I own a Katya for a couple of years so far and I'd like to get a Zhu in the future. These dolls are really well made, the resin is sturdy and super smooth and I really love their size .
Your Theo is gorgeous, you did get a fullset didn't you?

 

Yes, I was talking about the outfit, I really love the hat ^-^! I'd like to get some boots from Yuliya as well, as it's quite difficult to find some in their size/right proportions <-<''.
I'd love to get a Zhu to make a corean/traditional custom, but not in a girly way, more a middle way between the male and the female fashion during the Goryeo period ^^;.

 

These dolls are absolutely beautiful works of art. As such, I see they are ordered on an individual basis from the artist. Is there a ball-park figure available, as I do not wish to waste her time with a simple question. Are they $6,000.00 a piece? $3,000.00? $1,500.00? I know the figure will depend on many factors, but $6,000.00 is a far cry from $1,500.00, so it would be nice to just have an idea. Absolutely beautiful though!

 

Thank you, @Follow-the-Wind. I'm searching for more information on the artist, but it's proving rather time-consuming with the language barrier, running everything through Google translate and such. @stuartsmycat : even though Yuliya doesn't accept layaway plans, you usually have to pay a half of the total amount when you place your order, then the rest along with the shipping cost once the doll is ready to be shipped.
The easiest way to place your order is through email or messaging her on FB.

As far as I know she's currently running a 20% discount on her boys.

Just thought I'd join this thread as I finally got my act together to send her an email.... I was mainly enquiring about price (which you've answered above, @Follow-the-Wind, thank you).... I don't know how I missed this thread in previous searches. I will need to do a bit of saving before I can put in an order, I have been lusting after Yuki for quite some time but all her dolls are lovely

 

I would like to join this thread. I am going to order a doll from Yuliya next month, they are so lovely made and the size is promising to be a fun. Can't decide which one, Yuki or Emma.

 

Some information I became from Yuliya today as I asked for Yuki:
The eyes size is 8 mm. Some 6 mm eyes can fit, too.
Foot length: 65 mm.
Foot width: 25 mm on the widest place.

Hi, I have received my Yukidolls order today. It took exactly 3 months before the shipping date, the shipping itself took appr. 2 weeks from Russia to Germany.
I have ordered a Yuki and an Emma additional head. I have changed the heads already, because I do like the Emma head a little bit more. She stays very stable on her feet. I am impressed by the quality.

 

I hope that you will post photographs once the euphoria wears off. Congratulations on the new babies.

@nufa congratulations on your new girls, they are both very beautiful. Although I am even more confused now as they both look like Yuki to me.... I'd only recently figured out the difference between Yuki and Katya, I thought Emma was much more European looking. It's a bit like PashaPasha, I had to order one with my fingers crossed that it would be the one I liked the most as I got so confused betweent he sculpts.... maybe they are all beautiful

You are quite right, the difference between Yuki and Emma molds is minimal, so I was confused at the beginning, too. ^^
I think it is very difficult to catch the difference with a camera and I probably haven't managed it. ^^
There are some really tiny details which make the tiny difference. Probably the same FU painting style is the thing which makes them look so similar to each other, too. ^^

So do I. I've been admiring them for quite a while now. Was someone selling one on the marketplace? Can't remember.

 

I'm not sure, I don't have MP access and I haven't applied yet because I heard there is a delay on review and approvals. :/
I wonder if the artist does pre-orders.... I read through this thread once but I don't remember how everyone else received their dolls.

What body do you think would work for a yukidoll head? I know they're almost a small SD size, but not quite...and I've got a few smaller SD heads on say, zaoll bodies. I'm wondering what the best hybrid might be?

I wish there were more of these gorgeous dolls around! They're fantastic!

I don't think that Yuliya sells the heads separately though... however they're not like small SD, they're slim MSD ^-*.

Edit: and yes, there's actually a Katya on the mp right now.

 

I have already written in this thread, that Yuliya has sold me a full doll AND a separate head. So generally it is possible, you will need to ask her. I am not sure if she would sell the head only, without a full doll. I think the separate head was more like an option part in my order. But you will need to ask her directly.
All her heads are meant to be MSD size (ca. 16,5 cm circumference). But they are on the bigger side for MSD, probably because of their form.
I have sold my Yuki full doll here on MP. I still have my Emma head and have tried the head on some MSD bodies I have - no way, it doesn't look plausible for my taste, it is a bobble-headed look. I am still looking for a proper body for her. The head I have needs a long neck, all the normal necks are too short for her.

You're right if you talk about the more realistic ones, which are the least numerous between the majority of the MSD, with a head size that goes from 6/7 to 7/8 inches ^^''. It's true that the heads are getting smaller and smaller lately, but there're still a bunch of bigger MSD around.

However I also think that it would be pretty difficult to find a good match for those heads, they're quite unique.

 

@EchoUndine: No problem, dear, there is nothing to apologize. ^^
I would take some technical photos of the Emma head on the other MSD bodies I have, just as a short reference for proportions. ^^

The resin match is almost perfect with Souldoll normal 2017.

 

I don't mind her on the Soulkid body but it's all so personal. I hope you find a match you are happy with soon, Yukidoll faces are so lovely

I just wanted to show here how the head could look like on the other MSD bodies. I hope it helps someone who is also considering the hybriding. ^^

 

The echo town body doesn’t look too bad actually!

 

@Frug101: Yes, it would work as a compromise. Echo Town body has some features which are very similar to the original body (relatively wide hips, long neck). ^^
