@Quiet and Insane - I bet you had the hardest time getting Iwan out of there at the end of the day! I'm sure he looooove playing with all the equipment! He looks perfect there!
@fishcake - Wow! Sicktress' did a great job with your girl! She looks very nicely natural!
@Snowy - Yes! Two sleepy furballs in the lap definitely make you want to never move again! lol Sometimes even just one will do that.
I am hoping to manage to get Neptune's head. And that will likely be it! Crocus definitely needs to make lots of cute girls for several months!

@aernath: XD that's true. BUT! I still got some work done today. Not for my Granado crew, but at least some BJD and cosplay stuff.
I'm actually hoping to be able to make some more clothes for Virgil. I still need to adjust his uniform and he needs some casual clothes. And Katrien (will you finally tell me your name, you damn cutie?!) needs something cute. I already bought her a cute dress, but I kind of want to make something for her by myself.

@BlitheFool: ... You believe the Granado temptation will ever stop? :3

Evo Mars arrived on the tenth of October but it took a few days until I got around to opening the box.

Love your picture, Mars is fantastic! Did you make the bears? They're great!
I was surprised when Crocus offered such a dark face up, I wondered if he based it on someone he saw.
What do you think about the joints? I see you tried to hide them. Are they intrusive?
How would you rate its posability compared to your other BJDs?
I sound like a survey form!

 

@fishcake - Haha! I need that microscope more than he does! The lab coat actually belongs to one of my other guys as Iwan will get his own old-timey one(s), but the rule is you need to wear one in the lab and that counts for dolls too!

@aernath - Tell me about it! There are so many fun things to play with in a lab. Now I need to make one for him too...
I agree with you about Neptune, that face is too good to miss out on. Crocus does need to make a bunch of cute girls. XD

@Snowy - Hahaha! That's my lab, and there's nothing in there that really interests him. Rocks are boring apparently...although it has given him some ideas as to what style of lab he'd like me to build for him.

I agree Crocus needs to slow down. the new heads just arrived and I really really shouldn't get any more from money space and time perspective. how many planets do we have left?

 

@Snowy - She is so cute! Tell her she needs to give you her name soon, or she'll be stuck with the sculpt name! Though that works just fine too.

@Mire Lapin - So nice to see a Mars finally make it home! He looks great! Dark resins and faceups are just troublesome to photograph. I can't wait to see the faceup you give him! You'll make him super sexy!

 

@ATYL Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn. Not that I am counting or anything Venus thanks all of you on Sicktress' behalf, too!

 

Help - how do I make the last posting show up first?
I too love the new layout but it is going to take this old brain a few weeks to figure it out. On top of that we are in the middle of moving and I have been so exhausted that I am doing some dumber than usual things. I sent a thank you card to a wonderful friend who brought us dinner and signed it with my name, my husband, our dog and our "son" who is married and has not lived with us for a long time. She called to ask if Eric was visiting as I had signed his name...oh...embarrassing!

 

@jo1961 Don't feel bad, Cat had to mention that she had found the smiley faces before I checked the toolbar above the text.
I'm not sure how to rearrange the thread display but I will look around. Moving is probably the most stressful things you can do that's "normal", especially as you have renovations going at the same time. I figured that when we moved from NJ there was literally no part of the house my fingers hadn't gone over, except on the exterior. May all your dolls travel safely too!

 

According to the thread about this new forum, you cannot sort the threads that way and will not be able to. I'm glad I never did it that way myself or it would dive me nuts. It's bad enough we still can't sort our watched threads yet. I'm super annoyed we can have folders for our messages anymore. I have a ton and just adding the prefix's still doesn't make it organized. My ocd with needing things organized properly is not liking this new site at all.

 

It's certainly a lot of fun to play in. I love lab work and it only made sense to have a doll (well two actually, one's OT for this thread) that reflects some of my passion for science. Though I'm not quite as willing to experiment on people as Iwan is, I prefer rocks.

