@Jeanemon it looks like Boyd. He's very cute!

 

He's super cute with his little duck lips. I bought him as an impulse right before I left the hobby, so I'm like 'uhhh whomst are you, sir". His skin is still a really nice color, even after like eight or nine years in a box.

Edit: So I took the box fully out and found the slip at the bottom. He's a Xavier!

 

I got my V01 back from a Pepstar faceup and he looks so gorgeous to me now. With the newest VIP showing up it's nice to have one of the originals.

My Noah is back at the faceup artist's to remove his "makeup foundation" and bring his color back to Granado New Normal. Really excited to see how he'll look once the work's done!

@AntarelNefertili - I mean, I'm already 100% down to buy this guy. Ughhhh he's so handsome! But which resin colour would be the smartest choice given I have absolutely 0 plans for him?

@Kiyakotari - Ahahaha yep that sounds about right! I've not managed to do that yet, but I have had eyes go off on adventures when a table has been knocked.

Personally, I'm very torn on the new head. Love the smirk, but I'm less crazy, personally, about the nose...at least for any of the lads I need to shell. Sigh...Prolly just as well...

 

Anyone with the Evol or Embody, how hard is it to clothe these guys? And are they really 70CM?
I have a character I've tried twice to get right and I'm thinking it might be easiest to buy a whole doll from Granado when they release the head I want (big if I guess lol but it's better than using the body I currently have which I hate so much I can't take it anymore)

 

I have the vindoll version of the Embody that is 68cm with head but the resin one claims it is 70cm. (I'm no help at all )
Oh he can wear Ringdoll 03 and Dollmore Glamor model clothes and shoes.

How similiar are soom ID75 body and adagio75?

 

I could let you know when my Embody arrives. If it arrives in time given the lockdown.

 

I guess I should be thankful I accidentally let go of my guy's "special parts" elastic when it was just the two of us in the room. (Well, hubby kept accidentally knocking off another doll's magnetic peens from the refrigerator before, so I ended up storing them in a pickle jar instead.)

The Embody/Evol heads are quite tricky to hybrid owing to their petite sizes, so if you have no patience/funds for trial-and-error, buying a full doll will save you a lot of trouble in the long run.

I don't have any Soom bodies so I couldn't do a comparison with my 75Adagio, sorry! However, the 75Adagio definitely prefers large heads for things to look to-scale.

 

Hmm. Upon seeing more images of V-12 I'm really torn. The first few images they teased showed him looking so smirky, but in the most recent photos his smirk doesn't seem quite as extreme. I have a month to decide I guess.

 

@SteamWitch yeah I think the vinyl ones might be a little smaller? I hope so lol I really want him to be like exactly 70 still he’s probably not that much tinier so if I can get him clothes that easy it would be great

@Quiet and Insane lol you never know! I really want Gabriel and who knows when he’ll be released next!! It might be years (or i could just get the body and wait for the perfect head while using one of the ones I already have)

@AntarelNefertili im not worried about head size. I have a lot of Granado heads and all of them are hybrids. The problem is the impldoll body one is on…I hate it so much. It’s the worst designed body I’ve ever had and I have 3 Iplehouse dolls lol.
I’m so tired of dealing with it I’d rather replace the whole doll and start from scratch.

but I haven’t owned a granado body since their original one way back in the day and I’m really picky about the height of my guys (but the pure torture of that impl body might make me ignore a cm or two tbh)

I got my VIP email and I’m both tempted by the new guy and also think he looks like Henry Cavill a little which turns me off. Tho Friday when I was really looking at him I was also watching the Witcher so that might have been it

 

It is Robert Pattinson, (The Batman) I recognized him immediately but as soon as they said he was British I was positive.

 

omg you’re right!! I even had that thought but seriously I watched the whole first season of Witcher and that’s all I could see.

ironically I don’t want him either (even tho he’s now my favorite live action Batman)

ETA if I wasn’t on my phone I’d post Moon Knight here since he’s a V05 even if you can’t see him under his mask. After 5 years of owning him his actual costume is done!

I thought V-12 looked a bit like Mat Smith, but then he has one of those doll faces that looks like a few actors mixed together. /shrug

 

Now I see they’re rereleasing Noah. I wanted him for Nightwing before I decided to scrap Nightwing.

V-12 is modeled on Robert Pattinson. I noticed it after they posted the second preview picture on IG and I am not much fan of him. Luckily I waited a bit. I need a Syringa Evol body for my Dark Lord Enoch, I think I am going to order it but I don't know if I should get Uriel too, since he's one of those I want.

I have also an unpainted Michael that needs face up and ear mod.

 

I did it. I fell for the V-12. He's just got such a delightfully masculine face, Granado is so good at them. Do I have a doll planned? No. Am I gonna collect heads on bust stands? Yeah, yeah I am.

 

@VampireAngel13 - Hmm. Granado will cast heads (and full dolls I think?) for vip members even if they're not currently up for sale. That's how I got my Enoch! If you've bought from them directly before it might be worth flicking them an email?

Hrmmmm I'm waffling even more on V-12 now. I'd be worried about accidentally making him look more like RP, who is probably a great guy, but not my cup of tea. HMMM.

well I did not know that was a thing, but it makes sense now that they are casting me Garden for my tiny guy even tho he was not available at the time (he is now tho!!).

I didn’t know VIP status came with more perks than just the heads (which I haven’t gotten since 08)

 

Oh yay!! I didn't know either until they told me after a run-in with an unfortunately popular dealer, who is not an official dealer for them. You might remember the Enoch fiasco from a few years back?

