Violet was one of the dolls that got me interested into BJDs in the first place.

Her engineering, oh boy. She's such a pain to pose compared to my other dolls (including a single-jointed art doll, which is saying something).

Publicly proclaimed to be the youngest child of Ikoma Jinsuke and his wife Bayushi Kaguya, Airinko (affectionately called "Rin-chan" by her family) was in truth the daughter of Jinsuke and Shosuro Okuni, Kaguya's longtime lover and best friend. Airinko's conception was done with the full approval and encouragement of Kaguya. Nothing could please Okuni more than to give her beloved Kaguya a child she could raise as her own; a daughter that they're both mothers of, essentially (with a happy bonus being that they both dearly love the father, too). Kaguya brought up Rin-chan alongside her own youngest son, Aijiro. She had two older half-siblings, Kokichi and Kokiden, and an older foster sister, Maiya.

Airinko was treated with the same amounts of love and discipline bestowed by Kaguya and Jinsuke on their own natural offspring, and by all accounts, Rin-chan was very attached to Kaguya and considered her to be her mother. Still, hints of her true parentage manifested in her noticeably dainty habits, and in her lack of the powerful spiritual attributes that characterized Kaguya's other children. She was also physically frail compared to her siblings, and was more vulnerable to catching illnesses than was normal. Still, she was considered to be a precocious little girl who would probably make a good courtier one day. Her favorite sibling was her half-brother Kokichi, who often took care of her during her illnesses and would patiently put up with her constant requests for tea parties and dress ups. Although she hardly ever saw her half-sister Kokiden (who was being raised by the Scorpion Clan), Airinko could be guaranteed some sisterly fun during her oldest sibling's occasional visits to her birth parents.
