As a fan of Sebastian Stan, I thought the Uriel was just a similar face, but when I read the character setting I thought the new Uriel character set is very disgusting, he used the experience of Sebastianan's childhood as the experience of Uriel childhood character set Up, but his stepfather was written as a bad guy by Granado. Very disgusted with this behavior.

 

The changes to his life story were necessary to avoid accusations of completely copying a specific person. And violence always adds drama and pathos to a character. So, just saying. A lot of the Granado characters have some sort of sob story. I think this is in keeping with their storyline that these damaged souls gather to build something together.

 

@Quiet and Insane The image of your little heads chasing you around, nipping at your ankles, makes me laugh! They probably want more height to keep out of Iwan's clutches!

 

Uriel is, at most, an homage to and/or an inspiration by Sebastian Stan. He's Uriel, not Sebastian. Unfortunate as it is, many people have traumatic pasts and it isn't fair to say that Uriel's is a copy of Sebastian's, especially since elements were changed. Furthermore, Granado never said that Uriel IS Sebastian, so he's not a copy, nor are any elements of his fictional backstory profane to Sebastian's real backstory. Authors, artists, and all kinds of creatives have forever drawn inspirations from real people, heck, even hobbyists who create take elements of things and use them with adaptations. I'm not sure why this is such a big deal with Uriel. I see similarities between Uriel and Sebastian, but honestly? The similarities aren't even close enough for Uriel to be a portrait sculpt. Crocus stuck more to his own style and Uriel looks like an inspired-by creation rather than a direct copy of the real person's looks. I think Crocus has the ability to make such a copy should he choose to, he probably had to do similar exercises like sculpting from life like many artists do in their training, but he didn't do that with Uriel.

 

Crocus said the Uriel is not Sebastian Stan but he use Sebastian Stan's experience, every Sebastian Stan fans can see who he is. Uriel can have a complete set of characters, do not need to use the experience of others，but Crocus not do this.

 

Lots of companies have done that kind of thing before. Something like a quarter of Iple's female sculpts is supposedly recalling actresses (as I've said before I can't really contribute much to the backstories discussion as I'm unfamiliar with celebrity biographies - only talking about visual similarities). Girrl explained the legal situation here - everyone can have an opinion, but the law says Granado are allowed to do this.

 

Yes, he's a character in my original stories. I don't have a name for him yet - the idea for character came first this time. And yes, that is a Granado (beardless) faceup for Neptune. It's a bit lighter than I expected, but so beautifully done.

That's right Apart from the Vipos you can order all Granado sculpts through them. (The Vipos too while they're up, but they go off again when their order period is over, unlike the others who just hang around.) They don't list all heads separately - small wonder given all the companies they work with! - but they will add them if asked.

I made the wig (first attempt). It's shorter on the sides than down the middle. Just don't call him a rooster unless you want a spiked fist in your face. And apparently I had stuff Balthazar could fit into, which means no sewing for me right now lol. (IH SID top, pants from MoC, shoes are from Tata). He barely fits into everything, but it fits. He can even sit in the pants without them coming undone (though it looks like he's aroused do to the large man bits the Evols have XD )

@fishcake - It is a pretty funny image. The good thing about these two characters is that neither live in the same "world" as Iwan and thus are safe from him. That said, as floating heads they may still be used as props on occasion.

Lol, yeah, Rinzer is giving bunny ears. I couldn't get his arm to stay up higher, but I was hoping it would still be visible. XD

 

I saw that @LuckyXIII Balthazar looks awesome, his wig looks like a small fire up here on his head, like Hades' hair in the Disney movie.

 

@fishcake -- Your lovely Neptune looks quite Neptune-like in the blue cloth and with the crown-like circlet in his hair...

The Granado faceup is just perfect, I think. Realistic and subtle, but brings out his great cheekbones and pouty lips! (hmm... this spell-check doesn't like "pouty")

 

He is supposed to have kinda wild hair, so that works XD

 

@april I am so happy I got the Granado faceup--and thank you! I need to remember to always save a little extra to have them paint the heads, even if it means a little more waiting! (the crown is actually a bracelet--I need to finish his outfit. It's too bad he looks so good with nothing

I agree that grandado face-up are great, very well done and soft almost realistic which is something that require skills, so surely worth!

 

I agree on the Granado face ups. I love them so much that I've been getting them when I order now. I did get Uriel blank though since I have no idea what I'm doing with him.

I was just browsing around looking for suits for my Pancho. I finally found what I'm looking for for a good price. Now I just have to remember about it when I have the money to order it. They do custom sizes too so I can get one that fits perfectly.

First I found one that was exactly what I wanted at Dollmore but it was too small (both Model and glamor model are too skinny!). Then I looked at FreedomTeller because I know she does suits. She wants $145 just for a jacket and it wasn't the right color. So I was looking for something reasonably priced. I found what I want, for a full suit (including socks even!) for the same price FT wants for just a jacket, at Stacy'sPinkOcean. I was actually going for black, but grey works too. I'm going to see if I can get a solid black wasitcoat instead of the plaid. If not, they have them separate too so I can get another one to have options.

 

I've been looking for a suit too for my Evol guy, is that the body that you're hunting for? I'm worried about how high those pants are cut though, but that could just be a personal preference thing on my part.

 

I'm looking for the Lads body. Since they do custom sizes, you should be able to get one to fit an Evol body too.

 

@LuckyXIII Stacy is usually willing to substitute fabrics if you ask. I really like her prices and service.

And I missed the bunny ears.

 

I put JoonKi (V01 3rd, far left) on the Dollshe Arsene body which is smaller than the new Mystic body but he looks great. V08 might wind up with it.

Stacy's Pink Ocean made some clothes in Embody size for me. I've only tried one thing on and it fits--but then, it's stretchy... But they were great at communicating with me, and really wanted to make things the right size. I was pretty impressed by their communication and willingness to customize--without charging extra!

I'll post some pics when I can...

 

@aernath I most definitely agree with you, you can never have just one Granado! Even though I technically only own 1/3rd of one Granado he will only be the first that is for sure.
I just ordered a head, their new model Uriel. He's going to be my Logan, King Logan from Fable 3.

I waffled on the purchase for awhile before I figured I should just go for it and get the head since its such a uniquely good match for Logan's face. I'll save up for his body. Planning on getting a Embody since its the build I want for Logan and it'll fit just fine. Also planning on getting a Granado Lads Plus for another dream doll.

So yeah, love this maker, and can't wait to get my new baby!