 

Your Enoch fiasco reinforced my "always buy directly from the company whenever possible" rule, which came into force when MoC closed shop (it was just a preference before that if I wanted a doll I couldn't get through MoC) Doll companies are much more accommodating than dealers imo, but then, I don't really buy dolls on layaway, which seems to be a big selling point with dealers for many people

 

I've always been a "buy direct" person when I can (looking at you DZ/DC ), but I'm just so cautious with dealers now. Literally just using Alice's or BJDivas if I need to.

 

Two bodies and two faceups later, Guórén's Noah reshell is finally complete.

Thank you! I am now emotionally ready to let go of his previous shell (my hybrid Granado Michael) now that he's properly assembled. Even though there are still leg movements that I'll miss because he doesn't have thigh swivels, I can forgive the Adagio body for it.

Besides, he's an unexpectedly champion seiza sitter, actually better than the Angell Studio body my DF-H Takumi Kazama is on (shown below chilling with Noah).

And now, after six years of being a floating head...Claudio has his own body!!
He's on the Embody in tan with the v.3 jointed hands. They even resin matched him for me! Not that you can tell because his face up is kinda dark. Damn this is such a gorgeous body. Much lighter than I had anticipated and omg these HANDS! Absolutely buying more jointed hands for some of the other dolls in my crew these are incredible.

Congrats on getting him out of FLoating status!

I seriously am thinking I need to sculpt a bunch of neck and shoulder Bust Stands so I can collect all the beautiful doll faces I want without taking up space with too many SD+ sized dolls. I adore almost everything from Granado and Simply Divine, for example but I just can't do too many more big dolls.

 

Congrats on getting him a body and I agree those hands are amazing. I have a pair for Rich and wish I had more.

 

@Rosslyn - Thank you! I've had him sitting on my desk the past couple of days and I just keep getting lost in his sweet face. I think display busts for a collection of lovely heads is a great idea! I've been debating doing something similar for the heads that share bodies so that I can still see them when they're "off duty".

@SteamWitch - Thank you! This is my fifth pair of jointed hands over the years and I have to say, these are by far, the best of all of them. I wonder how hard it would be to take apart Iwan's v.1 hands and wire them like these ones?

 

Hope someone can help me as I am currently on the hunt for a body for my pre-ordered morolab2 head. Do any of the colour options from Granado match Switch's Mocha Brown?

 

Been a long while since someone posted here @_@ (couldn't take much photos the past weeks due to Real Life demanding I pay extra attention to some things). I unfortunately have no Switch resin samples and all my Granado colors are New Normal, so I cannot be of help with the comparison, sorry!

Anyhoo, here's a photo of 75cm Noah side by side with his 65cm mate (probably 66cm in the photo because she's leaning against him on heeled feet). I've actually received a shipping notice from Granado on his jointed hands, but alas, its tracking has stalled since the 21st and who knows when it will update again.

@Quiet and Insane Thank you! I still haven't totally gotten the hang of posing the 75Adagio because it has fewer joints than I was used to, but hey, if your dolls can pull off sexy scenes just fine, I call it a victory.

sadly now the Adagio body is off the maybe someday list for me - I hate split knee and/or elbow joints It's an inconvenient prejudice sometimes, but one I suspect my finances are thankful for

 

@Girrl Even I have to agree that his elbows are probably the least aesthetically pleasing of the dolls. Funny thing is, his knees have that more elegant-looking "double jointed peanut" look. The Vigor body doesn't have the split elbows, so not sure why Granado didn't implement it on the Adagio.

On another note, my jointed hands order suddenly showed up at our doorstep after the tracking pretty much went kaput the day after it was posted. I posted a quick edit on IG, but I have to second all the good feedback on those little handsies. Wired and all, they're the best of the jointed hands currently in the crew (and I have Impldoll, Doll Legend, and DF-H).

V12 is a winner with blue eyes. I got him in Windfresh. I also had them do his faceup since I knew I's never be able to him justice.

Hi everyone! I had a little question which I couldn't really find an answer for on the site (though maybe I just looked at the wrong places). I really want Enoch in resin. I already have a vindoll enoch and though I adore him (his body got snatched by another doll) I think I'd prefer him to be in resin. However I know Granado doesn't keep everything on order. Is there any way of knowing when they might rerelease him? Especially the one with elf ears (dark lord enoch)?

@SteamWitch - Ahhhh, he's lovely! Blue eyes do look good on him, and that face up is really nice!

@AllyCat - If you've ordered direct from them before then you can send them a message and request the sculpt you'd like. That's how I got my Enoch!

@AllyCat I have Dark Lord Enoch in Syringa, he's on the Evol body. You can wait till October because they release him every Halloween along with Lich King Gabriel. But it you can ask straight away, that's better!

I'm waiting on a Granado Embody female body, and I snagged all the hands and an extra bust.

I checked out the comparisons between the Granado female body Nuevo and Supia, but anybody have pictures of the female Embody? Comparisons between the Embody and the Nuevo?

 

Oh I didn't know they rereleased them every year! I might just wait until then. I am not in a hurry because I have him in vinyl but I recently got a Dollshe Arsene and Ijust love his size and heft and even though he doesn't pose as well as the vindoll body I just seem to prefer the feel and weight of resin and as I am IN LOVE with Enoch's sculpt I think to do him justice I need him in resin .

Ooh in syringa! Such an intriguing colour! Would you say he's more blue or more grey?

 

Syringa is a lilac-toned grey. Syringa is also the genus name for, among others in the Oleaceae family, the lilac tree so that makes perfect sense. I have a 53 Lucifer in syringa and it's gorgeous (I'm wildly biased obviously).

Also: Thanks for these pics, I have my own V12 home now but I am saving him in the Head Box until I can give him his own bust stand, but it helps to see how good he can look with a faceup!