 

>_< So I finally got the eyes I had ordered for my Uranus... Only Soom messed up and sent me 14mm instead of 12mm. I mean, it's not like Uranus can't wear 14mm eyes; Hachi's been temporarily wearing 14mm eyes for a while now, but 14mm just looks a little too big for the look I want for him. First world problems though... and I know other people have had way worse problems with them, but still... First time I've ever had an issue with them, and I'm kind of bummed. Hopefully once I get in contact with them, they might just up and send me the right size? *crosses fingers*
Q_Q At least his new temporary eyes will be in the right color.

@Snowy, I really like Katrien's slightly retro eye makeup. Maybe she wants to keep the name Katrien, and that's why she hasn't told you who she is.

@Mire Lapin, your Mars looks amazing! I see he's an animal lover-- bears and a really big cat.

@AirimirOfGondor, I see what you mean, the 14s look a little big. Beautiful color for him, though!

 

Honestly AirimirOfGondor I would just put them away or sell them--I have been waiting over a month for...a wig from Soom. A wig.

(Also Safrin has some Soom eyes in stock)

 

@fishcake I would, but these were really the only color I want for him. >_< I looked for weeks to find what I liked, only to find these were the only ones! XD I did look at Safrin first, since I know they have some in stock, but they didn't have the color I wanted.
I had to run a group order to not get smashed by the shipping, but yea, it took a little over a month to get here. I did post on Soom's Q&A so maybe they'll send me the right size? But in any event, I can live with them too big, at least for now.

 

Man, that bites. But at least they're not hugely big or small (as in, unusable at all). Poor guy. He's just going to have to wait a bit.
I hope they have the right size ready to go for you! You may have to send them those back, but they're too big anyway.
Very nice color! And looks good in him! I always like dark hair with light blue eyes. It's a good combo.

 

AirimirOfGondor - Those eyes really are a lovely colour! But I definitely agree that the 14mms look a little too big. What a bummer having to wait that long.

Well if I'm not misreading the response to my Q&A thread, it looks like Soom may be opting to just ship me another pair!(?) Maybe they figure one pair of eyes isn't enough to warrant returning the 14mm for an exchange.

How have I only just discovered the hunkiness that is Granado Evol? Mars can grace my desk any time he fancies. Uranus turned my head for sure, if he does come out in an Evol I'm stuffed! What delicious boys!

 

Another Neptune teaser was posted on Facebook today...they're thinking of releasing him next week...oh lordy I'm not ready for this.

The Evol body is new with the Mars sculpt. He is just now starting to ship out, so there aren't very many people that have that body in hand yet to make clothes from.

 

You and me both LuckyXIII. He's too good looking, and I agree Lilla, next week will be problematic. Here I was, happily saving for something different (that I've wanted for several months now) and a mere week from my goal Crocus goes and does this...

 

I bought a pair of stretchy jeans sized SSDF. Fits Evol very well.

I just saw the new pictures. Unbelievably, I am safe this time again! I don't know if this is the effect of his story, but his eyes look too sad to me (feeling extra sensitive lately ). If it hadn't been for this, I would have been doomed as I love the rest of his face. No bronze Neptune for me, my purse is somewhere having a little jig.

 

I'm the exact opposite, I like him a lot. The Evol body isn't for me, but I might go for a head ... then he can share my Uranus's Nuevo body until I find a suitable substitute. (If there's anything left of my bank account when my cat's vet bills have finished with it, that is!)

Sharing my Gabe here, just got him off the marketplace for the body, really (the old 68cm body, intended for another head, and I really wish Granado hadn't discontinued that body) but I love him. And Neptune is definitely coming to my house. He would be my first "hunk" but I have some big girls that are insisting. . .

I'm sure he's the same one. She hasn't been back on DoA for a month. . . .I have a Fabio but his head is in a drawer; I have a Dollshe Hound head on his body and prefer it. But I do love many of the newer Granado sculpts.
