I don't think I've ever done a box opening photoshoot let alone post anything DOA or anywhere at all, so I figured why not start with the first boy that I get as a full-fledged adult and as someone who is returning to the hobby after being absent for years! The (Massive) Box Jointed hands (this was so, so exciting for me, I've always dreamed of having these on one of my dolls!) His hands GRIP! Head in pristine condition, with what I think was the default company faceup? (Thanks to the DOA seller for the spare eyes!) Zenya finally put together (but naked) with glass eyes that was meant for Ciel, but he looks so good in I can't get over his sculpt and face... the eyes suit him so well too! I'm obsessed. Looks like Google Drive photos do not show up on threads here, so I'll just post hyperlinks and descriptions Anyway, nothing crazy, but I noticed there aren't many posts or threads on Soom Sullivan, a sculpt that I find absolutely beautiful, so I figured fellow DOAers can enjoy and reference more pictures from this little post. Thank you @moment for making my dreams happen so fast, and special thanks to @esuko for the waterprisms! (I initially wanted to give the eyes to another boy, but after trying them on Zenya, I think they are his to keep)
Yes, they are working now He is incredibly gorgeous! congratulations That face up is so stunning especially with the light eyes. The jointed hands look wonderful too. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to seeing how you will style this handsome man.
Thank you~ I'm really excited to start tweaking him as soon as more tools and accessories come in! Stay tuned!
My goodness, Victoria!! He is so so beautiful, and the eyes truly fit him so well! I’m so happy they ended up going to a gorgeous boy who brings the soul out in those eyes. Thank you for sharing, and congratulations on getting Zenya! It’s sweet to think that he’ll be with you on your bjd journey from now on. he is truly so lovely.
Congratulations! He's a great looking guy. I'm most impressed with those hands, though - wowza! I don't have any dolls with articulated hands but I'm so fascinated by them!
Thank you for the compliments, everyone! Slowly but surely, have been sanding him, primping him, finally his wig came in the mail today, so I thought I'd share some updated pics: Side profile (he's SO pretty.. wow) Mesmerized. He's coming together slowly, but surely.
