Sewing Zip-up hoodie for Minifee (Now with pattern for 65cm SD too!)

May 7, 2022

    1. Helloooo, friends!

Several people contacted me to ask for a pattern like this, so I figured it might be appreciated here. It's a zip-up hoodie for Minifee and other slim minis.

You can download the pattern directly here:
      https://www.ithilear.com/serindemyuu/patterns/minifee-zip-up-hoodie.pdf

Or visit my pattern archive for more stuff I've made:

      EDITED TO ADD:
I had a lot of requests for an SD version so it's now available for 65cm dolls, too. It fits my SID guys really well, and is a little comfy-baggy on my 65cm ladies :)
You can download the 65cm pattern directly here:
      https://www.ithilear.com/serindemyuu/patterns/65cm-hoodie.pdf

I'm still working on fleshing out my Minifee offerings, since she's one of my newest dolls! Suggestions and requests are always welcome, though I can't promise I'll get to them quickly when I have a request backlog. ;)

I also put together a video tutorial for this pattern, which you can watch on YouTube.

If you get stuck or confused, you can leave me a comment here or there and I'll do my best to help you through it, but hopefully the video answers any questions you might have!

I'm thinking I'll make a slight variation of this pattern for a pull-over style hoodie, too. What do you think?

    5. Came for the pattern, stayed to see all your other ones on your site! Thank you so much for all of the resources! I'm definitely going to get fabric to make the bat caplet sooner than later!

    7. It looks amazing; makes me wish I could sew:D

    8. Loved the video and definitely want to make one for all my dolls. Always amazing to see your videos.

    9. The pattern looks weirdly squished/distorted? Some of your others do as well, like the minifee sundress. But some are fine like the 1/4 corset and panties. Thank you though. It's nice to have a combination of patters AND videos showing how they're made. :)

    10. You know, I've had several people say that in YouTube comments lately and I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on! Would you mind letting me know what browser you're using to view it and if you're using a computer or a mobile device? I've looked at every pattern on my site from 5 different browsers on 3 different computers and they're all working for me! :...( I can't figure out why some people are having issues.

    11. Ok cool! I am on a Mac laptop on Safari, but I just checked on Firefox and it's fine there! Which is awesome cause I wanna make that hoodie!!
My guess is that Safari is reading it weird. Which isn't as unusual as I'd like, I've had random issues with certain sites on Safari. One of the reasons I have Firefox as well. Probably that is the issue others are having too. Just recommend they try in a non Safari browser.

    12. Thank you so much for that information! I use a Mac for work, so I’ll have to break-sneak some files over there to see if I can figure out the compatibility issue for the future. For now, I’ll add a note about it to the patterns page.
I hope the hoodie works well for your dolls!!

    13. Ok, update: the ones that are squished when opened in Safari are fine when opened in Firefox, BUT are squished if downloaded from Firefox. And if directly printed from Firefox they are giant and print only a small zoomed in portion and won't scale to fit no matter what I do. So I screen shotted off Firefox and made sure it was scaled right when printed and double-checked with the handy inch markers that it was printed right. So annoyingly roundabout, but I got them successfully printed! Now onto the actual sewing....

    14. Again, thank you!! This is all super helpful information. Narrowing it down to a PDF encoding issue as the most likely culprit, so hopefully I'll be able to fix them all in the near future.
