I think he'll be going on a bust stand, lol.
I'm excited for my Fortis 64cm body in the future, and I can't WAIT to see what bodies they do going forward. They're always impressing me.

      • x 5
    51. I'm really hoping they'll do something similar to the Zen but without the super sculpted muscles!

      Congrats on the Remiel too!

      • x 1
    52. Thanks!
Yeah I hope they do some variations- I know instatok algorithms like the shrinkwrapped body builder look so it's Technically Popular, but I don't have any dolls I want that for. I'd love a lot more soft realistic muscle.
