Drew her while waiting on Shapeways uploads. Thinking she might be my next project. Crits welcome! :)

    2. I like the hip to torso ratio! However, I'm a bit concerned about the curvature of the legs. Your drawing looks a tiny bit knock-kneed...unless she's standing with knees and toes turned in and legs bent. The forearms' curvature similarly concern me. Flesh can move around a lot but bones do not --- it might be helpful to sculpt/draw the bones and joints and then place the flesh around them. Drawing the torso without boobs is often *very* helpful. The ankle joint looks a bit high to me.

Lastly, I notice that her facial features are pushed away from center, eyes far apart, nose both wider and longer than normal, mouth low, nearly no cheek and chin. If this is a stylistic choice, then ignore what I'm about to say. But to me it looks like the result of extreme perspective (wide angle lens, very close to the face). View attachment 467

    3. She is very cute!! I wonder if maybe with such exaggerated curves, she might be better off with just one torso joint instead of two? I think one joint near the waistline like older Delf or SD13s would give her plenty of movement but really keep the lines clean. Just a thought.

    4. Thanks for the feedback! She's definitely knock-kneed, just because I like the extra curviness. The forearm curve I agree is too much, though, and the ankle joints are too high. The face is deliberately stylized, but it will probably end up a little closer to realism as I sculpt.

And Miss Pygmalion, I'm always really indecisive about torso jointing, just because I love the clean lines of non-jointed, but also the poseability of jointed. So, we'll see!
